ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
oThe electrical connection of the actuator can be made after removing the
terminal cover.
oCheck that the voltage specified on the actuator nameplate corresponds to the
voltage of the mains.
oThe actuator is equipped as standard with simple potential-free feedback
contacts, which are suitable for a maximum load of 230V/AC and 3A, or 24V DC
and 5A.
oLead the connecting cable(s) through the gland(s) into the inside of the housing and tighten the
glands carefully.
oConnect the wires of the connecting cable(s) to the terminal strip according to the diagrams above.
oMount the terminal cover.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTION WORK
oThe power supply must be disconnected before any intervention on the
electric actuator.
oAny intervention must be carried out only by a qualified electrician or by
personnel trained according to the rules of electrical engineering, safety and
all other applicable standards.
oIt is essential to follow the sequence of instructions for connection and commissioning described in
these instructions, otherwise proper functioning is not guaranteed.
oCheck the data on the nameplate of the actuator, they must correspond to the power supply.
oThe product must be protected by a device to interrupt the circuit (device protection fuse), which
must be adapted to its power and easily accessible.
oPlease install an additional residual current device (RCD) to operate the actuator.
oDo not connect several actuators together in series or parallel!
oGrounding is mandatory according to the applicable standard for over 42V!
COMMISSIONING
oCommissioning may only be carried out in installed condition!
oOnce the installation and connection work has been completed, the power
supply can be switched on.
oIn the basic position of switch S, the actuator should move to the "OPEN"
position (see position indicator).
Actuate switch S, the actuator should move to the "CLOSED" position.
