1.1TheDistance,Facial Expression andStandPose
1)Therecommendeddistance:
Therecommendeddistancebetweenpersonand
device is 0.5m (applied to height range
1.5~1.85m).Accordingtotheobtainedfaceimage
from device to adjust, when the face image is
comparatively bright, please move backwards
appropriately; when the face image is
comparatively dark, please move forwards
appropriately.
Note:Duringtheenrollmentandverification,pleaseremainthenormal
facialexpressionandstandpose.

Duringtheenrollment,displaythefaceinthecentreofscreenaspossible.According
tothedevice’svoiceprompts,dosomesmallscopeheadactionssuchasturnleft,
turnright,rise,bowandsoontoensurethatthedifferentpartsoffaceareinputted
into system to improve the verification accuration. The enrollment poses are as

and little finger are not recommended (because they are usually clumsy on the
fingerprintcollectionscreen).

④ Facial/FingerprintImage:Ifafacialimageisdisplayed,theterminaliscurrently
in the facial recognition mode; if a fingerprint image is displayed, the terminal is
currently in the fingerprint recognition mode. You can change current recognition
mode of the terminal through ⑤ Facial/Fingerprint Switch Key and Keyboard
ShortcutKeys.
⑤ Facial/Fingerprint Switch Key: By pressing the “AB” key, you can switch
betweenthefacialandfingerprintrecognitionmodes.

Inthisfingerprint verificationmode,thedevice compares currentfingerprint
collectedbythefingerprintsensorwithallfingerprintdataonthedevice.
Placetheenrolledfinger
properly on the
fingerprintsensor.
Wait a second before
removingthefingerfrom
thefingerprintsensor.
The terminal verifies
user,displaystheIDand
prompts“Verified”.
If verification failed, the
terminalprompts“Please
try again”.

In the 1:1 fingerprint verification mode, the device compares current
fingerprintcollectedthroughthefingerprintsensorwiththatinrelationtothe
userIDenteredthrough the keyboard.Adopt thismodeonlywhenitisdifficult
torecognizethefingerprint.
Placetheenrolledfinger

Only the products with a builtin ID card module support the ID card
verification.TheproductswithabuiltinIDcardmodulesupportthefollowing
threeverificationmodes:
IDCardOnly:UsersonlyneedtoswipetheirIDcardsforverification.
ID+FacialorfingerprintVerification:AfterpassingtheIDcardverification,
youalsoneedtoperformfacialverificationorfingerprintverification.
For the settings of these two verification modes, see 5.5 Attendance
Parameters.

2MainMenu
There are two types of rights respectively granted to two types of users: the
ordinary usersand administrators.Ordinaryusersareonlygrantedtherights of
facial,fingerprint,passwordorcardverification,whileadministratorsaregranted
the access to the main menu for various operations apart from having all the
privilegesgrantedtoordinaryusers.
Press MENU once
Anyusercanaccessthemainmenubypressingthe[Menu]
key if the system is free from administrators. After
administrators are configured on the terminal, the terminal
needs to verify the administrators’ identity before granting
themaccesstothemainmenu.Toensureterminalsecurity,it
is recommended to set an administrator when using the
terminalinitially.Fordetailedoperations,see3.

AddUser:Enrollemployee’sfingerprint,passwordorfacialinthedevice.
User Mgt.: Through this submenu, you can browse the user information
stored on the terminal, including the user ID, name, fingerprint, facial, card,
password,rightsandgroupNo.;add,modifyordeletetheuserinformation.
Comm.: Through this submenu, you can set related parameters for
communicationbetweentheterminalandPC,includingtheIPaddress,gateway,
subnetmask,baudrate,equipmentNo.andcommunicationpassword.
System: Through this submenu, you can set systemrelated parameters,
including the basic parameters, interface parameters, fingerprint, facial and
attendanceparameters,toenabletheterminaltomeetuserrequirementstothe
greatestextentintermsoffunctionsanddisplay.
Data Mgt.: Through this submenu, you can perform management of data
storedontheterminal,forexample,deletingtheattendancerecord,alldataand
promotional pictures, purging management rights and resetting the terminal to
factorydefaults.
Date/Time: The date and time of the terminal must be set accurately to
ensuretheaccuracyofattendancetime.Throughthissubmenu,youcansetthe
date,timeandbell.
AutoTest:Thissubmenuenables the systemto automaticallytest whether
functions of various modules are normal, including the screen, collector, voice,
facial,keyboardandclocktests.
Dn/Upload: Throughthissubmenu,youcanimportuserinformationand
attendancedatastoredinaUSBdisktorelatedsoftwareorotherfingerprint
recognitionequipment.
Sysinfo:Youcancheckthestoragestatusaswellasversioninformationof
the terminalthroughthe[SystemInformation]option.
