Wozart Universal IR is a smart device that is designed to control any IR powered
appliances. The Wozart Universal IR enables control using app interfaces, voice
assistants or a switch connected directly to it.

Precautions
• The device is designed to run on AC voltage, faulty connection or use may
result in fire or electric shock.
• Do not handle the device with wet or moist hands.
• Do not modify or alter the device in any way not included in this manual.
• Do not use in damp or wet locations, near shower, swimming pool, sink, or
anywhere else where water or moisture are present.

• Switch off the main power supply
• Insert Type B connector into the power input port of the Wozart Universal IR.
• Plug in the adapter in the wall socket.
• Turn on the main power supply to the device and proceed with configuration
on the Wozart app.
• After the device is powered on, the red indictor light on the device will start slow
blinking indicating the device is available for configuration.
• If the light is not blinking, check the power connections and factory reset the
device as explained below:
Insert a pin in the pinhole on the back of the device. Press and hold the
Button for 20 seconds.

Configuration
Configure on Apple home:
• Factory reset the device
• A successful reset will result in a slow blinking red light.
• Open HomeKit app on your Apple device.
• Tap on Add Accessory
• Select IR from the available devices which
is ready to congifure
• Scan the QR code provided with
the Wozart Universal IR
Note: Do not change the IR device name during configuration.

• Head over to Wozart app on your Apple device.
• The device will sync automatically to Wozart app and be available with the
same name.
• Long press the device tile to open the device settings.
Tap on “Connect to Cloud” option.
• Enter the 8 digit setup code provided with the device and tap submit.
• After succesful connection you can see a remote
with the name “Thermo”
• Tap on “Thermo” and start learning the AC remote
2) Tap on ”Thermo” remote.
3) Long press on the “Power ON” button on Wozart app.
4) A pop-up appears, tap “Learn”.
1) Turn off your AC with the physical remote.
5) Point the physical AC remote at universal IR device as shown below
and press the power On/off button on the physical remote.

6) A pop-up appears with “Test” button when the Universal IR recognise the
button press of the physical remote.
7) Place the Universal IR in line of site with the AC that you are learning
and tap “Test”.
8) Another pop-up appears with two options:
“Not Worked” and “Confirm”.
9) If AC is powered on after tapping on “Test”, then tap “Confirm”.
10) If it doesn’t work, tap on “Not Worked” and repeat steps 1 to 9.
Power OFF:
12) Tap on ”Thermo” remote.
13) Long press on the “Power OFF” button on Wozart app.
14) A pop-up appears, tap “Learn”.
11) Turn on your AC with the physical remote.
15) Point your physical AC remote at Universal IR and press the power button
on the physical remote.
16) A pop-up appears with “Test” button when the Universal IR recognise the
button press of the physical remote.
17) Place the Universal IR in line of site with the AC that you are learning
and tap “Test”.
18) Another pop-up appears with two options:
“Not Worked” and “Confirm”.
19) If AC is powered off after tapping on “Test”, then tap “Confirm”.
20) If it doesn’t work tap on “Not Worked” and repeat steps 11 to 19.

26) A pop-up appears with “Test” button when the Universal IR recognise the
button press of the physical remote.
25) Point your physical AC remote at Universal IR and press the temperature down
on the physical remote.
27) Place the Universal IR in line of site with the AC that you are learning
and tap “Test”.
28) Another pop-up appears with two options:
“Not Worked” and “Confirm”
29) If AC’s temperature is changed to 17°C after tapping on “Test”,
then tap “Confirm”.
30) If it doesn’t work, tap on “Not Worked” and repeat steps 22 to 29.
31) Repeat the process for all the individual temperature buttons.
Temperature:
22) Change temperature to 18°C on the physical AC remote.
23) Long press 17°C on remote in Wozart app.
21) Let’s start learning the temperature. In this case it is 17°C.
24) A pop-up appears, tap “Learn”.

Adding a remote:
Creating a remote:
1) Tap “Add IR”on Wozart app.
2) Select the “Manufacturer”, “Model” and “Type” of appliance.
3) Give a name to the remote and save.
4) Start using the remote and control your appliance with voice or app.
1) Tap “Add IR”on Wozart app.
2) Type in “Manufacturer”, “Model” of the appliance.
3) Give a name to the remote and select the type of appliance and tap create.
4) Once the remote is created learn the remote and control your appliance with
voice or app.

5) You will see a pop-up with “Test” when the Universal IR recognise the
button press on physical remote.
6) Place the Universal IR in line of site with the appliance that you are learning
and tap “Test”.
7) Now the pop-up will show two options:
“Not Worked” and “Confirm”.
8) Check if the button triggers the correct function on the appliance
and tap “Confirm”.
9) If it doesn’t work, tap on “Not Worked” and repeat steps 1 to 8.
10) Repeat the same process untill all the buttons are learned.
Learning remote:
1) Tap on the remote on Wozart app.
2) Long press on the button that you want to learn on Wozart app.
3) A pop-up appears, tap “Learn”.
4) Point your physical remote at Universal IR and press the button
that you want to learn.

Troubleshooting
The device isn’t responding
a) Check if the Wi-Fi router is functioning properly.
b) Reconnect your smart controller device
eg: Phone to Wi-Fi network to which Wozart device is connected.
c) Switch off the main power supply of the room that has the device for 5 seconds
and then switch it back ON.
d) Do factory reset as explained below and reconnect the device.
Factory Reset
Insert a pin, Push and hold the button at the back for 10 seconds.
Note: If factory reset is done all your customization is lost. Do it only if required.

Warranty and Service
This Wozart device can be replaced in full for three years from date of purchase
in case of damage or malfunction due to manufacturing defects. This Warranty
does not cover cosmetic damage or damage from accident, neglect, misuse,
alteration or abnormal conditions of operation or handling. Wozart Technologies
or any of it licensors are not liable for any special, incidental, consequential or
indirect damages or losses arising from any cause.
Resellers are not authorized to extend any other warranty on Wozart’s behalf.
Service for all Wozart products will be provided for device life time. To obtain
service, contact nearest authorized reseller or Wozart Technologies Private
Limited.
