General Type
1. This telephone should not be used at garage, oil storage, chemical plant or near to flammable or
explosive substance.
2. This telephone should be avoided in the hospital. It will interfere medical electronic equipments such
as pacemaker and audiphone.
3. If it is found that the telephone is not successful in login onto network, please check whether the SIM
card is installed well.
4. The telephone does not identify the old SIM card of 5V and 1.8V.
5. It is forbidden to touch the antenna when the phone is being used. (Being making calls or answering
calls), otherwise the telephone will be damaged. This kind of damage is beyond the range of free
maintenance.
6. When the telephone is being used, it should be placed where signal is strong enough. In order to ensure
good voice quality, the telephone should be far from other electronic equipment.
7. Don't use chemic substance to clean the telephone, but use dry soft cloth to clean it.
8. Don't disassemble the telephone by yourself. If there is any matter, please contract the provider of the
telephone.
9. The telephone that is packed or not could piled up no more than 10 layers.
10. The telephone should be saved in the ventilate and dry place.
11. Don't knock the telephone to avoid breaking the case.
After enter menu, press “UP” key and “Down” key to scroll the content you are viewing, press “OK”
key to confirm your operation and return to the previous menu, press “ Back” key to cancel your
operation and return to the previous menu. During the edit of the input, press “Cancel” key to cancel
the last character of the inputting line, press “Delete” key to delete the whole inputting line. Without
special designation, the keys “OK” key, “UP” key and “Down” key are the keys of the facade of the
telephone. The keys of the back only are valid for setting up work mode.
Press the corresponding key to enter the entry of menu. For example, for menu “4: PHONE BOOK”,
Press “4” key to enter “PHONE BOOK”.

2. Install SIM card
1. Screw off the screw of SIM card case, and open the cover.
2. Slide back the SIM card door and lift it up.
3. Slide the SIM card into the SIM door making sure that the clipped corner of the SIM card lines up with
the clipped corner of the SIM holder.
4. Close the SIM card door and slide it to lock the SIM card in place.
5. Replace the cover of SIM card case and fixes it with a screw.

3. Power on
Connect the input end of the power adapter to main power socket, and the output end connects to the power
supply port of telephone. The telephone begins to search for the network, and the LCD shows "
SEARCHING FOR NETWORK"“INITIALIZATION” in turn. When the LCD shows icons operator name,
time and the signal, etc., login is finished.
When the telephone is connected to external power supply through power adapter, LCD displays as follows:

Notice: Please charge when the warning icon for batteries appears. Otherwise the telephone will be halted.
Then all the telephone’s functions will be ended. If the telephone has be halted, please connect the
telephone to external power supply and push the switch to “on” side, the telephone will work in

4. Menu
NOTICE:
1. For GSM desktop billing telephone, three are many versions. Different versions possess different
optional functions. In this manual, all functions include basic function and optional functions are listed.
The optional functions are marked with the icon on the left in main menu. In main menu, the serial
numbers of each entry is not the same as the final version.
2. In main menu, users can’t enter “SETTINGS” menu unless correct setting passwords is input.
In CALL REGISTER menu, users can’t erase “CALL LISTS” and “CALL STATISTICS” unless
correct user password is input. Please notice that the two passwords are not the same one. The can be
the same or be different.
5. Basic Functions
1. Three kinds of working modes
a. Locked mode (hereinafter referred as “Mode A”):
Telephone does not provide services in this mode, and the telephone does not respond even though
the user picks the handset or press any keys.
b. Prepaid mode (hereinafter referred as “Mode B”):
Users give some deposit to the owner of the telephone, and the owner sets up user’s sum as
PREPAID. During the use of this telephone, user’s total money and remained money are displayed
on LCD.

Locked mode Prepaid mode
Users can continuously make charging calls when the credit is available. When the remained credit
is not enough for the next billing duration, 10 seconds before the expiration of the credit, the
telephone will alarm the user for inadequate credit and count down as “XXs” The telephone will be
disconnected automatically within 10 seconds.
c. Postpaid mode (hereinafter referred as “Mode C”)
If the user didn’t pay deposit to the owner of the telephone, the telephone should be set up in this
mode. The owner of the telephone must reset accumulated (Details refer to 5. Inquire/Reset
Accumulated charges) for each user before the users use this telephone.
The total expenses and current call expense will be displayed on LCD. User can know this
information when his call is connected. The owner can inquire total expenses for the user through
pressing “F2”. If the optional function 3: Lock keyboard for charging from the customers is
setup, users can make many free calls and only one charge call can be called before the owner setups
working mode another time, if not, users can make many charge calls and needn’t the owner of the
phone to set working mode for another call.
2. Set up working modes
a. In locked mode, Press “Reset” key, the LCD shows

POSTPAID MODE
If “POSTPAID MODE” is selected and the telephone enters postpaid mode (The currency type is:
default. It is the same hereinafter), the third line of LCD shows “STANDBY”. If “PREPAID MODE”
is selected, LCD shows “PREPAID CREDIT 20.00”.
Press the back key “Up” key, “Down” key and “OK” key to set up the amount. When you finish the
setting of amount, press “OK” to enter prepaid mode, the LCD shows “PREPAID: XX.XX” and
“REMAINED: XX.XX” after the setup is completed.

b. In the prepaid mode and postpaid mode, press “Reset” key, the telephone enters locked mode.
3. Make Calls
a. Lift the handset or press “Hand Free” key, the LCD shows “PRESS OK TO REDIAL”, dial upon
hearing the dialing tone.

b. Dial: dial the called number, the dialed number is shown on the LCD in turn, and the sound for
pressing key is heard. If there are any mistakes during dialing, press “Cancel” key to cancel wrong
input. Press “OK” key to redial the latest dialed telephone number.
c. On competition of dialed digits, press “OK” key to send the dialed telephone number. If there is
no dialing for continuous 6 seconds, and the dialed number is 2 digits or more than 2 digits, the
telephone will send out the number automatically. The LCD shows number sending indication. If
the number dialed is less than 2 digits and there is not any dialing for continuous 6s, the telephone
will return to standby status. If the dialed number is barred number, the LCD shows “BARRED
NO.” and then returns to standby status.
d. The telephone starts timing and billing for the call as soon as the called is answered.
i. In prepaid mode, the LCD shows accumulated call times “XX”, the tariff “XX.XX/XXs”
(The currency type is: Default. It is the same hereinafter), remained credit “RE: XX.XX”, call duration
“h:mm:ss”, and call charge “USD: XX.XX”.
ii. In postpaid mode, the LCD shows accumulated call times, tariff “XX.XX/XXs”, call duration
“ h:mm:ss”, current call charge “USD: XX.XX” and accumulated call charge “FEE: XX.XX”
e. Flap hook unit or press “Hand Free” key, the line will be disconnected.
Notice: The function of accumulating calls charge and call duration is an assistant for the
owner of the telephone to accumulate users’ charge. For every user, the owner of the
telephone should reset accumulated charges. Detailed operation references to basic function 5.

4. Receive incoming calls
a. When there is a call coming, the telephone rings and displays the telephone number of the
incoming call. Lift the telephone or press “Hand Free” key to answer it. Also you can press
“Cancel” key to reject it.

b. When the call is connected, the telephone begins timing and recording charges bill.
i. In prepaid mode, if the remained credit is inadequate, the incoming call will be rejected
automatically, if the remained credit is enough, the LCD shows: accumulated call times “XX”, the
tariff “XX.XX/XXs”, remained credit “RE: XX.XX”, call duration “h:mm:ss” and call charge
“USD: XX.XX”.
ii. In postpaid mode, the LCD shows accumulated call times “XX”, the tariff “XX.XX/XXs”,
call duration “h:mm:ss” ,current call charge “USD: XX.XX” and accumulated call charge
“FEE: XX.XX”.
c. During a call, press “Up” key or “Down” key to adjust the volume;
d. If there is an incoming call and its number isn’t displayed on LCD, when it is being answered, the
incoming call number will be displayed as “0000”.
Notes: When there is incoming call under locked mode, the telephone will automatically refuse it.
5. Inquire/Reset Accumulated charges
a. Inquire Accumulated charges
i. In standby status of postpaid mode or prepaid mode, press “F2” key, the LCD shows accumulated
call times and accumulated charges.

ii. Press “OK” key. If the password is error, the LCD indicates “PASSWORD ERROR” and returns
to standby status. If the password is correct, the LCD shows as follows:

6. Inquire the dialed calls and the information of sent message.

b. The LCD shows the information of dialed calls and sent short message.
For dialed calls, it shows the information: call date, call time, call duration and call charge and call
number.
For sent short message, it shows the information: sending date, sending time and charge.
“****” indicate this entry is the information of a short message.

7. Inquire information for received calls
a. Enter menu “2:RECEIVED CALLS”
b. The LCD shows information of last call: date and time, call duration, call charge and call numbers.
c. Press “OK” key to redial the being inquired telephone number
d. Press “123/ABC” key to print (optional function).
8. Inquire missed incoming calls
a. If there are some missed incoming calls that have not been inquired, in postpaid mode or
locked mode, the LCD shows “X MISSED CALLS” (X refers to the count of missed incoming
calls). Enter menu “3: MISSED CALLS”
b. The LCD shows information of missed calls: call date and call time and telephone number.

9. Inquire call statistics
a. Enter menu “4: CALL STATISTICS” to inquire the information for the statistic of dialed calls: all
calls, IDD (international long-distance) call, DDD (domestic long-distance) calls, mobile
telephone, local fixed telephone and sent short messages.
b. The LCD shows the accumulations of call charge and call duration.
c. Press “Down” key to inquire the accumulations of call charge and call duration for all calls, IDD,
DDD, mobile telephone, local fixed, incoming calls, sent SMS in turn.

10. Clear call lists
a. Select menu “5: ERASE CALL LISTS
b. The LCD shows “ENTER PASSWORD”, input an 8-digit user password (the initial user’s
password is 64139025).
c. Press “OK” key. If the password is error, it indicates “PASSWORD ERROR” and returns to
the previous menu. If the password is correct, the LCD shows as follows:

d. Press “1” key to erase call lists (outgoing calls, incoming calls and missed calls), press “0” key to
return to the previous menu.

c. Press “OK” key. If the password is error, it will display “PASSWORD ERROR” and then returns
to the previous menu. If the user’s password is correct, the LCD will show as follows:

12. Read, forward and delete short messages
When short message is received, the phone will send out a short ring tone to indicate the arrival of new
short message. The icon “ ”will be displayed on LCD.
a. Enter menu “1: READ MESSAGE” to read short message lists.

b. Press “Up” key and “Down” key to select the short message the users want to read. The selected one
should be market with “Æ” on the left.
c. Press “OK” key to read it.
d. Press “Up” key and “Down” key to look through the short message and the correlative information,
such as the telephone number of the sender, sending data and sending time.
e. Press “OK” key to enter reply and forward menu.
f. Press “1” key to enter the edit of the replying short message. When the short message is not empty,
press “OK” key, the LCD displays as follows:

ii. Press “OK” key to send short message, press “Back” key to return to the edit of short message.
iii. Press “2” key to enter the edit of the short message that the users want to forward. On the completion
of edit, press “OK” key to send it.
g. In short message lists status or when short message is read, press “Cancel” key or “Delete” key to
delete message. The LCD will display as follows.
Press “0” key to cancel the operation and return to short message lists. Press “1” key to
confirm the operation and return to short message lists.
13. Edit and send short message
Users can edit a message that is not longer than 160 English characters. SMS centre number must
be set up.
a. Enter menu “2 WRITE MESSAGE” to enter the edit of short message. In prepaid mode, if there is
the display of “CREDIT TOO SMALL”, the customer should add his deposit and the owner sets
up it in the telephone for him.
When the phone enter the edit of short message, the LCD displays as
b. Input the contents of the short message through keyboard (Details refer to “Notes: the edit of
short message”). On the completion of edit, pres “OK” key, the telephone will require you to input
the receiver’s telephone number.
c. Input the telephone number of the receiver. Press “OK” key, the LCD displays as:

e. If the short message is sent successfully, the LCD displays “DONE” and return to the previous menu,
otherwise the LCD displays “FAILED” and then returns to the edit of short message.

a. During the edit of short message, the cursor is flashing, press “Back” key to return to the previous
menu, press “OK” to send the short message.
b. Press “123/ABC” key to switch among three inputting modes: capital letter (ABC), small letter (abc)
and digit (123).
c. Punctuations inputting: In letter inputting mode (capital letter and small letter), press “1” key
continuously, the optional punctuations will be displayed in turn. (Pressing once display the first
punctuation. Pressing twice displays the second one. The later punctuations can be input in the same
way.), Select the punctuation you want to input.
d. Press respectively “*<” key and “#>” key to move cursor to right and left. Press “Up” key and “Down”
key to move cursor to the up line and the down line. Press “Cancel” key to delete the character before
the cursor

15. Ringing tones
Two levels are optional.
a. Enter menu “RINGING TONES LEVEL”.
b. Press “1” key, ringing tone will be setup as high. Press “0” key, ringing tone will be setup as low.
16. Inquire IMEI code and software version and hardware version

17. Change user’s password
a. Enter menu “USER PASSWORD” key
b. Input an 8-digit user’s password (the initial user pas sword is 64139025). Press “OK” key. If
the password is error, LCD will display “PASSWORD ERROR” and returns to the previous
menu. If the password is correct, the LCD shows “CHANGE PASSWORD”
c. Press “OK” key after input your new password, the LCD shows “REENTER PASSWORD”,
input the new password again and press “OK” key. If the twice input password is the same,
the setting will be successful, the LCD display “CHANGED”, otherwise the LCD will display
“FAILED” and return to the previous menu

18. Setup local phone number
Local phone number will be printed as TEL. ID when print call bill. (Optional function)
a. Enter menu “LOCAL PHONE NO.”
b. Input the telephone number of SIM card number that is installed in the phone.
c. Press “OK” key to save it
6. Optional Functions
1. Printer call bills
In prepaid mode, after the call is ended, press “123/ABC” key to print call bills. In postpaid mode, if
the optional function 3 Lock keyboard for charging from the customers is selected, pressing
“Reset” key to unlock keyboard and then press “123/ABC” key to print call bills. If the optional
function 3: Lock keyboard for charging from the customer is not setup, after the users finish their
calls, press “123/ABC” key to print call bills.
While inquiring dialed call, inquiring received call, inquiring press “123/ABC” key to print the current
entry that is being inquired.

Press “1” key to confirm the operation and press “0” key to cancel it.
2. Call divert set-up and cancellation
Before using this service, please confirm you have applied for call divert from GSM service provider.
If not, this setting is invalid.

iii. Press “OK” key, the LCD shows “SETUP DONE”, if call divert has not been set up successfully, or it
will show “SETUP FAILED”.
c. Cancel call divert
If call divert has been set up, press “5” key to cancel call divert.
If cancel call divert successfully, the LCD will display “DIVERT CANCELLED”
3. Lock keyboard for charging from the customers
In postpaid mode, when a charge call is end. The keyboard will be locked and the phone will
ring to indicate the owner to charge. The owner can press “Reset” key to halt the ring and
unlock the keyboard.
4. Menu-lock
Enable menu-lock at fist before locking or unlocking menu. If it is not enable, it is no use to
press “Cancel” key in standby status. When menu is locked, user can make calls or answer
calls, but can’t enter menu.
a. Enable menu-lock
i) In standby status, press “Menu” key to enter main menu, Enter “MENU-LOCK ENABLE”.
The LCD will display as follows:

ii) Press “1” key and then press “OK” key, Menu-lock will be enabled. Press “Back” key to return
to standby status.
b. Lock menu or unlock menu.
i) When menu-lock is enabled, press “Cancel” key in standby status.
If menu is unlocking, the telephone will display “LOCK MENU?” If the menu is locked, the
telephone will inquire you “UNLOCK MENU?”
ii) Press “0” key, the phone will return to standby status. Press “1” key, the following will be
displayed.
iii) Enter an 8-digit user’s password and then press “OK” key. If the password is not correct, the
LCD will display “PASSWORD ERROR” and then the phone will return to standby status. If
the password is correct, the operation should be successful. When menu is locked, the LCD
displays as follows.
5. Phone book
The phone book can save 30 entries records including name and telephone number.
a. Enter menu “PHONE BOOK”
b. Press “UP” key and “DOWN” key to select the entry that you want to edit (The entry selected by you
will be marked with a “Æ” on the left).

c. Press “Menu” key, you can edit the entry selected, the LCD shows as follows:

d. Press “UP” key or “DOWN” key to select what you want to edit: name or telephone number (the
entry selected by you will be marked with a “Æ”on the left). Input directly the name or NO.
e. On the completion of your inputting, press “OK” key to save and return to the lists of phone book.
6. Call telephone number stored in Phone book
a. At first enter menu “PHONE BOOK”
b. Press “UP” key and “DOWN” key, select the entry that you want to call. (The entry you selected will
be marked with a “Æ” in the left).
c. Press “OK” key to call the selected one.
7. Hot keys
Lift the handset or press “Hand Free” key. Press an appropriate digit key from 1 to 9 and then press
“OK” key, you can call the numbers that are saved in the list of phone book from 01 to 09. Press “0”
key and then press “OK” key, the 10th entry of the list of phone book will be called out.
8. Inquire purse balance
E-purse is installed in the telephone. The service provider can open or close it. When the purse is
open, in standby status, press “F1” key, the LCD will display the balance of the purse as follows:

When there is not enough purse balance, the telephone can not be used to make charging call
or send short message. If the users make charging call or send short message, the LCD
displays “PURSE BALANCE LOW” to indicate the owner of the telephone. The owner of
the telephone should add money to service provider for his telephone. The service provider
will add its purse balance to the corresponding value.

where signal is better.
2. Voice is too loud. Press “Down” key to adjust voice to be lower.
Can’t work
1. Press “ON/OFF” key to restart.
2. Power supply doesn’t connect well, connect it again.
3. Power switch is broken. Contact the provider of telephone.
Only free calls can be
connected
There is not enough rest money on the SIM card of telephone, please apply
more amount from the service provider.
Echo during call 1. Press “UP” key or “DOWN” key to adjust volume to be lower.
