notice WARNING and CAUTION symbols.

safe and efficient installation of Wolf equip-
ment. There are two types of potential
hazards that may occur during installation.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
IMPORTANT NOTE: This installation must be
completed by a qualified installer.
Installer: Please read the entire Installation
Instructions prior to installation. Save these
instructions for the local inspector’s refer-
ence, then leave them with the homeowner.
Homeowner: Please read and keep these
instructions for future reference and be sure
to read the entire Use & Care Information
prior to use.
Any questions or problems about the installa-
tion should be directed to your Wolf dealer or
visit our website at wolfappliance.com.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This appliance must be
installed in accordance with local codes. The
correct voltage, frequency and amperage must
be supplied to the appliance from a dedicated,
grounded circuit which is protected by a
properly sized circuit breaker or time delay
fuse. The proper voltage, frequency, and
amperage ratings are listed on the product
rating plate.
Record the model and serial numbers before
installing the hood. Both numbers are listed on
the rating plate, located inside the left wall of
the hood shell. Refer to the illustrations below.
A) Installation work and electrical
wiring must be done by qualified
person(s) in accordance with all
applicable codes and standards,
including fire-rated construction.
B) When cutting or drilling into wall
or ceiling, do not damage electrical
wiring and other hidden utilities.
C) Ducted fans must always be vented
to the outdoors. Regulations
concerning the discharge of air have
to be fulfilled.
D) The air must not be discharged into
a flue that is used for exhausting
fumes from appliances burning gas
or other fuels.

INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS
Wolf Pro wall ventilation hoods and hood
liners are recommended for use with all Wolf
cooking appliances.
Wolf Pro ventilation hood liners are available
to accommodate 914 mm, 1067 mm, 1219 mm,
1372 mm and 1524 mm wide hoods.
IMPORTANT NOTE: For optimal performance,
a Pro 686 mm deep wall hood is recom-
mended for use with ranges and rangetops
that contain a charbroiler or griddle.
Proper installation is the responsibility
of the installer.
Make sure you have the tools and materials
necessary for proper installation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Wolf Pro ventilation
hoods and liners are shipped without the
blower assembly. Wolf internal and remote
blower assemblies are available, refer to page
27. Use only a Wolf blower with Pro wall venti-
lation hoods and hood liners.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Wolf recommends that
the Pro wall ventilation hood or hood liner be
installed 762 mm to 914 mm above the coun-
tertop.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, it’s agent or
similarly qualified persons to avoid a
hazard.

DECORATIVE HOODS
A decorative hood can be created out of wood,
plaster, tile or metal. The shape of the decora-
tive hood is not critical. The only place where
the hood liner and outside cover must meet is
at the bottom edge of the liner. The decorative
hood and liner must fit at the bottom edge in
both width and depth.
The height of the hood liner does not have to
be the same as the height of the decorative
hood and is generally shorter.
The top depth of the hood liner, which is
305 mm standard, must be less than the
interior depth of the decorative hood. Measure
the interior depth of the hood at the top height
of the liner to make sure the liner will fit inside
the decorative hood.
The hood liner comes standard with a 102 mm
lower reveal. Be sure to include this dimension
in your decorative hood selection.
Always use the interior measurements of the
decorative hood and measure in multiple
places. Use the smallest dimensions to verify
hood liner specifications.
INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
Wolf Pro wall ventilation hoods and hood
liners require a separate, grounded 220-240 V
AC, 50/60 Hz power supply. Locate the electri-
cal supply within the shaded area shown in the
Installation Specifications illustrations on
pages 8–9.
You must follow all building and electrical
code regulations. In addition, be aware of local
codes and ordinances when installing your
service.
DUCT COVER (WALL HOOD ONLY)
If you are installing a Wolf duct cover with the
Pro wall hood, refer to instructions on page 16
before installing the hood.
RECIRCULATING KIT
(WALL HOOD ONLY)
If you are installing the accessory recirculating
kit, refer to the instructions included with the
kit before installing the hood. Accessory kits
are available through your Wolf dealer.
HORIZONTAL DISCHARGE KIT
(WALL HOOD ONLY)
If a horizontal discharge is needed for installa-
tion of a 610 mm or 686 mm deep wall hood,
an accessory horizontal discharge kit is
required. Refer to the instructions included in
the kit for complete mounting and blower
options. Accessory kits are available through
your Wolf dealer.
