This manual is prepared to provide you with guidelines on how to properly operate and
maintain the Bedal 3S. Please read this user manual before operating in order to prevent
unexpected malfunction or damage. Please refer to the manual carefully and follow the
instruction.

Operating Condition

Caution: Serious bodily injury or mechanical damage may result from
insufficient attention to or incorrect compliance with warning
messages with this symbol.
●Do not attempt to disassemble or reassemble the machine. It may cause an electric
shock or mechanical problem.
●Disconnect the power immediately if liquid or a foreign object enter the inside of the
machine.
●Do not input metal or inflammable material into the inlet.
●Remove the power cable while moving the machine.
●Where the wind is directly affected to the machine, it may cause measurement errors
due to wind, and measurement time could get longer.
●Be careful not to place objects that exceed the allowable load of the unit, as this will
cause the unit malfunction. (Even if no power is applied, overload will cause a
damage)
●Do not install the machine on the place as below.
- Near window or places exposed to direct sunlight.
- Where vibration is detected or unstable place (causing measurement errors)
- Where temperature changes suddenly or poorly ventilated.
- Places exposed to hot or cold air directly. (not office circumstance)
- Not solid enough or weak floor.
- Near excessive electromagnetic waves are generated (causing measurement errors)
- Where strong winds blow (measurement time may be increased)

About Bedal

Bedal 3S is an electronic Dimensional Scanner that automatically measures the
weight and dimension of your parcel. It transmits captured dimension, weight,
image and other data to the host like Windows based PC, Tablet or TCP/IP linked
Server. Not working as a standalone, Bedal 3S is an Input Device required to be
linked to your computer. Bedal 3S will pay for itself, enjoy automatic measuring and
experience your time and cost saving!

After unpacking, unscrew 4 bolts marked as circle in the below picture &
remove the rear cover. (keep the bolts)

Assemble the Upper Unit to Post (Main Body) as below picture. Harness & USB
connector must go through the Post.

to the Post.

Fix the Upper Unit & the Post with Truss M4X10L * 6pcs. (included)

Re-assemble the rear cover, screw 4 points marked as circle in the below picture
with 4 bolt (unscrewed #1)

Connect PC / Tablet PC / Printer & other components to the rear port.

Please check the horizontal position of the installation site by using the leveling
system.
If the level does not match, use the leveling screw at the bottom of the unit to
level it. (total 3 point)
If the product is not leveled, errors may occur when measuring the
weight and dimension of the object.

Connect Power Cable to the DC Power Jack.
After connecting the power, turn on the power switch.
Please be sure to turn off the power after completing the acceptance.
If turning off the power during operation, it causes unexpected errors.

Please make sure to use only provided adapter. Using other adapter
may cause the unit malfunction.
When Bedal 3S is turned on, initialization will be started. After initialization, the green
light on LED (Upper Unit) turns on and ready for measurement (takes 4~5 seconds)

Measure the object as below picture.
1
①Put the object on the Bedal 3S. Push to the Object Detect Sensor for operating activation.
②Bedal 3S automatically measures the dimension and weight of the object.

* Green light flashes during measurement and a beep sounds when measurement is complete.

③Extend the Length Measurement Unit for large object as below picture.
(extendable to 29“ / 735mm max)
After using the Length Measurement Unit extension, please reduce the
Length Measurement Unit back to original position.
* Extend the Length Measurement Unit to the end. If not, Bedal 3S doesn’t detect the object &
beep sounds.
* Place the object to cover the sensors while Length Measurement Unit is extended.
* Bedal 3S is not able to detect small object when Length Measurement Unit is extended.
Please purchase <Extend Guide –optional> if you want to keep operating Bedal 3S in Length
Measurement Unit extension.
