Safety precautions
Handlethemicrophonewithspecialcare,avoidingsuddenshockssuchasdroppingor
hitting into other objects.
Do not tap the microphone patches to check if they are working. Do not blow into the
microphone patches to check if they are working. The LED ring indicator will show the
current status of the microphone.
Warranty Information
ZYLIA’s hardware products are covered with warranty against defects in materials and
workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase
by the original end-user purchaser (“Warranty Period”).
Duringthiswarrantyperiod,ifadefectarises,andyoufollowtheinstructionsforreturn-
ingtheproduct,wewillapplyoneofthefollowingoptions:

• repairtheproductusingeitherneworrefurbishedparts,
• replacetheproductwithaneworrefurbishedproduct,
• refund the purchase price of the product.
A replacement product assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or nine-
ty(90)daysfromthedateofreplacementorrepair,whicheverprovideslongercoverage
for you.
This warranty applies only to hardware products manufactured by or for ZYLIA that can
beidentiedbytheZYLIAtradename,serialnumberandlogoafxedtothemandwhich
aresoldthroughourofcialsaleschannels.
This warranty does not apply:
• tonormaltearandwearandcosmeticdamage,includingbutnotlimitedtoscratch-
es and dents;
• to defects or damage caused by misuse, alteration, accident (including without

limitationcollision,reandthespillageoffoodorliquid),neglect,abuse,unusual
stress,modication,improperorunauthorizedrepair,installation,wiring,ortesting,
improperstorage,useinanunapproveddeviceoriftheserialnumberhasbeen
removed;
• to damage caused by using the product outside the permitted or intended uses
described by ZYLIA;
• toanynonZYLIAhardwareproductsoranysoftware,evenifpackagedorsoldwith
ZYLIA products;
• tomodicationsoftheproductsrmwareorsoftwarebyanyoneotherthanZYLIA.
ZYLIA reserves the right to disable products if ZYLIA suspects fraud or if ZYLIA
determinesthattheproductsarecounterfeit,stolenorlostinshipment.
ZYLIA does not warrant that the operation of the products will be uninterrupted or error-
free. ZYLIA is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions re-
lating to the use of the products.

TIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE TERM OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. NO
WARRANTIES,WHETHEREXPRESSORIMPLIED,WILLAPPLYAFTERTHEEXPIRATION
OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITA-
TIONSONHOWLONGANIMPLIEDWARRANTYLASTS,SOTHISLIMITATIONMAYNOT

Toobtainwarrantyserviceforanyproductthatissubjecttotheforegoingwarranty,you
must notify ZYLIA and return the defective product together with proof of purchase to

Microphone mounting options
The ZM-1 microphone comes with a ¼’’ mount which connects with the bundled tri-
podstand.Thetripodstandhasa⅝”mount.Thesetalsoincludesa⅝”to⅜”mount
adapter.
LED ring status indicator
The LED ring located on the equator of the microphone informs on the current status
of the microphone:
• Bluelight–TheZM-1microphoneispoweredandconnectedtothecomputer,
• Redlight–TheZM-1microphonesendsrecordingdatatothecomputer,
• Green light – testing mode.

It is possible to dim the LED ring or even turn it off completely. Please refer to the in-
structions which are provided with the ZM-1 microphone driver software.
First use
Productregistrationisrequiredbeforerstuse.RegisteryourZYLIAPortableRecord-
ing Studio at www.zylia.co/register. After registering download and install ZYLIA Studio
software and ZM-1 microphonedriver for your operating system (MAC, Windows or
Linux).
