remote lets you control your TV and Xbox 360 DVD and CD
playback, Windows Media Centre-based technology, and the

Improper use of batteries may result in battery uid leakage, overheating or
explosion. Released battery uid is corrosive and may be toxic. It can cause skin and
eye burns, and is harmful if swallowed. To reduce the risk of injury:
• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Do not heat, open, puncture, mutilate, or dispose of batteries in re.
• Do not mix new and old batteries or batteries of different types (for example,
carbon-zinc and alkaline batteries).
• Remove batteries if they are worn out or before putting away for an extended
period of time.
• If a battery leaks, remove all batteries, taking care to keep the leaked uid from
touching your skin or clothes. If uid from the battery comes in contact with skin
or clothes, immediately wash the skin with water. Before inserting new batteries,
thoroughly clean the battery compartment with a damp paper towel, or follow the
battery manufacturer’s cleaning recommendations.
• Dispose of old, depleted, or leaking batteries in accordance with the battery
manufacturer’s instructions and local and national disposal regulations.
Insert batteries in accordance with the following instructions.


To insert batteries into the remote control:
1 Remove the remote battery cover.
2 Insert two new AA (LR6) batteries as shown on the underside of the remote battery
cover. For best performance, AA rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
3 Replace the remote battery cover.

Before your remote can work with your TV, you need to programme it for use with your
particular brand of TV. There are two ways of programming your remote: manually
entering your TV code or scanning to nd your TV code.
The code list at the end of this manual covers many popular TVs. For the latest list of TV
library codes, go to www.xbox.com/support.
Note
After 30 seconds of inactivity, the remote will exit the screen. Pressing any button other
than 0–9 or CH/PG returns the remote to its original settings.
To enter a TV code:
1 Turn on your TV and point the remote towards it.
2 Press and hold the TV and OK buttons simultaneously for two seconds. All of the
buttons on the media remote will then light up for two seconds, after which only the
numeric TV buttons (1–12) will stay on.
3 Enter the code for your TV.
4 Press the TV button again to save the code and exit. All of the buttons on the remote
will blink three times to conrm your selection.
To scan for a TV code:
1 Turn on your TV and point the remote towards it.
2 Press and hold the TV and OK buttons simultaneously for two seconds. All of the
buttons on the remote will then light for two seconds, after which only the numeric
TV buttons (1–12) will remain lit.
3 Press the CH/PG button to send a series of off commands to your TV. Repeat until the
TV turns off.
Note
Give your TV enough time to respond to the off command after each button press.
Some TVs take more time to react to off commands than others.
4 Press the TV button to save the code and exit. All buttons on the remote will blink
three times to conrm the code.
Note
If, after setting the TV code, you nd that the remote is not functional or has incomplete
or inaccurate functionality, try a different code for your TV manufacturer or scan for
another code. To scan for another code after the TV turns off in step 3, turn on the TV
then continue to press CH/PG for other codes prior to proceeding to step 4.
The Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote works only with TVs and the Xbox 360 console. It
does not control VCRs, DVRs, DVD players, or audio equipment.

Your remote operates like any TV remote. It also includes controls for your Xbox 360
console and a button that gives you immediate access to a connected PC with
Windows Media Centre-based technology.

Your remote is equipped with the Xbox Guide button and the A, B, X and Y buttons. You
can use these, along with the OK button, to move around and control the Xbox Guide and
the Xbox Dashboard on your Xbox 360 console, just as you would with your controller.

The Windows Media Centre Start button lets you access a Windows Media Centre-based PC
through your Xbox 360 console. If you are set up to use Windows Media Centre on your
Xbox 360 console, pressing the button will take you to the Media area of the Xbox Dashboard.
If you are not yet set up to use Windows Media Centre on your console, pressing the
button will start the Windows Media Centre set-up wizard.
The Windows Media Centre button will also turn on the console if it is off.

Clean only with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Using cleaning solutions or attempting to
clean connectors may damage your remote.

If you encounter problems, try the possible solutions indicated below.

Some DVDs may not support all of the Xbox 360 DVD playback features, such as
subtitles, multilingual audio tracks, multiple viewing angles and slow-motion play. For
more information on supported features, see the DVD producer’s documentation. In rare
instances, certain DVDs may not operate properly. This is primarily due to variations in
the manufacturing process or the software encoding of the DVD video software.

Make sure your AV cable is properly connected. For setup and AV troubleshooting
information, see the Xbox 360 Setup manual or your AV cable instructions.

Make sure the batteries are still fresh by testing the remote with new batteries. Try removing
the batteries from the remote, pressing all buttons twice, and then replacing the batteries.
If individual buttons don’t work, follow the instructions for cleaning your remote.

• Make sure that your remote is fully charged.
• Point the remote directly at the console.
• Check for interference from other devices that transmit or receive radio signals.
• Make sure that you’re using the remote within 30 feet of the console.
• Close drapes and blinds during daylight hours to minimise ambient infrared.


如何將電池放入控制器：
1. 將媒體遙控器的電池外殼打開。

배터리 안전성

유니버설 미디어 리모컨 설정
배터리 삽입
리모컨에 배터리를 삽입하려면 다음을 수행합니다.

Xbox 360 유니버설 미디어 리모컨은 오직 TV와 Xbox 360 본체에만 사용할 수 있습니다.

유니버설 미디어 리모컨 사용
본 리모컨의 작동 방법은 TV 리모컨과 같습니다. 또한 Xbox 360 본체를 제어할 수 있으며

컨트롤러 단추
리모컨에는 Xbox 가이드 단추와 A, B, X 및 Y 단추가 있는데, 이 단추들을 OK 단추와 함께
사용하여 컨트롤러를 사용하는 것처럼 Xbox 360 본체의 Xbox 가이드 및 Xbox 대시보드를
작동할 수 있습니다.
시작 단추
Windows Media Center 시작 단추를 사용하면 Xbox 360 본체를 통해 Windows Media
Center 기반의 PC에 액세스할 수 있습니다. Xbox 360 본체에서 Windows Media Center를
사용할 수 있도록 설정한 경우 Windows Media Center 시작 단추를 누르면 Xbox 대시보드의
미디어 영역으로 이동할 수 있습니다. 아직 본체에서 Windows Media Center를 사용할 수
있도록 설정하지 않은 경우 이 단추를 누르면 Windows Media Center 설치 마법사가
시작됩니다.

있습니다.
리모컨 청소
마른 천이나 약간 물기 있는 천으로만 닦습니다. 세정액을 사용하거나 커넥터를 닦으면
리모컨이 손상될 수도 있습니다.

일부 DVD는 자막, 다국어 오디오 트랙, 다양한 카메라 각도, 느린 동작 재생 등 Xbox 360의
