Remove the plug-in mains
adapter 8from the socket
- if a malfunction occurs,
- before you clean the product,
- if you have not used the
product for a long time,
- during a thunderstorm and
- after each use. When doing
so, remove the plug-in mains
adapter 8directly from the
socket and do not pull it out
using the supply cord.

Overheating, fire or bursting can

Never throw batteries/recharge-

The connection terminals must
not be short-circuited.

Avoid extreme environmental
conditions and temperatures,
which could affect batteries/
rechargeable batteries, e.g.
radiators/direct sunlight.
If batteries/rechargeable batter-
ies have leaked, avoid contact
with skin, eyes and mucous mem-
branes with the chemicals! Flush
immediately the affected areas
with fresh water and seek medi cal
attention!
WEAR PROTECTIVE
GLOVES! Leaked or
damaged batteries/rechargea-
ble batteries can cause burns
on contact with the skin. Wear
suitable protective gloves at all
times if such an event occurs.
This product has a built-in re-
chargeable battery which cannot
be replaced by the user. The re-
moval or replacement of the re-
chargeable battery may only be
carried out by the manufacturer
or his customer service or by a
similarly qualified person in or-
der to avoid hazards. When dis-
posing of the product, it should
be noted that this product con-
tains a rechargeable battery.
ATTENTION! RISK OF
PRODUCT DAMAGE! Do not
expose the product to direct sun-
shine or heat. The ideal ambient
temperature is between 5 and
40°C. Extreme low or high tem-
perature may damage the bat-
tery or the product.
No action is needed from users
to shift the product between 50
and 60Hz. The product adapts
itself for both 50 and 60Hz.
Before use
Remove all parts from the package.
Oiling the blades (see Fig. D + E)
It is recommended that you oil the blades of the
cutting unit 1and the paw trimmer unit 15
before first use and after cleaning to guarantee
complete functionality.
Apply one or two drops of blade oil 12 between
the blades and distribute them evenly.
Wipe away any excess oil using a cloth.
You can also use any acid-free oil such as
sewing machine oil.
Charging (see Fig. C)
Note: Before first use, the rechargeable battery
in the product should be charged for approx.
90 minutes. A charging time of 90 minutes is also
required subsequently.
Note: The charging process and the battery level
are shown on the charging display 6and the bat-
tery-status display 5.

always switch the product off by sliding the
ON/OFF switch 4to the position with the
marking “0” is shown before charging the
battery.
Insert the cable plug of the plug-in mains a dapter
8into the socket on the lower part of the
product 7.
Insert the plug-in mains adapter 8into a socket
which meets the product requirements.
Disconnect the product from the plug-in mains
adapter 8when the battery-status display 5
shows the red plug icon turns off and the green
battery symbol turns on (i.e. approx. 100%
battery level).
Note: Do not leave the product permanently
connected to the plug-in mains adapter 8to
avoid damage to the battery or the product.
Note: You can use the product for up to
approx. 60 minutes with a full battery.
Operation
C hanging the comb attachm ents
on the cutting unit (see Fig. F + G)
Carefully place the desired comb attachment 9
onto the product as depicted in Fig. F. Ensure
that both recesses of the comb attachment 9
properly engage into the lateral detents at both
sides above the cutting unit 1.
To remove the comb attachment 9, press and
s
lide it forward and upwards using both t humbs.
CAUTION! It is normal that the product will
become hot during use. Occasionally turn off
the product while using and check to see if
product has possibly gotten too hot for your
pet. If so, switch off the product to cool it down.
Setting the trim length
To set different trim lengths, hold the upper
part of the product 2and twist the length
position indicator 3into the desired position
(0.8–2.0mm). The set trim length will be dis-
played on the length position indicator
3
w hich
aligns with the dot-marking on the upper part
of the product 2.
Note: Only cutting unit 1can provide adjust-
ments on the trim length. The paw trimmer unit
15 cannot.
Trimming fur
Note: The fur being trimmed should be clean,
dry and untangled.
Carefully comb the fur using the supplied styling
comb 14 to disentangle any potential knots.

Begin by using the longer comb attachment 9
and trim the fur gradually to the desired length.
It is suggested to first trim a small area so as to
test the individual comb attachments 9.
Avoid making sudden movements when
trimming.
Switch the product on by sliding the ON/OFF
switch 4to the position with the marking “I”
is shown.
Guide the product slowly and steadily through
the fur. If possible, trim against the direction of
the fur‘s growth.
While doing so, hold the product in such a
way that the selected comb attachment 9is
positioned as level as possible.
Comb the fur repeatedly.
You can adjust the desired trim length of the c omb
attachment 9more accurately by rotating the
length position indicator 3. These gradations
differ by 0.3mm.
After use, switch the product off by sliding the
ON/OFF switch 4to the position with the
marking “0” is shown.
Example:
Comb attachment 3.0 mm
(trim length 3.8–5mm):
Furthermost left
position (0.8mm): short fur (3.8 mm)
Middle position
(1.4mm): mid-length fur (4.4mm)
Furthermost right
position (2.0mm): long fur (5.0mm)
Note: Only cutting unit 1can provide adjustments
on the trim length. The paw trimmer unit 15 cannot.

Trimming fur on paw
Switch the product off by sliding the ON/OFF
switch 4to the position with the marking “0”
is shown.
Remove the cutting unit 1and the comb attach-
ment 9from the product (see Fig. F–I).
Rotate the lower part of the product 7to the
2.0 length position indicator 3.
Place the paw trimmer unit 15 to the product
until both recesses of the paw trimmer unit 15
engage into the product (see Fig. H + I).
Switch on the product by sliding the ON/OFF
4switch to the position with the marking “I”
is shown.
Guide the blade of the paw trimmer unit 15 on
the paw area.

Cleaning and care

of the mains socket before cleaning the product.
Never touch the plug-in mains adapter 8with
moist or wet hands, especially when you plug
it into the socket or pull it out of the socket.
Always keep the plug-in mains adapter 8and
supply cord dry.
CAUTION! RISK OF PROPERTY DA MAGE!
Do not submerge the product in water or any
other liquid to clean it as the product is not
waterproof. This could damage the live parts
(rechargeable batteries).
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents.
Clean the housing using a damp cloth and a
mild detergent.
Switch the product off by sliding the ON/OFF
switch 4to the position with the marking “0”
is shown.
Disconnect the supply cord from the product
and remove the plug-in mains adapter 8from
the mains socket.
Remove the comb attachment 9, the cutting
unit 1or the paw trimmer unit 15 from the
product (see Fig. F–I).
Wash the comb attachment 9, the cutting unit

or the paw trimmer unit

with running water
and dry them.
Remove any remaining bits of fur from the
cutting unit 1using the cleaning brush 11
provided (see Fig. J).
Apply one or two drops of blade oil 12
between the blades and the moving parts
(see Fig. D + E).
Adjust the length position indicator 3to
2.0mm after you have finished cleaning the
product, before once more attaching the
cutting unit 1to the product (see Fig. H + I).

mation on collection points and their
opening hours can be obtained from

Faulty or used batteries/rechargeable batteries
must be recycled in accordance with Directive
2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return
the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the
product to the available collection points.
Environmental damage through
incorrect disposal of the
batteries/
rechargeable batteries!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be dis-
posed of with the usual domestic waste. They may
contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to haz-
ardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The
chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows:
Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is w hy
you should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable
batteries at a local collection point.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality
guidelines and meticulously examined before deliv-
ery. In the event of product defects you have legal
rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal
rights are not limited in any way by our warranty
detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the d ate
of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date
of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt
in a safe location. This document is required as your
proof of purchase.
Should this product show any fault in materials or
manufacture within 3 years from the date of purc hase,
we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of
charge to you. This warranty becomes void if the
product has been damaged, or used or maintained
improperly.
The warranty applies to defects in material or manu-
facture. This warranty does not cover product parts
subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered
consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fr agile
parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass
parts.

You can return a defective product to us free of
