Preface
Data communicationstandardisagreedon,publishedandabidedby inorderto
accomplishcommunicationamongthe different unitsfromdifferent vendors.But
different communicationnetworks havedifferent standardsduetotheir
development periods,backgroundandother historicalreasons. Forexample,G703,
V.35,X.21,V.36,RS-422 and RS-530areall usedin high-speedcommunication
with little functional difference. But they differ in their physicaland electrical
characteristics.Multiple existingstandardsinhibit their direct communicationasto
needamediabetweendifferent products.Ourconversionproducts aredesignedto
meettheabove requirements.Fortheapplication,convertible formsare available
asfollows:
Electrical: Converting the signal levels;
Physical:Providingadifferentconnectortype
Functional: Convertingthefunctionaloperationofthesignals
Rate:Converting fromone data ratetoanother.

Quickguide
2E1-2Eth convertsE1signal and Ethernet signal toeachother. There are five
work modes forEthernetinterface.And E1 interfaceiswith 75Ωor120Ω.Please
indicate whenordering.
1)Connect properpower supply accordingtoPOWERmarkon therear
panel.Whenneeding DC–48V,setAC/DC switchtoDC-48V.Whenneeding
AC220V,set AC/DC switch toAC220V.
2)Selecttheneeded branch ofphysicalinterface accordingto E1 line.When
thesendingsignalE1 interfaceis connectedwiththereceivingsignalE1
interface,therewouldbe noE1alarm.Ifthere be,please checkthefault by E1
loop.
3)Ensure Ethernetinterfaces statuswithout E1linefault.There arefive
work modeofEthernetinterfaceforuser to select.
4)when2E1-2Eth converterconnected, LINKindicatorwill light normally.
Whilewhether F/DandSPDindicatorsareON ornotdependsonthe setting
modeofEthernet workingstatus.IfLinkindicatoris notON,pleasecheck
whether cableismade accordingtorequirement.(SW5 must beoff)Two
Ethernet interfaces canbe freely usedifneeded.

Withoutspecialrequirement,userscanoperate2E1to2Ethconverter
accordingtofactorysetting
5)Ethernetinterfaceis cross cable anddirectconnectingcable
auto-negotiation.User canselect either crossconnecting cableordirect
connectingcable.
6)Whenworking normally,PWR and LINKindicatorsare both ON.
Whether F/DandSPD indicatorsare ON or OFF dependsonthesetting mode of
Ethernet workingstatus. TheotherLED indicatorsare all OFF.
7)Without special requirement, it canwork normallywithSw1-4,SW6-8
on andtheothersoff.
8)Ifthe unit still canwork normallyaccordingtothe aboveoperatingand
themanual, please contact with your supplierand technicians.

④Supports SNMP.
2.Features
1.E1channels (fromchannel 1tochannel 2)areusedtotransparentlytransmit
Ethernet dataat 10M/100M.
2.Havebuild-inSDRAM controller with capacity of1MX16Bits.
3.WhenEthernet data transmitted,theframesare reorderedin theE1channelso
astoassure frame sorder effectively and improvethetransmissionrate.
4.It allowsthattheMax.Transmissiontime differenceofframes order between
eachtwoE1channels canbe 32ms,which can assurebe usedstably andreliably
in eachcomplicatednetwork.
5.WhenEthernet data transmitted, bandwidthattenuation ofevery E1channelis
only 64Kbps. Andtheactualeffectivebandwidth is 1.984Mbps.
6.Automaticallycheckthe usedE1channel numbers andautomaticallyassign
bandwidth.
Supportslimitationsettingof CRCerrorcode.Whenerrorcoderate is beyond
the limitation, thesystemcanautomaticallyisolatetheE1link.
7.Abundantalarmfunctions ofLEDindicatorare forfast diagnostics
8.Whenthe units works normally, Plugandplayany E1line,will notinfluence

9.Local loopfunctionavailable (FourE1channels areloopedtogether)
10.Support CRCerrorlimitationfunction.
11.When errorcodeover E1 transmissiondirection isbeyondlimitation,onlyE1
transmissiondirectionis isolated.Ithas noimpacton the other direction.
Asymmetryismaterialized in processof Ethernet transmission toassure theMax.

12.When areceivingdirection ofanyE1link
ReceivesLOS, AISandLOFalarms, thecorresponding send directionwill not
be influencedsothat Asymmetrytransmissionis materializedoverE1link.
13.whenall thereceiving directions ofE1 links arecut offand isolated, local
alarmandSNMPinformationcanstill be transmittedtotheremoteendpoint

materializedover E1 link. TheFunction isespeciallysuitableforassociated
operating betweenprotocolconverters and opticalequipments. Itis used to
diagnose fiberfailurewhen theuni-directionfiberofoptical equipmentis shut
off.
