FITTING THE CANOPY: After assembling the base and making sure the fastening handwheel is loosened, remove the umbrella structure from the protective bag, remove
all protective wrapping and place the umbrella pole into the base tube, tightening the handwheel to ensure the umbrella is secured. To fit the canopy you will require a
step ladder (although this process can also be done while laying the umbrella structure on its side on a clean flat surface, taking special care not to dirty the canopy).
2) Remove the canopy from the protective bag
and locate the eyelet at the canopy top that the
threaded finial bolt fits through.
3) Insert the finial into the finial eyelet at the top
of the canopy so that its threaded shaft fits down
through the finial eyelet.
4) Turn the canopy upside down keeping the
finial in place and preparing to screw it onto the
threaded bolt protruding from the top dome.
5) Then align the finial thread with the bolt head
(from which you first removed the nut in step 1)
at the top of the umbrella’s top dome.
6) Once the finial is aligned with the threaded
bolt carefully drape the canopy down over the
umbrella structure.
7) Hand tighten the finial in position onto the
threaded bolt, turning clockwise while ensuring
the finial is vertically orientated to avoid damage.
Do not overtighten it as the canopy needs to be
able to rotate under the finial.
8) To attach the canopy to the ribs, use your
fingers to pull the top half of the LOXX fastener
up, and place onto the ball stud mounted on the
rib end. Release the top half of the LOXX
fastener. Repeat until all corners are attached.

1) Using a step ladder get up to the same height
as the top of the umbrella then unscrew and
discard the nut protruding from the top dome.

TO OPEN THE UMBRELLA
Make sure the umbrella strap is loose.
Gently pull outwards and upwards on
a rib end to begin raising the structure
- once you reach a certain point the
self-lifting mechanism will take over,
opening the umbrella with hardly any
effort required on the part if the user. If
the umbrella does not want to open
easily it will be because a rib has been
pushed inwards and has become
locked in position. Gently pry open the
locked rib to enable free movement.
TO CLOSE THE UMBRELLA
Grip the polymer hub handle firmly
and pull directly downwards until the
in-built mechanism releases itself and
the sliding hub starts to slide down the
pole. This can be done with one hand
or two. Then step out from under the
umbrella while gently holding onto a
rib end which can then simply be
lowered until the umbrella self-closes
and can be strapped closed.
