I. manual of safe rules
1. The regulation of correct used
（1）It is forbidd n to us th tow r cran which has not pass th p rformanc t st;
（2）According to th t chniqu r gulation and m thod of us , th cran must b us d
in its good condition. Pay mor att ntion to th saf ty to pr v nt th dang rous!
Eliminat all kinds of malfunctions in tim which may caus th saf ty accid nt;
（3）Op rat th tow r cran in sp cifi d scop of t mp ratur : (-20℃--+40 )℃;
（4）Op rat th cran in sp cifi d limit of wind sp d (th max. wind sp d for op rating is
20m/s, th max. wind sp d out of s rvic is 50m/s);
（5）Obs rv th r gulation in op ration manual and r gulation r lat d to s rvic and
maint nanc .
2. Safety measures
（1）Th op rator should r ad th op ration rul s b for op rating th tow r cran ；
（2）Th op rator should always r m mb r v ry saf ty m asur and r cogniz th
hazard, m anwhil , th op ration rul s should b visibl ；
（3）It’s forbidd n for th op rator to b with long hair, w aring rob or w aring
j w lry;
（4）Oft n r ad th warning board about saf ty and pr v nting from hazard;
（5）If th cran is in abnormal condition, stop op ration imm diat ly and r port it to
th int r st d p rson;
（6）It is forbidd n to chang or add any parts of th cran , unl ss th tow r cran
manufactur r p rmitt d;
（7）S rvic , lubricat and d bug th cran according to th cycl sp cifi d in
op ration manual;
（8）Th cran op rator should know th position of fir proofing quipm nt, and
grasp th m thod of using it.

3. Personnel selecting and their qualifications
（1）Th tow r cran musts b op rat d by qualifi d p rson;
（2）Th cran op rator must b train d. Th r must b a sp cific r gulation about
th ability of driv r, r ctor, maint nanc and s rvic p rson;
（3）Cran op rators should clarify th ir r sponsibility, and mak th m know that
th y should r fus all th ord r which act against th saf ty；
（4）Th xp ri nc d p rsonn l must sup rvis at jib sit wh n th tow r cran is
op rat d by train s or l arn rs.
（5）Th installing, d bug and maint nanc of l ctric quipm nt must b op rat d
by comp t nt l ctrician.
（6）Th d bug and maint nanc for ach m chanism must b op rat d by
prof ssional;
（7）Th installing, d bug and maint nanc of hydraulic d vic must b op rat d by
xp ri nc d prof ssional.
. The safety rules during working stage
（1）Ev ry tim b for starting up:
a). Giv audi nc to th ord r of job sit sup rvisor;
b). Switch on；
c). R mov cushion block, loos n th rail clamping d vic and oth r fixing
d vic (wind sp d ≤ 13m/s);
d). Ch ck that is th r any obstacl on th track;
). Canc l th jib w ath r van condition；
f). Ch ck that ar all th prot ctiv d vic and saf ty d vic in normal
condition.

b). T st th motion of ach m chanism with no load and low sp d, m anwhil ,

c). It is forbidd n to us any op rating mod which can thr at n th tow r
cran saf ty;
d). B for trav ling, driv th jib to th c nt r lin of th track;
). It is forbidd n to pass load ov r th p rson wh n th cran is in s rvic ;
f). It r quir s som on to guid , wh n th load is out of th sight of th driv r;
g). It is forbidd n to sling ov rw ight load out of th sp cifi d radius;
h). It is forbidd n to sling h avy load wh n th load has not b n hang firmly;
i). It is forbidd n to canting pull th load;
j). It is forbidd n to sling th load which has fix d to th ground;
k). It is forbidd n to stop normal motion by m rg ncy stop button; it only can
b us d in xc ptional cas which may thr at n th saf ty;
l). It is forbidd n to us limit r and brak as an normal stop d vic ;
m). It is forbidd n to short-circuit, chang and adjust th saf ty d vic , or
obstruct its normal op ration;
n). Wh n th max. wind sp d is l ss than 20m/s, windward surfac of th load
should b low r than 1m

20m/s;
o). Mak sur that th r is no obstacl nt rs into jib sl wing ar a aft r th
tow r cran trav ling;
p). If th cran op ration is in bad condition, stop imm diat ly and s nt
som body to r pair;
q). Mak sur that th r is nough distanc b tw n th tow r cran and air
l ctric wir ;

（3）Aft r on day’s work:
a). Lift th hook b low th limit point, m anwhil , it is forbidd n to l av any
load on th hook;
b). Driv th troll y clos to th mast;
c). Starting th w ath r van ;
d). Grip th clamp rail on th track;
). Cut off th pow r supply and lock d.
5. Maintenance and fault clearance during the tower crane operation
（1） D bug, maint nanc and ch ck-up ach part of th cran according to th
m thod and cycl sp cifi d in op ration manual; and r plac som parts and
d vic s according to th r gulation;
（2） If it n ds to s rvic and maint nanc th tow r cran with pow r outag , adopt
n c ssary m asur s to pr v nt fals starting of th cran . First, lock th pow r
supply pan l, and tak off th k y. S cond, hang warning plat on th pan l;
（3） If it n ds to dismantl som saf ty d vic s during s rvic and maint nanc ,
aft r this, it should b ass mbl d and r adjust d.
6. Instruction for special dangerous
（1） Wh n op rating tow r cran n ar th air lin , th r should b nough distanc
b tw n th tow r cran and air lin .
a). Onc th tow r cran conn ct d with th air lin , th driv should stay in th
cab, to pr v nt from g tting an l ctric shock;
b). Driv th cran out of dang rous zon at onc ;
c). Notify th p rson around don’t clos to th cran ;
d). Cut off th pow r supply which conn ct d with th air lin ;
). Don’t l av th tow r cran unl ss you can confirm that th l ctric wir has
b n cut off

（2）Maint nanc of th l ctrical quipm nt only can b carri d out by qualifi d
l ctrician or train which is sup rvis d by a qualifi d l ctrician according to
th l ctrical rul s.
a).. Th tow r cran must b cut off th l ctricity during maint nanc and r pair,
m anwhil , s t up a warning plat of “mann d op ration, prohibit switch on”
on th obvious position of pow r supply pan l, th n arth or short circuit th
pow r lin (aft r this, do pl as dismantl th arthing and short circuit lin );
b). Th l ctrical quipm nt of tow r cran should b ch ck d p riodically. If
discov r som hidd n dang r, such as conn ction loos n, l ctrical wir
arthing, compon nt br akag , tc, it must b liminat d in tim ;
c). If it must carry out liv -wir work, th r should b som on to monitor, so that
th main pow r supply can b cut off in m rg ncy situation.
7. Hydraulic system
a). Only th prof ssional or xp ri nc d p rson can op rat th hydraulic
syst m；
b). P riodic ch ck v ry kind of conduct pip , fl xibl pip and joint, so that
ch ck up th oil l ak and xt rnal malfunction, if so, liminat that
imm diat (oil l ak may caus damag and fir );
c). R l as th compon nt pr ssur according to th r l vant r gulations b for
r pairing.
d). Install th hydraulic pip lin corr ctly. Do not conn ct th high and low
pr ssur int rfac s in r v rs . M anwhil , th joint l ngth and quality of th
fl xibl pip should m t th r quir m nt;
). Hold th oil quantity and quality in th oil box. Ch ck th hydraulic oil
quality p riodically, if th oil has alr ady d t riorat d, it must b r plac d at
onc which can nsur th pump station work normally.
