B. Introducon
The YoLink Wireless Communicaon Base, works with a detector head (ANKA Smoke & CO Alarm,
model: AJ-939/AJ-933/AJ-938). Used in conjuncon with the Smoke & CO Alarm, it converts the
Smoke & CO Alarm into a smart alarm device. Add the Wireless Communicaon Base to the YoLink
app, you can monitor the real-me status of smoke and carbon monoxide in the detecon area, and
you can check the historical alarm record (including type, date and me) via the app. When smoke
or carbon monoxide is detected, it may be used as a trigger for custom automaons (for example,
turn off a gas valve when carbon monoxide is detected), as well as to iniate smartphone alerts and
noficaons based on your preferences.

your Hub to your home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
network (only when necessary).

1. You will need to press the SET buon once again if the device failed to connect to the cloud
2. Pressing the SET buon at any other me aer this inial process will result in the LED blinking
red once, only. This indicates the device is connected to the cloud and is funconing normally
3. If the red LED does NOT blink as noted this may indicate a problem with the relay. Please see the
troubleshoong secon and the contact secon for technical support

1. Please refer to the installaon manual packaged with the detector head (ANKA Smoke & CO Alarm,
AJ-939) to complete the installaon of your Smoke & CO Alarm
2. Press down the ACTIVATE buon on the boom of Detector Head unl the buon be locked to
acvate the detector head first before you connect the detector head to the wireless communicaon
base

Aer changing “Self-Checking ” sengs, press the device’s SET buon once, to sync the new sengs
to the device. Otherwise, the device will automacally update within 4 hours (maximum)

Wireless Communicaon Base can be set as a trigger only, with three trigger opons: Smoke Alarm; CO
Alarm; Extremely High Temperature Alarm

Assistant, and is also integrated with IFTTT.com (works as a trigger
device using IFTTT)

F. About YoLink Control (With Detector Head)
YoLink Control is our unique device-to-device control technology. Using YoLink Control, YoLink
devices can be controlled without the Hub or an internet connecon. (Use of YoLink Control is
oponal; you can use the Automaon feature in the app OR use YoLink Control, but YoLink
Control offers the benefit of operaon without the Hub or internet connecon.)
One device controls another, directly. A device that sends out commands is called the controller. A
device that receives the commands is called the responder. Examples of a controller are a Door
Sensor or Wireless Communicaon Base, while examples of a responder are another Gas/Water
Valve Controller or a Siren Alarm
The YoLink Wireless Communicaon Base can only work as the controller in YoLink Control
