Operation
Operating times
Please check noise abatement regulations prevailing in your
country.
Adjust cutting height (g. B1)
Only if the motor is switched off and cutting tool is at a
standstill.
There are 5 positions for cutting height (18, 23, 28, 32,
40 mm).
Pull the adjusting arm (1) away from the sidepiece and let it
re-engage in the desired cutting height position (2). Adjust, by
1 position only, alternating right and left. The adjustment arms
must always be on the same height position.
Note: Adjust the cutting height so that the bottom blade has
no ground contact if there are uneven areas on the lawn
surface.
Selection of Cutting height
If possible, mow when grass is dry in order to protect turf. Do
not se cutting position too low when mowing very hight or wet
grass. We recommend an average cutting height of 28 mm.
To maintain a well-groomed lawn, the grass must be cut at
least once a week. The grass must be dry, for the most part,
when it is mowed. The mowing path should be as straight as
possible using a normal walking speed. The mowing paths
must always overlap by several centimetres to prevent strips
of grass being left uncut.
Insert connection cable in the strain relief (fig. B2)
Connecting to the mains (230 Volts, A.C., 50 Hz)
The mower operates from any normal household mains
supply, provided with a 10 Amp. fuse.
Note: Use a residual current device (RCD) rated for a
residual current not greater than 30 mA.
Starting
Switch on motor with mower placed on level and firm ground,
not in high grass - alternatively tilt slightly.
Note
Switch on mower only for mowing. Never allow motor to run
at idle longer than one minute!
Switch-on motor (fig. B3)
1. Depress button and hold (1).
2. Lift up bar and release button (2).
Switch-off motor (fig. B3)
Release bar (2).
Mowing
Always let cable trail on the cut side of the lawn.
Cable guidance: Place the cable firmly off the lawn or on the
already cur side of the lawn when starting to mow.
New blade condition „Mach 15“
Mowing:The blade is automatically optimized, i.e. the blade
spindle adapts exactly to the bottom blade after mowing for
some time (approx. 2 hrs.).
Turning
The mower should be turned on a surface of the lawn that
has already been mowed.
Safety switch
In case of overload or blocking, the motor shuts down
automatically!
Pull power plug and eliminate the cause of the problem!
Overload:
Cutting height is too low, or forward speed is too fast
Blocking:
Foreign object in cutting area (e.g. branches).
The machine can be switched on again after about 5 min.
Maintenance
Disconnect from power supply before performing
maintenance and cleaning.
Clean mower thoroughly after each mowing with cloth or
brush. Please note: the air intake slots of the electric
motor must be freed from grass and moss accumulations
(M4, 1)!
Do not spray machine with water. Store machine in a
dry room.
Adjusting the lower blade (Fig. W1)
You must readjust the blade if the mower no longer cuts the
lawn uniformly and cleanly.
Caution: Wear protective gloves.
Turn over the mower as illustrated. Adjust by loosening or
tightening the two lock nuts (1) on the botton blade (2).
Required tools: Spanner (wrench) 10 mm AF.
Turn the lock nut (1) to the left:
The clearance to the blade cylinder (3) decreases.
Turn the lock nut (1) to the right:
The clearance to the blade cylinder (3) increases. Adjust the
lower blade in such a manner that all cutting edges of the
blade cylinder touch lightly.
Cutting test with paper (Fig. W2)
Caution: Wear protective gloves.
The adjustment is correct if a piece of paper between the
blade spindle and the lower blade is cut cleanly. To do
this turn the blade cylinder by hand.
Note:
If problem-free cutting results are not obtained, in spite of
adjustment as prescribed, then the blade spindle, and/or the
bottom blade must be checked (see maintenance).
Changing blades (Fig. W3)
Caution: Wear protective gloves.
Change worn blades only as a set (15 blades)
15 replacement blades TC-M, part no.: 3628 094
New blade condition „Mach 15“
1. Adjust bottom blade (W1).
2. Conduct cutting test with paper (W2).
All other repairs must be performed by a WOLF service
center.
