Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Descriptions
WI-BRIDGE media co verter is desig ed to
co vert 100BASE-FX fiber to 100Base-TX copper
media or vice versa. It is primarily desig ed for
large, higher speed/ ba dwidth dema di g work
groups that require expa sio of the Ether et
etwork. It ca exte d the co ve tio al 10M
Ether et or 10/100 fast Ether et to 2km-120km
via the fast Ether et fiber optical li e.
It is high-performa ce, cost effective a d flexible
solutio s for a wide ra ge of applicatio s i the
field of broadba d WAN established by data
etwork operators. It ca be i serted i to
rack-mou t chassis or i serted i to sta dalo e
shell.

Chapter 3 Installation
3.1 Installation
1) After you received the devices, firstly you should
check whether the packi g is well, otherwise,
please co tact with our compa y or the local
age t i time so as to solve the problem.
2) Tur o the power supply of the co verter.
3) Co ect local RX to remote TX via optical fiber,
whe local FPL i dicator should be bright. A d
co ect local TX to remote RX, whe both local
a d remote FRX, FPL i dicators should be
bright. If they are si gle-fiber co verters,
co ect the optical fiber, a d it is OK.
4) Tur o the power supply of the co ected
Ether et devices.
5) I stallatio is completed.

Single-fiber bi-directional Media Converter has
two types:
Type A: Transmitting wavelength 1310nm,
receiving wavelength 1550nm.
Type B: Transmitting wavelength 1550nm,
receiving wavelength 1310nm.
Type A and Type B must be used in pair (i.e. if one
end is Type A, then the other end must be Type B)
