When using the electrical appliance, the following basic safety
precautions should always be followed. Please read these instructions
carefully. Pay your special attention to important safety instructions.
Keep this “Instructions for use” for future reference.
If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is
recommended that you clean your kettle before use by
boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the
water.
1. Keep appliance away from children. Electrical appliances
should never be used without adult supervision.
2. Always check whether the voltage indicated on the
appliance (underside of kettle and base unit) corresponds
with the main voltage in your home. If this is not the
case, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
3. Switch off and unplug from outlet when not in use and
before filing, emptying and cleaning the kettle.
4. If kettle is overfilled, boiling water may spill out. Fill with
cold water only.
5. Do not operate or place any part of this appliance on or
near hot surfaces (such as gas or electric burner or in a
heated oven).
6. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or a
counter. Do not let the cord touch hot surface.
7. Never pull the cord as this may damage the cord and
eventually cause a risk of electric shock.
8. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid hazard.
9. Avoid touching the surface of the hot kettle, use the
handle and knobs.
10. To avoid possible steam damage, do not face the spout
when operating the kettle.

11. If the kettle is operated on wood furniture, use a
protective pad to prevent damage to delicate finishes.
12. To avoid scalding always ensure the lid is correctly
positioned before operation.
13. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed while heating.
14. Carefully open the lid when it is hot.
15. Extreme caution must be practised when moving the
kettle containing hot water. Never lift the kettle by its lid.
Always use the body handle.
16. Do not switch your kettle on if it is empty.
17. To protect from electrical hazard, do not immerse the
kettle, its power base or cord in any liquid.
18. The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
19. To protect against fire, do not operate in the presence of
explosive and/or flammable fumes.
20. The appliance must not be immersed in water.
21. The product is not designed for any other uses other than
those specified in this booklet.
22. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
23. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
24. This appliance is intended to be used in household and
similar applications such as:
- kitchens, shops, offices and other working
environment;
- farm houses;
- hotels, motels and other residential type environment;
- bed and breakfast type environment.

1. Use only cold water to fill the kettle.
2. The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN.

3. Switch the kettle off before removing from its base.
4. Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
5. The base and exterior of the kettle must not become wet.
6. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
7. Save these instructions for future reference.
1. Initial Use: It is recommended that you discard the
water boiled in the kettle for the first couple of times to
remove any dust and material that is left behind from the
manufacturing process.
2. How to Operate:
a) Open the lid by pressing “Trigger to Open” switch and
fill with water to the levels indicated. Replace the lid.
Caution: Water must be filled between the MAX and
MIN level as indicated on the kettle. Too little water will
damage the heating element and too much water will
cause boiling water to escape during the boiling
process.
b) Place the kettle on the Power base and connect to your
electrical supply. Position the kettle so that the spout of
the kettle is faced away from you.
c) Press down the On/Off switch and the indicator lamp
will light up to indicate the water is being boiled.
d) Never remove the lid while water is boiling.
e) Once water has been boiled, the kettle and the
indicator lamp will automatically switch off.
f) The boiling process can be terminated at any time by
lifting the kettle off the power base.
HOW TO OPERATE
PRECAUTIONS

CAUTION:
a) Never operate the appliance without filling it with water. In the
event of this, the power will be cut off automatically.
b) The filter must be in place during operation otherwise water may
spill.
1. Remove the plug from the electrical outlet and allow the
appliance to completely cool down before cleaning.
2. Never immerse the power cord, kettle and power base in
water or any other liquid. In order to maintain the polish of
the outer surface, never use abrasive cleaners to wipe the
kettle.
3. Descale the kettle regularly. Descaling depends on the
frequency of use.
4. To clean the filter, detach by pulling it out. To re-attach,
insert filter into the spout.
5. For easy storage, the power cord can be wound around the
bottom of the power base.
6. Never attempt to dismantle the kettle or the power base.
For any problems, please contact an authorised service
facility.

The appliance has been mishandled, misused and damaged by user and
not the manufacturer.
An electricity fault causes damage to the appliance.
The appliance has been subjected to unauthorised repairs or treatment.
