1 Operator Mode
1.1 Descripon of Operator mode
The operator mode is used to start automac inspecon process and monitoring results of inspecon. In the
operator mode is not available configure any seng of ThermoInspector. Aer start up the applicaon opens
main screen of operator mode (see Aachments p. 8, Figure 8.1). ThermoInspector automacally connects to
the camera and start capturing thermographic video.
1.2 Automac inspecon
Automac inspecon is started by pressing buon Start Inspecon (see Figure 1.1). Aer start up automac
inspecon applicaon waits for digital input signal which starts measurement and evaluaon.

Automac inspecon can be stopped by pressing buon Unlock (see Figure 1.2) which is locate in the boom
le corner of the screen. For terminang automac inspecon is necessary to enter administrator password.

If is in the applicaon set security start automac inspecon by password, is necessary enter operator password
before every start automac inspecon in dialog on Figure 1.3. Keyboard can be invoked by buon Keyboard in
dialog window. Entered password is confirmed by pressing buon OK.

The operator of applicaon in operator mode does not interfere to measurement or evaluaon, everything hap-
pens automacally. Automac inspecon can be stopped anyme by pressing buon.
Note: If the automac inspecon is stopped, applicaon will not start measurement even if input digital signal is
acve!
1.3 Descripon of individual components
Window with thermographic video signal
Window in the top right corner of the screen (see Figure 1.4) is used to display the current thermographic video
signal from camera. In image from camera is ploed measurement area, called ROI (Region of Interest) in which
is performed measurement. Every ROI element (line, rectangle, circle,…) has in right boom corner own numeric
idenfier and according seng of applicaon, ROI shows the current maximal and minimal temperature in this
area.

By click in the window with thermographic video signal is possible switch between the video signal and calibrated
color photo which are displayed ROI from thermographic image.

Status bar
Under the window with video signal is status bar, which display informaon about state of system (Live Stream,
measurement, etc.) on the le, in the middle, according to sengs in tab App. Sengs, informaon about
current zoom of video signal or temperature of camera or current value of frame per second and resoluon
of camera. On the right is indicator Time to Calib. which counts down the me to the next automac image
compensaon. During automac image compensaon is video signal paused for moment.
Temperature range and palee of thermographic image
To the right of window with video signal is temperature palee of thermographic image. All temperatures be-
tween maximal and minimal limits (right of palee) are connuously allocang color. From palee can be easy
read what temperature has specific area in the thermographic image.
Buon Full Screen
This buon will launch the Full Screen Mode, which is described in Chapter 3. This buon can be pressed only
when is acve streaming image from the camera and running inspecon. Because this applicaon is only display
and it is not possible to set anything or launch.
Table of definion of measurement area (ROI)
To the right of palee is table containing sengs for each defined measurement area. Each area in image (ROI)
corresponds to one row in the table. Table contains following columns:
ROI – Numeric idenfier which assigns row from table to specific ROI in image.
Trigger – Indicate which trigger is assigned to each ROI.
Stasc – Stasc which is evaluated in ROI. Stasc is calculated for all pixels in ROI.
Current Value – Current value of stasc in ROI.
Criterion – Criterion which is in stasc checked during the measurement.
Last Result – Value of criterion aer last measurement.
Operator – Comparison operator with which is evaluated Last Result against Criterion Value during mea-
surement.
Criterion Value – Set reference value of criterion.
Outputs 1-5 – In these columns are marked by cross linkage row to digital output of system. Etc. when all
condions are met, marked output is acve.
The table in Figure 1.5 is primary used to representaon current seng criterion, reference value, performing
operator and last measured value. If the last measured value of criterion met the condion of comparison op-
erator and reference value, whole row is colored green aer each measurement. Otherwise, row is colored
red.
In the last row of table on the le is displayed seng behavior of digital output. Are used two opon All and
One. First opon All indicate that for acvate output in the column (Outputs 1-5) have to be met condions in
all rows which have the cross in corresponding column (or row aer the measurement is green). Second opon
One indicate that for acve output in the column have to be met condions in at least of one rows which have
the cross in corresponding column.
Headers of individual column of outputs labeled 1-5 is lighted up yellow when the digital output is acve.

Inspecon Status – Displays the result of inspecon aer each measurement. If all condion are met in
the table (all row is green), the indicator lights green with the word All ROI OK. If one of condion are not
met in the table (at least one row is red), the indicator lights red with word All ROI NOK.
Running Time – Shows the elapsed me since start of automac inspecon.
Last Measurement Time – Compleon me of last measurement in automac inspecon.
Total Inspecons – The total number of inspecons from start of automac inspecon.
OK Inspecons – The number of inspecons when criterion is met (all row is green).
NOK Inspecons – The number of inspecon when criterion is not met (at least one row is red).
Number of Log Posion – Displays how many logs can be wrien on disc before filling.
Log Disc Space – Indicates a disc is full. If lights green with word Enough, there is enough space on disc. If
lights red with word Full, it is necessary archive logs and delete from disc.
Current Time – Current date and me.

waveform stasc each ROI during the last measurement. Each course is labeled with corresponding numeric
idenfier of ROI le at the beginning of chart. If the condion defined in table is not met for any ROI this waveform
is in chart drawn with dash line. If the condion is met waveform is drawn solid line. Legend assigning a color of
line to each ROI is on the right next the chart.

Chart with course in me
In chart Connuous Chart (on the le of main screen, according to sengs in tab App. Sengs) are displayed
connuous waveform stasc each ROI in me (even outside measurement). In this chart, all waveforms are
drawn solid line. Legend assigning a color of line to each ROI is on the right next the chart.

Manipulang chart
On the right next the chart is buon Autoscale On/Off to acvate or deacvate automac zoom of chart so
that each course of ROI will be displayed whole. Under buon Autoscale are buons which make it possible
manipulate chart. Buon with picture of loupe, zoom in and out different areas of the chart. Buon with picture
of hand moves zoomed chart.
Numeric outputs measured value
Numeric outputs (on the right of main screen) display value of 1-4 measured area either from current measure-
ment or connuously at me (depending on sengs). In the middle is displayed temperature value of measured
area, at the top is displayed capon of measured area and at the boom is displayed which stasc is within the
measured area evaluated.

connuously display the current state of digital inputs, the le column for Trigger 1 and right column for Trigger

2 Advanced sengs and administrator mode
Advanced sengs applicaon ThermoInspector is performed in so-called Administrator mode. In this mode
is possible configure all parameters e.g. definion of measurement areas, seng start of measurement using
external digital inputs etc.
Important noficaon: Intervenon in sengs requires good knowledge of whole system. Before changing any
parameters, carefully read the instrucon contained in this manual.
Into Administrator mode is able to log by clicking on the buon with picture of small lock located enrely on the
le boom of the main screen. Aer clicking on this buon, dialog (Figure 2.1) is displayed in which you have
to enter the administrator password. Default password is not defined, therefore it is not necessary enter it, just
click on OK buon and the le tab in boom panel of the applicaon will be unlocked. The password is able to
change in the tab App. Seng. Aer enter correct password is able to shot down or restart controller by clicking
buon Shut down PC or Restart PC. Clicking buon Show Log to see all log informaon about ThermoInspector,
number of performed image compensaon and temperature of camera in me.

In the following chapters will be described individual important sengs of applicaon in order of tabs. Tabs and
sengs which should be set by the manufacturer of whole system in this manual intenonally skipped.
2.1 Tab Image Source
This tab provides sengs for the camera. Aer the inial configuraon of system will not be probably required
change this seng.

In these fields is possible select camera to which applicaon will connect. List of cameras is connually updated
(if not streaming image from camera) for case that a camera will be connected or disconnected. For unique

are listed MAC addresses. In field under list of cameras is able to set which camera will be control from which
trigger.
Temperature Range
This field allows you to switch the temperature range of each camera individually. Using higher temperature
range usually causes lower accuracy of measurements and more noise in the video signal.
Start Video
This buon can manually connect to the camera selected in fields Camera 1-4 and start streaming video signal
from camera. Aer connecng the camera, background color of buon turns on green and clicking on this buon
again, camera will be disconnected.
FPS
In this drop-down menu is possible choose from preset values of frame rate cameras. It differs by model of
connected camera: for cameras A5/A15/A35 is possible set speed between 9-60 frames per second, between
3-60 frames per second for A315 and between 3-50 frames per second for A615.
Windowing
This seng is available only for camera A615. Allows reducing camera resoluon in half or quarters and thus
increasing the frame rate to double or quadruple.
Seng IP address
Seng camera’s IP address can be performed automacally when the opon Automac Camera IP is selected
or manually by seng individual values manually. Changing the IP address of camera is possible only before
connecng camera (before pressing buon Start Video). IP address of each camera is selected via drop-down
menu on the le of the inscripon IP Address selecng camera number (1-4). IP address of controller (Controller
IP Address) cannot be change, is displayed only for informaon purpose.

2.1.2 Image Setup

Object Emissivity
Sets emissivity measured objects (0-1). In the case of more frequent comparave (qualitave) measurement
(e.g. comparing temperature increase, finding hot spots) can leave the preset emissivity value and not to change
it during the measurement. If required precise measurements, select the emissivity value for the monitoring
material in the table of emissivity values (see Aachments manual).
Windows Transmission
Sets the relave transmission of the protecve window in front of the camera. If there is no protecve window
used, must be set to 1. The transmission of the protecve germanium window is at normal operang tempera-
ture equal to 0.98, but decreases with rising temperature. If the ambient temperature is during the measurement
higher than 50 ° C, reduce the transmission to 0.85. Accurate determinaon of transmission is carried out using
a calibraon black-body. For qualitave measurements at a constant ambient temperature it is not necessary to
change the transmission.
Humidity
Sets the humidity of environment (0-100%).

Distance
Sets the distance camera from measured object in meters.
Reflected Temperature
Sets the apparent reflected temperature surrounding objects.
Atmospheric Temperature
Sets the temperature of environment.
Image Rotaon
Sets the rotaon of thermographic image (useful if the camera is rotated to an angle other than that in which
the monitored area watching operator).
AutoFocus
This seng is available only for camera A315/A615 and allows automac camera focus on the object.
Select Camera
Let you select individual camera from list of connected cameras, whose thermographic signal will be displayed
at the top le window. In this way selected camera is possible change properes in sengs Image Setup. When
you select All Cameras image from all connected camera will be displayed, but you cannot change any seng of
camera or image.

2.1.3 Automac Image Correcon Setup

During measurement thermographic camera is necessary to connuously compensate temperature dri. Com-
pensaon have to be done at least once every 10 minutes otherwise it may cause irreparable damage to camera.
During compensaon for short me video from camera is suspended (stop measurement).
Seng Automac Image Correcon Setup allows you to set the frequency compensaon and the situaons in
which compensaon is executed.
Asynchronous, controlled by camera – The compensaon is performed automacally camera, so it may
perform anyme during the measurement.
Synchronous aer me [s]: – The compensaon is performed automacally at user-specified intervals.
Interval is set in the numerical field to the right.
Synchronous aer num. of measurements: – The compensaon is performed aer compleon of the
specified number of measurements. Number of measurements, aer which the compensaon is executed,
is set in the numeric field to the right.
Synchronous before a Measurement – The compensaon is performed before the start of the measure-

compensaon associated with measurements).
Synchronous aer a Measurementt – The compensaon is performed aer compleon of measurement.
Synchronous before and aer a Measurement – The compensaon is performed before start and aer
compleon of measurement.
Automac compensaon of the camera image is performed automacally aer the me interval set in Syn-
chronous aer me regardless of the above seng. For example, if the implementaon of compensaon is set
at the beginning of each measurement, and the measurement takes longer than the set interval, compensaon
is performed automacally aer the set interval (and measurement connues).
Select Camera
Field Image freezing me during calibraon sets the me that the video is paused when automac compensaon
is performed. This me depends on the specific type of camera it is generally in the range of 500 ms - 1500 ms.
Select Camera
Sets parameters for automac reconnecon camera when it is disconnected or an error in the displayed data.
Reconnect Interval – The operator is alerted to the disconnected camera in case that during this me
connecvity error occurs two mes.
Time to Reconnect – A me period aer which the program automacally searches disconnected the cam-
era. Aer this me, if the camera is not found, alerts the operator.

2.1.4 Temperature Calibraon

Temperature calibraon may be 1 to 3 points, according to the number of filled parameters. Real Calibraon
Temperature is the actual value that indicates the camera. It can be set in two ways depending on the seng
switch Set in Image / Numerically. If it is set to Click, you can click on the Set Locaon and choose the desired
locaon in the thermal image and value at this locaon is updated every 2 seconds and temperature calibraon
is recalculated. If the switch is set to Num, is required value Real Calibraon Temperature enter on the keyboard.
Black Body Calibraon is the value that the camera should indicate in the point, this value is entered on the
keyboard. Calibraon is acvated or deacvated by clicking tot check-box Load Calibraon. To calibrate individual
cameras is necessary to be selected the relevant camera in field the Select Camera. It is possible to calibrate each
camera. When selecng All Cameras calibraon cannot be set but shows the calibrated image that has been set
for each camera.

It is possible to select one point in the image that will be the reference and its value will be deducted from any
remaining pixels in the image in each frame. By clicking to Set Posion buon to select the point in the image
and click buon Cancel to cancel differenal image.

Change Admin Password
With this buon you can change the administrator password. For change password is necessary to enter the old
password (Old Password), and the new password twice (New password aConfirm New Password).
Edit User Database
This buon opens a dialog for managing users (User) of system (Figure 2.10). In this dialog, you can add (Add
User buon) and delete (Delete User) selected users (operators) in the table. For adding a user, you must enter
a user name (field User) and password (field Password). Clicking Keyboard buon is possible call up on-screen
touch keyboard.
