Operation
1. Place the SFT perpendicular to the fruit.
2. Press the trigger on the SFT.
•A beep and a green light indicates a valid measurement.
•Haptic feedback and a Red light indicates an invalid measurement.
3. Regularly clean the SFT tip
Cleaning Procedure
Clean the inside of the tip and probe regularly to prevent debris entering the gun mechanism.
1. Remove the nose tip and probe. Then clean both.
2. Re-install the tip. Then re-install the probe.
3. Fire the SFT twice to ensure the probe is seated correctly.
Warnings
•Avoid triggering the SFT while pointing it upwards, as debris may be dragged into the
mechanism.
•If the probe falls out. Reinsert the probe and fire the gun at least twice.

Installation
1. Search for “WEL Connect”in the Play
Store or scan the QR code above.
2. Tap on “Install”
3. Tap on “Open”

4. Allow access to location. (This is
required to connect to devices.)
5. Press the trigger on the SFT gun to turn
it on. Note: The SFT will be highlighted
in red after the trigger has been
pressed.
6. Tap on “CONNECT”
7. Complete calibration check, then tap on
“CLOSE”.
8. Tap on “START SESSION”.

9. Fill out fields as required, then tap on
“START SESSION”.
10. Record measurements. To end the
session, press “back button.”
11. Once your data session is completed,
tap the icon or slide your finger
from the left side of the screen to the
right side to bring up the MENU.
12. Select “Data”.

13. Select the data you want to email off.
Then tap on “EMAIL”. Note: Tap on the
recorded data to resume.
14. Allow access to photos and media. This
is required to generate the email
attachments.
15. Select your email client.
16. If using Gmail tap the “paper plane”
Button to send the data file.

Add License Key
1. Tap on “Licenses”.
2. Tap on “SCAN DEVICE KEY”
3. Scan the QR code in the SFT rugged
case.

Change Minimum and
Maximum Limits
On the SFT you can set minimum and maximum
limits for a valid measurement.
If the measurement is below the minimum value.
The SFT will flash pink.
If the measurement is above the maximum value
the SFT will flash yellow.
1. Tap on “CONNECT”
2. Tap on “CONFIG”
3. To edit the minimum and maximum
limits to what you want.
Tap on the “+” to increment the value.
Tap on the “-” to decrement the value.
Tap on the value to type the value in.

4. Tap on “APPLY CONFIG” to save the
limits to the SFT.

PC Software
Requirements
The SFT dongle is required to use the SFT with WEL
Connect for PC.
Installation
1. Insert the flash drive included into your
computer.
2. Open the flash drive.
3. Double click on “WEL Connect.exe”.
4. Click “Next”
5. Click “Install”
6. Click “Yes”
7. Click “Install”

8. Click “Finish”
9. Insert the “SFT Dongle” into your
computer.
10. Open the “WEL Connect”Software on
your desktop.
11. Press the trigger on the SFT to wake it
up.
12. Select the “SFT”from the drop down
and then click “Connect”
13. Click “Enable”.
14. Select values to type into Excel and
output format required.
15. Open “Excel”

16. Click the cell that you want to insert the
first measurement into.
17. Press the trigger on the SFT.
The measurement will be inserted into
Excel in the nominated cell.

Change Minimum and

to what you want.
2. Click “Apply to Device”to save the
limits to the SFT.

Fire SFT via a Hotkey
You can use the WEL Connect software to remotely
fire the SFT and collect data into Excel.
1. Select the “SFT” from the dropdown
and then click “Connect”.
2. Click “Enable”
3. Click “Settings”in the “File”menu.
4. To change the Hotkey click into the
textbox. Then press a key combination.
5. Click “Save” to apply settings.
6. Open “Excel”
7. Click the cell that you want to insert the
first measurement into.
8. Press the Hotkey then the SFT will fire.
The measurement will then be inserted
into Excel.
