SD-01 smoke detector is designed to sense smoke that comes
into the detector chamber. It does not detect gas, heat or flames.
This smoke detector is designed to give you a early warning
in case of start of fire thanks to its built-in siren. It enables you
to save precious time and evacuate your house before the fire
spreads. Please take the time to read this manual and make this

SD-01 adopts independent photoeletric sensor, can effectively
detects smoke generated at the first stage of fire accident. The
smoke enter the detector will make dispersion of light, and sensor
will perceive the light intensity, when the light intensity reach preset
level, sensor will launch fire alarm signal, red indicating light will flash
and start buzzer warning sound.
Installation
For a complete coverage of your home, smoke detector should be
installed in every rooms, halls, storage areas, cellars, attics and
basements. A minimum number of detectors to be installed is
one on each floor, one in every bedroom and one in the attic.

Useful indications

If your house or apartment has several floors, install Figure3:
a detector en each floor.

Here, we have useful tips for you:
1. Install the smoke detectors should be as close as possible to
the center of the ceiling. At least 10 cm away from wall if it is not
possible.
2. Install a detector in every rooms with a door that can be used as
a bedroom: smoke might be blocked by the door and the siren in
the corridor might not be loud enough to wake the person up if the
door is closed.

3. Install a smoke detector at each end of a corridor giving access
to bedrooms, if this corridor is more than 12-meters long.
4. In the cellar, install the detectors near the stairs.
5. Make sure no door nor any obstacle will prevent the smoke from
reaching the detector.
6. If you cannot install the detector at the ceiling and wall-mount
is authorized by the laws in your country, install the detectors 10 to
15cm from the ceiling.
7. If you have no choice but installing the detector on a sloped ceiling,
try to install the detector at a horizontal distance of 1m from the top
of the ceiling.
Note:
Do not install smoke detectors in the following situations:
·In or near areas where combustion particles are present, like kitchens with few
windows or poor ventilation, garages where there may be vehicle exhaust near
furnaces, hot water heaters, and space heaters.
·Do not install smoke detectors less than 20 feets (6 meters) away from places where
combustion particles are usually present, such as kitchens. If the 20 feet
distance is not possible, e.g. in a mobile home, try to install the detector as far from
the combustion particles as possible, preferably on the wall. To prevent false alarms,
provide good ventilation in such places.

1. Self-checking
Self-checking function used for check power supply and circuit
condition, once a week. Press Test button once, smoke detector
emits emergency alarming code, led light flashing and siren start
to sound.
2. Alarming
Normally, the detector led light flashes every one minute. Detector
will launch alarm when it detects smoke intensity reached preset
level, flashes led light and sound siren for 1 minute, press Test
button can stop the alarming code, detector will detect again
after 10 seconds.
3. Battery check
Device will self-check its battery voltage every one minute, when
voltage lowers then 6.8V, led light will flash and make beep (Battery
check) to remind low voltage, please change new battery to make
it work normally.
4. Pair with alarm system
Detector could be coded to work with home alarm system, alarm
panel under coding status, then press Test button of the detector to
emit wireless signal, alarm panel will receive and confirm it. Successfully
coded smoke detector will send detected signal to alarm system to
call or SMS text users for warning.
