Raadx at a glance
Raadx is very simple to use. You can do everything with the thumbwheel:
1) Turn ON Raadx by momentarily pressing the thumbwheel in this way
2) Browse inside Raadx using the thumbwheel:
a. Right and Left click:
i. Press momentarily right/left the thumbwheel to scroll down/up one step
ii. Press continuously right/left the thumbwheel to scroll down/up fast
b. Press momentarily the thumb wheel to select a file or browsing inside directories

What can you do with Raadx?
Cool Stuff
With Raadx you can protect, share, and play file everywhere and easily. Raadx is you Mobile
Personal Device that allows you to store your files in Raadx securely by protecting it with a PIN
password. You can browse you file and decide to delete or copy any file from your Raadx to any
device that have either Bluetooth, Infrared or USB interfaces without having a Personal Computer
with you.

Raadx USB female connector Host allows you to plug any storage device of and browse into it in
order to transfer you photos, music and all the file you want directly on Bluetooth, Infrared devices
(i.e. cell-phones, PDA or GPS) or the local internal memory for secure storage.
Vice versa you can receive any file from devices having Bluetooth, Infrared and USB connectivity.
Also you can use Bluetooth or USB headset on Raadx in order to voice record or listen to any kind
of music.
PIN Password
Raadx protect securely your repository files. At power on the operating system will ask for a PIN
password that you can enter by simply scrolling and clicking on the numbers and characters on the
bottom part of the display. To insert the PIN please press a long click and follow the option menu.
Out of the factory the PIN is set to 0000, but you can change your PIN at anytime under Settings
menu as below:

USB Host Connectivity
Female USB connector is a USB 2.0 full speed host port that allows you to copy to or from any
USB storage device of 100mA maximum class.
To copy a file to or from the USB female port insert the USB storage device and wait few second
until you can see the USB icon appearing the top right side of he display. Then follow the procedure
below:

Secure USB Storage Connectivity
You can securely store your date by simply powering on Raadx and plugging the device in any
USB port in you computer. You need to insert your PIN password on Raadx in order to see the
content of you data on the computer.

Bluetooth Connectivity
You can connect wirelessly to other compatible devices with wireless Bluetooth technology.
Compatible devices may include mobile phones, computers, and enhancements such as headsets
and car kits. You can use Bluetooth connectivity to send images, video clips, music and sound
clips, and notes; connect wirelessly to your compatible PC (for example, to transfer files); connect
to a compatible printer to print images.
Since devices with Bluetooth wireless technology communicate using radio waves, your device and
the other device do not need to be in direct line-of-sight. The two devices only need to be within 10
meters (33 feet) of each other, but the connection may be subject to interference from obstructions
such as walls or from other electronic devices.

This device is compliant with Bluetooth Specification 1.2 supporting the following profiles: Basic
Printing Profile, Generic Access Profile, Serial Port Profile, Headset Profile, Generic Object
Exchange Profile, Object Push Profile, File Transfer Profile, Basic Imaging Profile.
To ensure interoperability between other devices supporting Bluetooth technology, check with the
manufacturers of such devices to determine their compatibility with the Bluetooth standard.
There may be restrictions on using Bluetooth technology in some locations. Check with your local
authorities.
Features using Bluetooth technology, or allowing such features to run in the background while
using other features, increase the demand on battery power and reduce the battery life.
To file transfer from Raadx to another device you need to have the Bluetooth enable. If you see
the Bluetooth icon in the top right side of the display than the Bluetooth is ON, otherwise to enable
Bluetooth you need to go under Connectivity menu and click on Enable Bluetooth.

To file transfer, please browse inside Raadx local or guest memory and long click on the file to
transfer. A menu’ option will ask you if you want to transfer over Bluetooth. By clicking on
Bluetooth option Raadx will start scanning for available Bluetooth device around.
Note: the device you want to connect to needs to have Bluetooth ON and set in discoverable mode.
Depending on the procedure a PIN will be asked and 0000 can be used as a default PIN for
exchange.
To file transfer to Raadx from another device you need to put Raadx in discoverable mode.
Raadx id by default in not discoverable mode, and you can’t put Raadx in discoverable mode for
more than 30 seconds. This is for your data security and for your battery life duration.
In order to put Raadx in discoverable mode you need to go under Connectivity menu and click on

Once Raadx is in discoverable mode you can receive file from other Bluetooth devices.
Note: You can’t copy some copyrighted objects.
To listen music with Bluetooth A2DP stereo headphone you need to pair the headphone first. In
order to pair the Bluetooth headphones with Raadx please go under connectivity menu as show
below:

Infrared Connectivity
With infrared, you can transfer data such as business cards and media files with a compatible
device.
Do not point the IR (infrared) beam at anyone's eye or allow it to interfere with other IR devices.
This device is a Class 1 laser product.
Send and receive data using infrared
1 Make sure that the infrared ports of the sending and receiving devices are pointing at each other,
and that there are no obstructions between the devices. The preferable distance between the two
devices is up to 1 meter (3 feet).
2 The user of the receiving device activates the infrared port. To activate the infrared port of your
device to receive data through infrared, press, and select Connectivity/Infrared/ON.

MP3 playback
You can listen music with your Raadx by adding MP3 files to the playlist. You can listen and add
MP3 files to the playlist only if you have a Bluetooth headphone paired with Raadx or if you plug a
USB headset on Raadx USB host port.
In order to add MP3 files to the playlist, please follow the following

to add selected files to the playlist, please select “Add to playlist” after a long clicking on one
of the selected MP3 files.
to add all MP3 files in the current Directory to the playlist, please select “Add DIR to playlist”
after a long clicking on any of the MP3 files.

You can also control the volume and mute from the headphone itself if commands are available.
Voice recording and playback with USB or Bluetooth headset
You can pair a Bluetooth headset or plug a USB headset to Raadx and you can record voice and
listening back with the same device.
Update Raadx’s software and applications
It will be possible to upgrade the software by downloading it from Xanto’s website

SWITCH ON SAFELY Do not switch the device on when wireless device use is prohibited or
when it may cause interference or danger.
ROAD SAFETY COMES FIRST Obey all local laws. Always keep your hands free to operate the
vehicle while driving. Your first consideration while driving should be road safety.
INTERFERENCE All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect
performance.
SWITCH OFF IN HOSPITALS Follow any restrictions. Switch the device off near medical
equipment.
SWITCH OFF IN AIRCRAFT Follow any restrictions. Wireless devices can cause interference in
aircraft.
SWITCH OFF WHEN REFUELING Do not use the device at a refueling point. Do not use near
fuel or chemicals.
SWITCH OFF NEAR BLASTING Follow any restrictions. Do not use the device where blasting
is in progress.
QUALIFIED SERVICE Only qualified personnel may install or repair this product.

CONNECTING TO OTHER DEVICES When connecting to any other device, read its user

This product uses a Lithium-Ion battery. Do not use it in a humid, wet and/or corrosive
environment. Do not put, store or leave your product in or near a heat source, in a high temperature
location, in strong direct sunlight, in a microwave oven or in a pressurized container, and do not
expose it to temperatures over 60 C (140 F). Failure to follow these guidelines may cause the
Lithium-Ion battery to leak acid, become hot, explode or ignite and cause injury and/or damage. Do
not pierce, open or disassemble the battery. If the battery leaks and you come into contact with the

leaked fluids, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention immediately. For safety
reasons, and to prolong the lifetime of the battery, charging will not occur at low (below 0 C/32 F)
or high (over 45 C/113 F) temperatures.
Temperatures: Standard operation: -10 C (14 F) to +55 C (131 F); short period storage: -20 C (-4 F)
to + 60 C (140 F); long period storage: -20 C (-4 F) to +25 C (77 F).
