Introduction
1Introduction
1.1 Introducin SmartStream
WonderMedia's SmartStream adapter is a small accessory that plugs into your V via a HDMI
or other video cable and allows you to view and control anything that's on your PC – including
videos, games, applications, photos, music, and online content – on your television. And it
does it all wirelessly!
While other Wireless Display solutions can only be used with high-end PCs from specific
vendors using specific components, or those using proprietary solutions such as w ireless
HDMI that require an additional device on the PC side, SmartStream works with any modern
PC and is able to scale its performance to provide optimal results for any given computer's
configuration.
WonderMedia SmartStream combines the wireless display capability with multimedia
streaming in a multi-threaded and seamless fashion. It serves as the DLNA digital media
renderer (DMR) for any digital media server (DMS) initiated from your PC, smartphone, tablet
or any compliant devices.
Moreover, it is not just in the home environment that the SmartStream can prove useful.
Connect the device to your office projector, and you can quickly and easily deliver
presentations stored on your PC, tablet or even your smartphone, without the hassle of
dealing with cables.
