7) Do not operate the machine on a paved or ravel surface where ejected
material could cause injury;
8) Before startin the machine, check that all screws, nuts, bolts, and other
fasteners are properly secured and that uards and screens are in place.

1) Before startin the machine, look into the feedin chamber to make certain
that it is empty;
2) Keep your face and body away from the feed intake openin ;
3) Do not allow hands or any other part of the body or clothin inside the feedin
chamber, dischar e chute, or near any movin part;
4) Keep proper balance and footin at all times. Do not overreach. Never stand
at a hi her level than the base of the machine when feedin material into it;
5) Always stand clear of the dischar e zone when operatin this machines;
6) When feedin material into the machine be extremely careful that pieces of
metal, rocks, bottles, cans or other forei n objects are not included;
7) If the cuttin mechanism strikes any forei n objects or if the machine should
start makin any unusual noise or vibration, shut off the power source and
allow the machine to stop. Disconnect from supply and take the followin
steps:
Inspect for dama e;
Check for and ti hten any loose parts;
Have any dama ed parts replaced or repaired with parts havin equivalent
specifications.

prevent proper dischar e and can result in kickback of material throu h the
feed intake openin ;
9) If the machine becomes clo ed, shut-off the power source and disconnect
from supply before clearin debris. Keep the power source clear of debris and
other accumulations to prevent dama e to the powered source or possible
fire. Remember that operatin the startin mechanism on en ine powered
machines will still cause the cuttin means to move;
10) Keep all uards and deflectors in place and in ood workin condition;
11) Do not transport this machine while the power source is runnin ;
12) Shut off the power source and disconnect from supply whenever you leave
the work area;
13) Do not tilt the machine while the power source is runnin .
14) To keep extension cords away from the shreddin means. The shreddin
means can cause dama e to the cords and lead to contact with live parts.
Maintenance and st rage
1) When the machine is stopped for servicin , inspection, or stora e, or to
chan e an accessory, shut off the power source, disconnect from supply,
make sure that all movin parts have come to a complete stop and, where a
key is fitted remove the key. Allow the machine to cool before makin any
inspections, adjustments, etc.
2) Always allow the machine to cool before storin ;
3) When servicin the cuttin means be aware that, even thou h the power
source will not start due to the interlock feature of the uard, the cuttin
means can still be moved by a manual startin mechanism.
4) Keep the motor coolin vents clean of debris and other accumulations to
prevent dama e to the motor or possible fire.
5) If an extension cord is used it shall not be of li hter rade than the supply
cord already fitted to the appliance.
6) Check the supply and any extension cord re ularly for dama e or si ns of
a ein . Do not use the appliance, if the cords are dama ed.
7) Never attempt to override the interlock feature of the uardin .
