FSMR User Manual - 2 -
3. To use FSMR internally or externally plug in the IDE ribbon cable into
the IDE connection port. If you are installing FSMR inside a computer, the
other end of the ribbon cable will need to be plugged into an empty IDE slot on
the motherboard. If you are using FSMR externally, connect it to your
DriveDock as shown to the right. Connect the dock to your computer via USB.
Also, if there is a plastic jumper on the back of the FSMR, remove it.
4. For internal use mount FSMR in your computer. In an open 3.5″bay in your computer, install
FSMR as you would an internal floppy disk drive. A bracket will be needed to install into a 5.25″bay.
5. Your FSMR is ready to use. Now just insert one of any of the five media types that you need to
access.
