Specific Safety Rules for the Reciprocating Saw
1. Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when cutting in areas where the
blade may come in contact with hidden wiring or it’s own power cord.
Contact with live wiring will cause non-insulated parts of the saw to
become live and if touched, shock the operator.
2. Do not start the saw with the blade touching any surface. The blade
action will cause kickback, which can result in injury.
3. Allow the blade to come to a complete stop before putting the saw
down. A moving blade can come in contact with something and cause the
saw to bounce or turn which can result in material or bodily damage.
USAGE
This reciprocating saw is designed for heavy-duty uses. Please refer to
Figure 1 to familiarize yourself with the major components of this tool
before using it.

ASSEMBLY
This carton contains:
●1 reciprocating saw with electronic speed control
●1 metal cutting blade
●1 wood cutting blade
●1 hex key wrenches (4mm)
●1 set of replacement carbon brushes
●1 instruction manual
Check the tool and accessories for damage, which could have occurred during
transportation.
BLADE INSTALLATION
1. First, unplug power cord
2. Rotate the Quick-Change Blade
Clamp as shown in fig. 2.
3. Place butt of blade at blade clamp
with Teeth down. Then insert blade.
4. Let go the Quick-Change Blade
Clamp and allow it to spring back into
position.
5. Pull on the blade to make sure it is secure.
6. Plug the power cord into the power outlet to operate tool.
WARNING !
Before plugging the power cord into power source, always pull on the
blade to be sure it is securely fastened in the clamp.

Failure to do so may result in serious injury.
OPERATING THIS RECIPROCATING SAW
Power Switch and Lock Button
To start saw, Pull power switch with
finger. The more the trigger is pulled,
the faster the saw blade moves. The
maximum speed can be set using the
variable speed dial. (See figure 3)
To maintain a specific speed, squeeze the trigger enough for the saw to
reach desired speed. While holding the trigger constant, press the lock-
on button and release the trigger simultaneously.
To stop the saw, simply press the power switch and the lock-on button
will be disengaged. Now, release the power switch.
GENERAL CUTTING
Hold your saw firmly in front and clearly away from you. Make sure the
saw blade is clear of any material and that the power cord and
extension cord are out of the blade path. Be sure all materials to be cut
are held firmly. Small work pieces should be securely clamped in a vise
or with clamps to the workbench or table. Mark the line to cut clearly.
Pull in the power switch to start
the cutting action. Set the Shoe on
the work, and then move the blade
into the work. DO NOT FORCE.

Use only enough pressure to keep the saw cutting. Allow the blade and
saw to do the work.
PLUNGE CUTTING (figure 4)
Clearly mark the line of cut. From a convenient starting point within the
cut area, place the tip of the blade over that point with the saw parallel
to the line of cut. Slowly lower the saw until the bottom edge of the
shoe rest on the work piece. Start the saw and allow it to attain full
speed. With the saw resting on the shoe, slowly tilt the saw forward to
lower the blade onto the cut line. Continue this motion until the saw
blade is perpendicular to the work piece.
WARNING: Be sure the blade does not touch the work piece
until the saw reaches its maximum intended speed. Failure to do so
can result in loss of control of the saw and result in injury.
METAL CUTTING
When cutting metallic materials with this saw, be sure to use a sharp
blade designed for metal work. It is recommended that the cutting
surface be lubricated with cutting oil to avoid heat buildup. Follow
general cutting procedure listed earlier in this manual. Use only enough
pressure to keep the tool cutting. D0 NOT FORCE THE TOOL.
MAINTENANCE
Warning! Do not let flammable liquids come in contact with plastic
parts. They contain chemicals that can damage, weaken or destroy the
housing. This may compromise the integrity of the double insulation.
●Inspect the mounting screws
Mounting screws should be inspected before and after each use. Be
sure they are properly tightened. Any loose screws should be tightened
immediately. Failure to do so can result in serious injury.
●Motor maintenance:

The motor winding is the key component of this power tool. Be careful
not to get the winding wet with oil or water.
●Inspect the carbon brushes
The motor contains carbon brushes that are consumable parts.
Excessively worn carbon brushes can result in motor malfunction.
Replace worn brushes with identical parts when they are worn near the
acceptable limit. Always keep carbon brushes clean and ensure that
they slide freely in the brush holder.
WARNING! A carbon brush set is included in this package for
replacement purposes. Only a qualified service technician using identical
parts to ensure the integrity of the double insulation should perform the
check and replacement of brushes. To assure the safety of customers, we
strongly recommend the use of professionals to check and change brushes.
Note: under normal usage, the carbon brushes will last longer than the
90 days warranty period. Therefore, do not open the body housing
within 90 days of purchase to inspect the brushes. Doing so will void the
warranty.
