1. USAGE
Generally, pleated blinds are very easy and comfortable to use.
In order to use the pleated blind without any difficulties, it must be ensured beforehand that the curtain can move freely, i.e. that there is nothing
in the way when it is brought down and that there is no resistance present when pulling it back up. If this is not the case, then it can result in
damage to the curtain or the mechanism. If the curtain is blocked during usage then the cords or the motor and the operating elements can be
damaged!
To maintain the pleats, it is recommended that the blind is used regularly (once a month).
Pleated blinds offer excellent protection from the sun and are also effective against prying eyes. Usually, products from WOUNDWO are made in
accordance with generally valid regulations and norms, and guidelines with regard to closing behaviour and operating forces are adhered to.
A lowered blind does not protect either a person or an animal from falling out of the window.
Improper use can impair the functionality and the safety of your blind.
The warranty claim becomes invalid in case of improper use - please also see our General Terms and Conditions of Delivery.
A light pull on the pull cord on the curtain releases the brake and the blind falls.
To stop this, simply move the cord towards the curtain. An audible click signals that the brake was operated.
If the upper rail is assembled at too high a height (over 4m) then the lack of an angle can lead to difficulties in opening and closing the brake.
1.1 PLEATED BLIND WITH DRAWSTRING
The curtain can be brought into the desired position by moving the upper or lower rail on the operating handle.
The special threading technology allows for adjustments to be carried out in a continuous manner.
Uneven load on the operating handle can result in the rails becoming skewed. This can be solved by means of a setting on the operating hand-
le.
1.2 PLEATED BLINDS WITH OPERATING HANDLE
Opening and closing the curtain is done by pulling with equal force on both sides of the chain. To prevent damage, breakage of the chain must
be avoided at all costs.
To stop, simply leave the chain in the desired position.
1.3 PLEATED BLINDS WITH BALL CHAIN
Raising and releasing of the curtain is done by means of a crank. Use of the pleated blind must be done without excessive force. The crank
must only be operated in the direction that is provided.
When reaching the end stop, do not try to turn the crank any further.

sun can be fully enjoyed, we recommend that you carefully read these care and usage instructions and take note of all following points.

Mechanical and drive elements are made from plastic or corrosion-resistant steel and thus do not require maintenance.
Mild soiling
Carefully rinse coated elements such as the upper or lower rail, or plastic parts with a soft sponge and lukewarm water. Cleaning with a
cleaning agent with an antistatic effect prevents the area from being soiled again.
Before cleaning, ensure that there are no impurities on the painted metal parts that may scratch or abrade.
Curtain cleaning
WOUNDWO pleated blinds are generally washable. More precise details can be obtained from your WOUNDWO dealer.
In case of heavily soiled pleated blinds, contact your dealer or a suitable company specialising in the cleaning of buildings.
NOTE:
• Do not use any kinds of abrasive agents e.g. pastes or liquids etc.
• Do not use any mechanical aids e.g. scrapers or spatulas etc.
• Do not use high-pressure steam cleaners.
• Do not use any solvents or alcohol (white spirit).
Improper cleaning of the curtain can cause the fabric to either partially or completely lose its flame-resistant and anti-ageing properties.
2. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Textiles are subject to wear and tear and can undergo natural changes due to UV radiation, heat and water. These may cause stretching,
shrinkage and bleaching and hence potentially affect the function (closing behaviour, hanging) of the blind.
Due to technical changes, over which we have no influence, there may be visible differences between the sample product and the delivered product.
Due to changes in the collection or the batch, there may be slight changes in the colour in case of repeat orders or repairs.
No guarantees can be given in case of damage due to condensation, cleaning agents or insect excrement.
When cleaning windows and window frames, care must be taken to ensure that direct or indirect contact of the curtain with water
(condensation), strong or alkaline cleaning agents is avoided.
Pleated blinds must not be exposed to building moisture over a prolonged period in order to prevent corrosion damage. Condensation water
from ready-mixed mortar or coatings can lead to corrosion damage. Regular airing and drying out of condensation water on metal parts
maintains the quality of the blind.
Colour droplets which appear on the product due to painting must be immediately removed with a damp cloth, otherwise the proper
functionality of your pleated blind cannot be guaranteed.
All mechanical parts of the blind are hard-wearing, solidly constructed and very easy to use. However, if you encounter any problems or flaws,
please do not try to solve the problem yourself, but consult your nearest WOUNDWO dealer. Your nearest dealer can be found at

1.6 GENERAL INFORMATION
Due to a lack of perception, it is especially important to check the free fall of the curtain before use.
This applies in particular to systems which are operated via automatic control elements (sun sensors, temperature sensors, timers etc.).
If usage takes place several times in quick succession, then the thermal circuit breaker can kick in, meaning that the motor may not run
(lasts a few minutes) until the circuit has cooled down.
In case of malfunctions after a thunderstorm (indirect lightning strike), simply switching off and then switching on the corresponding circuit can
restore functionality.
Connection of the drive and additional devices must only be carried out by licensed electrical companies.

3. CLEANING
Due to a special production process, our fabrics are anti-static and are therefore resistant to dust and dirt.
Occasional brushing with a soft brush or a feather duster is usually sufficient.
In case of heavier soiling, all fabrics (except aluminium-coated and mother-of-pearl (pearl) coated furnishings) can be cleaned as described in
detail in the washing instructions.
Pull the pleated blind curtain

4. VENTILATION AND AERATION
To avoid thermal breakage of glass and the build-up of condensation, sufcient aeration and ventilation of the room, the correct selection of
glass and professional installation are all required.
We would like to point out that insufcient ventilation and aeration may cause a build-up of condensation and also a build-up of heat.
We cannot accept any guarantees for pleated blinds that have been damaged in such a manner. This also applies to glass breakages as a
consequence of heat build-up or unsuitable characteristics of the glass.

Allow the pleats to dry for
approx. 12 hours whilst pulled
together.
TIPS:
• The motor components of electric systems must NOT come into contact with water!
• The curtain must not be ironed.
• Please do NOT use any alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning the windows.
• No warranties can be upheld for damage to fabric caused by cleaning agents, condensation or insect excrement.
• When cleaning glass and window frames, care must be taken to ensure that no water or strong cleaning agents come into contact with the
fabric on the pleated blinds.

Kleinkinder können sich unter Umständen in den Schlaufen
von Bedienschnüren, Ketten und Bändern zur Bedienung der
Fensterverkleidung verfangen und erwürgen. Es besteht die Gefahr,
dass sie sich Schnüre um den Hals wickeln.
Um dies zu verhindern, halten Sie die Schnüre fern von Kleinkindern.
Kinderbetten, -wiegen und Einrichtungsgegenstände sollten sich nicht
in der Nähe der Bedienschnüre für die Fensterverkleidung befinden.
Schnüre nicht zusammenbinden. Darauf achten, dass Schnüre nicht
verdrehen und eine Schlaufe bilden.
Um das Risiko derartiger Unfälle zu verringern, bitte die mitgelieferten
Sicherheitsvorrichtungen gemäß der darauf angegebenen
Montageanleitung verwenden. Entspricht EN 13120

Hinweise zur Kindersicherheit von Plissees mit Schnur- und Kettenbedienung (Typ P1700-53 und P1800-05)
Kindersicherheit hat oberste Priorität!
Bei Plissees mit Schnurzugbedienungen (Typ P1700 - P1753), Plissees mit Kettenbedienung (Typ P1800 - P1805)
und Plissees mit Schnurbedienung (Typ P3700)
ist eine normgerechte und damit kindersichere Montage sicherzustellen.
Der Fachhändler klärt gerne über mögliche Risiken auf und sorgt für die fachgerechte Auswahl und Montage.
• Kleinkinder können sich unter Umständen in den Schlaufen von Schnüren, Ketten
und Bändern zur Bedienung der Fensterverkleidung verfangen und erwürgen.
