1.1 Scope

2. Known Issues for 3Com Baseline Switch 2250 Plus

2.1 Image Download
•If you download an incorrect image for Web upgrade, the Switch does not display an
error message and continues to function normally.
2.2 Limited SNMP Support
•The Switch has limited SNMP support in this release.
3. Upgrading Software
To upgrade the software in the 3Com Baseline Switch 2250 Plus, perform the following
procedure:
1. Obtain (i.e., download) the appropriate upgrade file for your device.
The upgrade file available from the 3Com web site is provided in an EXE format.
Please run the executable to reveal the upgrade file.
2. Access the web administration interface by pointing your web browser at the IP
address for the switch.
3. Log in to the user interface. Default: Type “admin” in the username field and press
Return. (The default admin password is to leave the password field blank.)
4. Select the “Administration” tab on the menu on the left side of the page and choose
the Firmware Upgrade tab.
5. Click the “Browse” button, which will open a screen for you to select a filename to
load into the Switch. Select “Open”.
6. Click the “OK” button.
7. Follow the instructions in the popups for the remainder of the upgrade.
