GETTING STARTED
Installation Guide for Roman Shades
Your roman shade order will arrive with the brackets and cord tension device
needed to install the shade to your window.

1. Ensure the provided brackets are all level at the same height, and screw the brackets into the inside of the
window frame for an inside mount, or onto the window frame or wall for an outside mount.

INSTALL YOUR SHADE
If possible, the front of the shade should be even
with the front edge of the window frame. The shade
should be centered within the window frame.

Attach the brackets to the window frame or wall at the
desired height,
and center the shade above the window.
2. Click the headrail with attached shade into the installed brackets.

3. The cord tension device provides a child safe mechanism for the continuous cord.
To install the tension device, slide it down to the bottom of the continuous cord to
where you would like the device positioned.

The device should be installed so that the continuous cord is taut without stretching or pulling down on it.
Insert and secure two screws through the holes in the tension device.
The cord should now pass freely through the device.
Install it in the window frame for an inside mount

Install it on to the window frame or wall for an outside
mount (using the included wall mount)
4. If your shade requires straightening after shipment, squeeze the round orbs on the lower back of the shade
to adjust the tension on the strings as needed.
