Identify the home end of the Y Bench
(Figure1,page2)bylookingfortheHomeIcon.

Elevate the home end of the Y Bench.

IdentifythehomefaceoftheX Beam Lower
(Figure6,page2)bylookingfortheHomeIcon.

SlidetheX Beam LowerontotheYBenchsuch
thatbothHomeIconsfacethe sameway,as
shown.

UnfoldaLegSet(Figure3,page2).LifttheY
Bench toaccept the location pins ofthe Leg Set .

SlidethelegclamppinsintotheslotsintheY
Bench endplate.

PushtheclamphandlesdownflattotheYBench
end plate to tighten.

AtthisstageyourSmartBenchshouldlook
something likethis.

Lifttheremainingendandrepeattheprocess.

The Y Bench and X Beam Lowerassemblyshould
look likethis.

Fit the X Beam Upper

IdentifyontheHomeIconontheinsiderailofthe
X Beam Upper ( Figure5 ,page2).Positionitabove
theX Beam Lower,sothatall3HomeIconsare
visible from the same side.

The X Beam Upper can now bemounted ontothe
X Beam Lower .Again,ensureall3HomeIconsare
visible fromthe sameside.

Slide the X Beam Upper down until the rollers rest
on the Y Bench

Thequickreleasehandlecannowberotated
clockwiseandthepushedflattosecure

Locate the socket on the X Beam Lower

Connectthe X Beam Upper cable intothe X Beam
Lower socket

Attach the ZHead

SlidetheZHead(Figure1,page2)ontotheX Fit
Beam Upper ensuring the orientation as shown.

carriage plate as shown.

Secureinplaceusingthethumbscrew.Ensurethe Con
cableistuckedintotherecessontheplate.

the thumbscrew.
Repeat forthe power cable connector. Co
nnect the extraction hose tothe Z Head . The
arrowdenotestolocationofthelug.

Fit theConsole

Placethe Console intothelocating slotsinthe
EStopendoftheXBeamUpper.

Plugthe Console cableintothe connectoron
theright-handsideoftheX Beam Upper.
Fit the powercable

Themains power cable connectstothesocketon
theundersideoftheX Beam Lower.

Hookthemains power cableoverthestrain
relievingbrackettoensure itdoesn’t unplug
during operation.

Fit theextractor
SmartBenchhasadedicatedpoweroutletforextractors,toenableauto-extraction,but
theextractormustnotdrawmorethan10amps.Iftheextractordrawsmorethan10
amps,theextractormustbepoweredfromaseparatepoweroutletandoperated
manually.

Attachtheextractionhosetotheundersideofthe
X Beam Lower

Either:pluginyourextractortoaseparatepower
outlet…

Or: ifthe extractor does not exceed the power
rating,plug inyourextractortoSmartBench’s
extractor poweroutlet

Check that all cables are connected correctly:
1. Z HeadSignal
2. Z HeadPower
3. X Beam
4. Extraction power (if usingthe auto-extraction system)
5. Console
