Lucy Planter Bench Assembly Instructions
Requires 2 person assembly.
Tools required: Corded / Cordless Drill, Pozi-drive Bit / Screwdriver, Adjustable
Spanner, 3mm Drill Bit required in order for you to drill all screw holes before
construction.

Spanner, 3mm Drill Bit required in order for you to drill all screw holes before
construction.
Lucy Planter Bench is now complete.
1. Interlock 4no Planter Side AssembliesA, with bolt holes uppermost, ensuring
assemblies are aligned and square. (See Figs. 1a & 1b)
2. Position 2no Feet B (counter-bore uppermost) onto opposing Side AssembliesA
ensuring bolt holes are aligned. (See Fig. 2)
3. Locate washer and Stud Connector Nut onto threaded bar (2 full turns). Repeat
for remaining 3no threaded bars. (See Figs. 3a & 3b)
Place threaded bar into hole in Foot B and tap fully through. (See Figs. 3c & 3d)
Repeat in each corner for remaining 3no threaded bars.
Invert assembly and place washer and Cap Nut onto threaded bars and fully
tighten. (See Figs. 3e & 3f)
4. Place 1no Seat Packer C onto each lower protruding rail (chamfered end) of
Planter Side AssembliesA, as shown in Fig. 4.
5. Position 2no Seat Surround Rails D (as shown in Fig. 5a) and attach using 2no
screws. Repeat procedure (ensuring same alignment of rails) at each corner (See
Fig. 5b)
Position seat surround assembly over planter assembly and fix into upper
protruding rails (square ended) using 8no screws (2no per rail). (See Fig. 5c)
6. Place 1no Seat Board E to inner edge of planter assembly, ensuring one end is
flush with corner of planter assembly and uppermost protruding rail, and other
end is flush with outer edge of the seat surround assembly. Fix using 6no screws
(See Figs. 6a, 6b & 6c). Similarly fix 3no Seat Boards E to remaining inner edges.
7. Place 1no Seat Board E flush to outer edge of seat surround assembly and
butted up to fixed seat board (See Fig. 7a). Fix using 7no screws (See Figs. 7b &
7c). Repeat procedure for 3no further Seat Boards E to remaining outer edges.
8. Equally space remaining Seat Boards E between fixed seat boards and attach
using 48no screws (6no per board). (See Figs. 8a, 8b, & 8c)
9. Place 4no Planter Base Boards F into centre of planter assembly and fix into Feet
B using 16no screws (4no per board, 2no per end). (See Figs. 9a & 9b)
