This x2 Geo unit can be dangerous. Read and follow all safety and operating instructions before using
the x2 Geo, and ensure that basic safety precautions are always followed during operation of the x2 Geo.

is a sophisticated product. It must be operated with caution and common sense and requires some basic
mechanical ability. Failure to operate this product in a safe and responsible manner could result in injury or

provided by xCraft Enterprises. This Operating and Maintenance Manual contains instructions for safety,
operation and maintenance. It is essential to read and follow all of the instructions and warnings in the x2 Geo
user manual, prior to assembly, setup or use, in order to operate the product correctly and avoid damage or
serious injury. If situations occur that are not specically covered in this Operating and Maintenance Manual
(this “Manual”), use care and good judgement.
Operators of the x2 Geo agree to operate the x2 Geo safely, responsibly and only for authorized and lawful
purposes. Operators of the x2 Geo are solely responsible for complying with, and by using this x2 Geo unit
each operator represents that it has read and agrees to comply with:

1. x2 Geo
The x2 Geo is a powerful, multi-rotor machine. This hybrid VTOL craft combines the
precision of a quadcopter with the speed and endurance of a xed wing aircraft. Denition

STEP 1: ASSEMBLY
Assemble your x2 Geo (see parts list)
q Open your x2 Geo case on a at level surface.
wRemove pylon, kickstand and x2 Geo vehicle from case to begin assembly.
eAttach pylon to x2 Geo with bolts and washer.
rAttach kickstand with screw and nut.

CONNECTING THE RFD 900+ TELEMETRY
STEP 2: Connect RFD 900+ Long Range Telemetry
(If not already installed you can download the QGroundControl program online at www.
qgroundcontrol.com/downloads). It is a free open-source program. As of the writing of this
manual version 3.1.3 is recommended.
qPlug in RFD 900+ long range telemetry sensor into computer using the included
USB cable.
wIn QGroundControl Program:
i. Click in upper left.
ii. Click to connect to RFD 900+ long range telemetry.
iii. Click “add” at the bottom.
iv. Under serial link settings – select serial port for vehicle.
v. Set baud rate to 57600.
STEP 3: Calibrate Vehicle. See next page.

necessary or after updating rmware.

Click the and set VTOL takeo and transition. Set altitude to desired transition
altitude.
wClick on the left, draw survey area, set desired altitude and change grid
angle and grid spacing as needed. Turnaround distance minimum should be 60m.

Flying the Autonomous Mission
qPlace the vehicle on a at and stable surface ensuring no overhead obstructions above
or within 20 meters around vehicle.
w Insure vehicle has a 3D GPS x (see diagram 08 for status indications).
eDeactivate safety by pressing and holding the safety switch until the safety switch
turns solid red.
r
Arm the vehicle by moving the transmitter’s left stick all the way down and to
the right. Hold until motors begin to spin.
tBegin mission by ipping the mode switch down to the mission position.
yThe vehicle will perform the mission most recently uploaded. Watch the vehicle’s ight
path carefully ensuring that it performs the mission properly. Also ensure that
the vehicle lands on a clear at and stable surface. Be ready to assume manual
control by switching mode switch to stabilize or hold in the event the above conditions
are not met.
uAfter the vehicle sucessfully lands the motors will disarm after 2 seconds.
iApproach vehicle. Press and hold safety switch until light turns to a ashing red to
activate safety. It is now safe to retrieve vehicle.
IMPORTANT!
Switching ight mode at any time will pause current mission and return to the selected mode.
