A. InstallationProcedureforWin98 /98se
1.Do NOT plug inthe U-Pod.
2.InsertCDdriverdiscandrun “X:\U-Pod\application\Setup.exe”.(Letter “X”
referstotheCDROM drivelocation.)
3.Plug in U-Pod intothecomputerUSBportandWindowswill installthedriver
automatically.
4.Afterwards,in “MYCOMPUTER”youwill findnewicon(s) “REMOVABLE
DISK”.Thisisthelocationof U-Pod.
5.Now,youareabletoaccess all featuresthatprovidedby U-Pod.
** Pleasealsoread “UTILITIES”inthisinstallationquickreference.
B. InstallationProcedureforWinMe/Win2000 /WinXP
Thereis U-Pod driversupportinWinMe/Win2000/WinXP.Afteryouplug in
U-Pod Windowswill automaticallyinstallthedriver.Justfollowthesimple
installationprocedure,and finally,in “MYCOMPUTER”youwill findanewicon(s)
“REMOVABLEDISK”.
Now,youareabletoaccess all featuresthatprovidedby U-Pod.
** Pleasealsoread “UTILITIES”inthisinstallationquickreference.
** To “Uninstall”U-Pod,plug offfromtheUSBport.
C. Linux
ForLinux, youcanusethefollowinginstructionstomounttheUSBdiskon.
1. Executecd/etc/sysconfig(cat/etc/sysconfig/hwconf|more)
2. Checkthedevice informationinhwconfandwritedownthemountpoint(e.g.
/dev/sda)
3. Makeadirectoryin/mnt(e.g. mkdir/mnt/flashdisk)
4. Mountthedevice on(e.g.mount/dev/sda/mnt/flashdiskifmountpointis
/dev/sda)
