IntrusionTrace Quick Start Guide
1 Introduction
The ADPRO®FastTrace 2/2IntrusionTrace™ application is designed to provide full
outdoor perimeter detection analytics. It provides reliable and predictable detection of
intrusion into secure outdoor areas. The system analyses images from strategically-placed
cameras to detect “human-like‟movement, and if the movement fulfills a number of criteria,
alarms are generated. These alarms are handled by the FastTrace 2/2video system and
can be transmitted to a remote central monitoring station assessed and managed by
experienced security personnel.
A well designed, installed and maintained IntrusionTrace application can remove the need
for onsite guards or patrols, or provide assistance to local monitoring, thus, improving the
effectiveness of the overall site security.
2 Scope
This quick setup guide describes in direct steps how to install the IntrusionTrace Video
Perimeter Detection solution on an existing FastTrace 2 or 2system.
This guide is intended for users who are familiar with the key concepts of FastTrace 2/2
and the Xtralis application license portal. For detailed information on FastTrace 2/2, please
refer to the “Technical Installation Manual”. For more information on the concept of Xtralis
application license web portal and how to use it, please refer to “Xtralis Application License
guide” document.
Both of these documents can be found and downloaded through www.xtralissecurity.com.
Please note that the installation steps can be done locally on site or remotely. Make sure that
the appropriate connection to the internet and FastTrace 2/2unit are available.
3 Prerequisites
In order to install IntrusionTrace, the following prerequisites must be met:
A FastTrace 2 or 2device to install IntrusionTrace on. Note that FastTrace 2 supports
a maximum of 4 analytics channels and FastTrace 2X supports up to 16 analytics
channels. The FastTrace 2/2device needs to have at least a firmware version v2.6 or
higher.
Account on the Xtralis Application License Portal: license.xtralissecurity.com

license portal on the FastTrace 2/2device(s). This tool can be downloaded from the
License Portal web page, it is also found on the CD that comes with your FastTrace
2/2unit.
