PRIOR TO INSTALLATION
Read the manual prior to installation. Technical knowledge is necessary for installation. The place of installation must be free of moisture
and away from heat sources. Please ensure that the correct tools are using during the installation to avoid damage to the vehicle or prod-
uct. Connects2 can not be held responsible for the installation of this product.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
Take the 14-way connector on the vehicle interface harness and plug this into the relevant connecon on the side of
the interface.
Aach the antenna adapter to the vehicles pre-exisng connecon.
Remove the vehicles exising USB interface and replace the circuit board within the origianl hosuing using the re-
placement provided. This will provide support with your new aermarket radio (See page 4 for more informaon).
Connect the male yellow RCA to the ‘reverse camera input’ on the back of the new stereo.
Aach the addional wiring on the harness to the back of the stereo:
Pink - Speed Pulse Green - Park Brake Purple - Reverse

IMPORTANT: THIS STEP MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE CONNECTING POWER TO THE INTERFACE.
FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN A LACK OF FUNCTIONALITY AND THE NEED TO REINSTALL THE
PRODUCT

When all the above wires (and any addional accessories) have been connected, nally make the power connecons
between the stereo and the vehicles pre-exisng connector.
Test stereo and steering wheel control functionality for correct operation before reassembling the
vehicle dashboard. If steering wheel control functions are unresponsive, please uninstall the interface and
wiring and reinstall carefully in accordance with the above steps.

USB & AUX Retention
Replacement Circuit Board
In order to retain the factory location
of the USB and AUX. You would be
required to remove the factory circuit
board from the housing, replacing it with
the circuit board provided provided as
illustrated by the images on the left.
Please note: It is important to ensure
that the housing of the original USB &
AUX is identical to the one shown.

Clock Adjustment (Forester 2022)
Entering Menu
The clock adjustment is carried out through navigating via the
vehicles upper dash display.
The menu is activated through using the steering wheel con-
trols (please see page 2).
In order trigger the vehicles time / date menu the MFD must
not be displaying the following: Pull and hold “i/SET” switch
for menu.
(As shown by the image). You can scroll through the MFD in
order to exit this page.
Push and hold [INFO] button in order to trigger the time / date
menu.
Once activiated, you will be able to access the vehicles origi-
nal settings. Here you are able to adjust time/date alongside
reviewing various other driver settings as illustrated by the
image.
The clock can now be adjusted through the vehicles factory
protocol.
USB Functionality -
Once the circuit board has been re-
placed into the factory housing, it is
important to test its functionality.
