As soon as limescale deposits have built up, iron particles imbed into it. Thus, the
limescale and the rust blend into one material that are seen as red-colored
deposits in the pipe. When the YARNA treatment dismantles the scale, it
simultaneously reduces also rust with it.
Clearing out the deposits is a gentle process where limescale is brought back into
solution and washed out in the water as: calcium, magnesium and iron. It is
absolutely save to drink as these are all healthy minerals.
The reduction of scale = the reduction of bacteria
We know that limescale acts as a breeding ground for bacteria and other unwanted
substances. As soon as YARNA is installed and the scale is reduced, the bacteria

You need a minimum of 10” (25cm) of exposed pipe.
For optimal water treatment, YARNA is best installed near the water meter or at the main
water supply. Make sure you have access to a power outlet. Our power adapter has 5ft
(1.5m) of cable.
Different installation positions are possible. You can install the main unit vertically,
horizontally or at any other angle. Please observe different placement examples, shown in
the images to the right. Leave a minimum safe distance of at least ½" (1 cm) between the
two impulse bands.
The main unit can be installed on the wall or directly to the pipe. To secure it to the wall
use the screws and anchors provided in the box. To mount it on the pipe run the zip ties
through the top and bottom holes of each side of the main unit. The position of the main
unit relative to the pipe is not important. You may also install the unit over the impulse
bands.
Each impulse band has a total length of 59“ (150cm). For limited pipe space you need to
wind at least 9 turns for each band for the product to be effective. For unlimited pipe space
it is recommended to wrap as much of the impulse bands as possible.
In case of limited space, the windings can be placed partly on the main pipe and partly on
the distributor pipe. All these different installations are possible because the treatment
impulses extend over several meters to either side of the pipes.
The unit is effective up to 1.2 miles from the installation point along with your pipe system.
Depending on ambient temperatures this effect can last up to 7 days after water exits your
pipe system. Minerals remain in the water as ions. This prevents the lime-scale to stick to
your skin or solid surfaces.
Secure the main unit either to the wall by
using the screws inside or directly onto the
pipe using the plastic zip ties.
2Use a zip tie to secure the impulse band to
the pipe.
Wind the impulse band around the pipe producing a coil. Make
sure you wind the band tightly to the pipe and place the windings
close to each other. Latch the end of the impulse band to the pipe
using another zip tie. Now repeat steps 2 and 3 with the second
impulse band.

Time to power up the unit. First plug the power adaptor to the main unit,
and then connect the power supply to an electrical outlet. The power
adapter has a LED light that must be visible. The main unit has two white
diagnostic lights that will come on, showing that both impulse bands
are operating normally. Your YARNA water softener works from now on
maintenance-free.

Yarna CWD48 is a physical water treatment system. It treats the water with electric impulses which are generated
in the electronic unit and are controlled by a computerized micro-chip. The signal-frequencies are transmitted
via the impulse coils that are wrapped around the pipe. The bands interact as pairs and form a frequency-field
that changes the crystals in the water as it flows by. Thus, the limescale particles lose their adhesive power.

WHY DESCALING IS BETTER THAN SOFTENING:
Yarna does NOT eliminate wanted minerals like Calcium and Magnesium. Minerals are good and a necessary part of
our diet. Yarna does NOT use salt or waste any water. Water descaling is a process used to reduce the negative effects
of hard water. It prevents the minerals from forming scale deposits, which is the main disadvantage of hard water.
Your YARNA water softener WILL NOT make your water potable.
Your YARNA water softener is suitable for all pipe materials: iron, copper, plastic, stainless steel, PVC, compound
pipes, PE-X, etc.

WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?
YARNA warrants the water softener product and
accessories contained in the original packaging against
defects in materials and workmanship when used
normally in accordance with this user manual guidelines.
The standard warranty is valid for a period of ONE (1)
YEAR from the date of original retail purchase by the
end-user purchaser ("Warranty Period"). YARNA’s
guidelines include but are not limited to information
contained in technical specifications, user manuals and
service communications.

The manufacturer does not undertake to repair or
replace the unit where there is evidence that damage or
failure of the unit has been caused by improper
installation or operation, or if there is evidence of
tempering with the unit in any way. In addition, the
warranty does not extend to include damage from
external causes or natural disasters. Also the warranty is
limited to the product and does not apply to parts of the
water system (pipes, faucets) or appliances.
The YARNA softener has no serviceable parts. In case of
valid warranty claim, YARNA will proceed to REPLACING
the damaged unit. In such an event, the customer will
always receive a new product, and NOT a
reconditioned/refurbished one.
