Electronic Programmable Charging Scale
Function Keys
zLb: weight in Pounds
zKg: weight in Kilograms
zZERO: zero reset
zSET: enter program weight
z▲: Increase program weight
z▼: Decrease program weight
zGO / HOLD: start charging system / pause the charging system
zFORCE: open the solenoid valve to release the refrigerant in the charging hose when the
charging procedure is over.
zON: power switch
zOFF: power off

Prepare
1. Please remove the scale out of the case.
2. Place the scale on a flat and hard surface.
3. Install a new 9V alkaline battery by removing the battery cover that is located at the back
of the control box.
Weight measurement
1. Switch on the scale by pressing the “ON” button.
2. Select measure unit (kg / lb) by pressing and releasing the “UNIT” button.
3. Press the “ZERO” button and the display will reset to zero.
4. Turn off the scale by pressing the “OFF” button.

Set up
1. Plug power cord into wall outlet.
2. Switch on the scale by pressing the “ON” button.
3. Place the refrigerant tank at the centre of the platform.
4. Connect one end of the charging hose to the “INPUT” and the other end to refrigerant
tank.
5. Connect one end of the charging hose to the “OUTPUT” and the other end to either the
manifold or to the A/C system.
6. Open the valve of the refrigerant tank and purge air from hoses.
Programming
1. Press the “SET” button, and the LCD will display zero.
2. Enter the amount by pressing the “▲” or “▼” button. When dispensing larger amount, in
order to increase the speed, press and hold the “▲”or “▼” button for 5 seconds.
3. Press the “SET” button again. The scale will return to weight model.
Charging
1. When the programming is completed, press the “GO/ HOLD” button to start charging. A
“CLICK” will be heard as the solenoid opens, and refrigerant starts to flow.
2. The amount will start to decrease indicating the weight dispensed.
Caution: will be displayed if the charging amount is not set or the refrigerant tank is
empty.
3. If the refrigerant tank empties before the programmed charge is reached, press the
GO/HOLD key again to stop the operation.
4. Close the empty tank valve, disconnect the hose, replace the tank and reconnect to the
valve.
5. Press the GO/HOLD key again. The solenoid valve will ‘click” open.
6. When the programmed amount of refrigerant has been charged, the solenoid valve will
close and the charging mark will disappear.
7. Check the display: when the target charge or maximum allowable charge is reached, the
scale will back to weight measurement model and display the current reading.
8. If there is a need to release the refrigerant in the charging hose when the charging
procedure is over, please press the “FORCE” button.
9. When the operation is completed, close the refrigerant tank valve, the manifold valve or
the recovery machine. Press the “OFF” button to turn off the scale. Remove the refrigerant
tank from the scale platform and from the manifold or recovery hoses.

What if
1. : If the battery sign appears on the left hand corner of the display panel, it
means that the battery power is low. Please replace a new battery.
2.
: Scale overload.
Tips for use and care
1. For accuracy, place the scale on a hard and flat surface.
2. For accuracy, please avoid overloading the scale.
3. Keep the scale dry - water or other liquids will damage electronic components inside.
4. Keep the scale away from potential interferences such as electrical appliances, strong
magnetic field and corrosive gas or liquid.
5. Do not drop or bump the scale.
6. If LCD display has no reading, then replace the battery. If still no reading, please see
“Warranty & Service”.
Warranty & Service
OPENING, OVERLOADING, OR TAKING APART THE SCALE WILL VOID WARRANTY.
One year warranty – on defect or malfunction. We will repair at no charge. If you have any
questions, please contact your local dealer.
CAUTION: Please take care in packing and moving the scale to prevent damage. Any damage
will not be covered by this warranty.
