Linx®Argo 40/15
Motor Instructions
1. Setup
► Remove remote from box.
► Remove battery cover plate on rear and remove battery to access and remove plastic battery isolating tab.
► Re-insert battery.
*Linx remotes should be kept out of reach of children at all times.
2. Set the number of Channels (for 15 channel remote)

► Hold LEFT and RIGHT buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds.
► LCD should display C rst, then 15 after about 3 seconds.
► Use LEFT or RIGHT to change the number of required channels.
► Press and hold STOP button for 3 seconds, “O” will appear, the new settings are saved.
(This hides the unused channels, which can be shown again by repeating the above steps)

3.Pairing Remote to Motor
►Select the desired Channel on remote (15 Channel Remote Only).
►Press and hold the button on the motor head for about 2 seconds
until the motor jogs and gives 1 long beep.
►Hold the STOP button on remote for 5 seconds (motor double
jiggles in response).
ONLY WORKS WITHIN 7 SECONDS OF POWERING THE MOTOR.
4. Check Motor Direction
► WARNING: MAKE SURE DIRECTION IS CORRECT BEFORE SETTING LIMITS.
UP should roll the blind fabric onto the roller.
► To change direction, hold the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously for about 2 seconds.
► Motor jogs to conrm direction changed.
5. Setting Limits
First decide if you wish to set the inner limit manually or automatically. Manually setting the inner limits is the default setting.
If you wish to set your own inner limit, move onto steps 5a and 5b.
If you wish to set the inner limit automatically (ONLY ON FULL CASSETTE AWNINGS) use steps 5c and 5d.
5a SET INNER LIMIT MANUALLY
► Move to the inner limit position (blind will move in Step Mode).
► (Hold the button down for 3 seconds for Continuous Run Mode). BE CAREFUL AS LIMITS AREN’T SET YET.
► Hold UP and STOP buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to set limit. (2 jogs + 3 beeps).
5b SET OUTER LIMIT MANUALLY
► Move to the outer limit position (blind will move in Step Mode).
► (Hold the button down for 3 seconds for Continuous Run Mode). BE CAREFUL AS LIMITS AREN’T SET YET.
► Hold DOWN and STOP buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to set limit. (2 jogs + 3 beeps).

5d SET THE REBOUNDING FUNCTIONS (only if you have used 5c to set the limits)
►OUTER REBOUND - in this mode the motor will rebound about 10cm at the outer limit to tension the fabric.
To turn this function Off or ON again, press P2, then STOP, then DOWN (off is indicated by 1 jog and a long beep)
or (on is indicated by 2 jogs and 3 beeps).
►INNER TENSION RELEASE - in this mode the motor will pull the cassette closed rmly, then give a slight tension release
of a few millimetres. If you do not want the tension released, Press P2 then STOP, then UP (Motor will jog once and beep once).
To reinstate the tensioning, repeat this command (Motor will jog twice and beep 3 times).
6. Adjusting Limits
►First delete all the limits as per step 10.
►Return to step 5 to set your limits via your preferred method.
7. Favourite position
► To set a favourite position, rst ensure the main limits are set.
► Move the awning to the position you want to set as favourite
► Press P2 (1 jog 1 beep), STOP (1 jog 1 beep), STOP (2 jogs and 3 beeps). The favourite position is set.
► Repeat this process to remove the favourite position.
► To access the favourite position, hold down STOP for 2 seconds until the awning moves.
8. Pairing/Unpairing Additional Remote
► On programmed remote press P2 (motor 1 jog + 1 beep) then P2 (motor 1 jog + 1 beep) then P2 on the second remote
you want to add or delete (2 jogs + 3 beeps)
9. Remove all the Remotes
► P2 (1 jog + 1 beep) then STOP (1 jog + 1 beep) then P2 (2 jogs + 3 beeps).
10.Delete all the Limits
► P2 (1 jog + 1 beep) then DOWN (1 jog + 1 beep) then P2 (2 jogs + 3 beeps).
11. Factory Reset Motor
►The P1 button is clear button on the motor head.
►Hold the P1 button until the motor cycles through 4 x down/up jogs (14 sec), then release P1 button, motor beeps 4 times
to conrm RESET.
5c SET THE INNER LIMIT AUTOMATICALLY (Full cassette awnings only)
►First set the motor to ‘Auto inner limit mode” Press P2, then UP then UP.
Motor will jog twice and beep 3 times.
►If the motor makes 1 jog and a long beep, repeat the step above.
►Move to the outer limit position (blind will move in Step Mode).
►(Hold the button down for 3 seconds for Continuous Run Mode).
BE CAREFUL AS LIMITS AREN’T SET YET.
►Hold DOWN and STOP buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to set outer limit.
(2 jogs + 3 beeps).
►Now hold the UP button until the awning starts to run continuously in.
(The motor will close the cassette and stop)

Enabling and disabling remote control
►To disable the remote response of the motor, press the P1 button on the motor head for 6 seconds (motor will jog at 2
seconds, then jog and beep twice at 6 seconds) Motor will not respond to the remote.
►To re-enable the remote response of the motor, press the P1 button on the motor head for 2 seconds until the motor jogs.
The motor will now respond to its remote again.
Locking the limits on the remote control
To render the remote unable to alter limits perform the following:
On a single channel remote
To lock the remote
Step 1 - Remove the battery cover.
Step 2 - Press the STOP button on the front for around 15 seconds until the lights come on solid. Step 3 – Press the “P2” button
on the back. If you get 2 slow ashes, the remote is now locked.
To unlock the remote, perform the same task again, and if the lights ash 8 times quickly, then the remote is unlocked.
On a Multi-channel remote
To lock the remote
Step 1 – Remove the battery cover.
Step 2 - Press the STOP button on the front for around 15 seconds until an “L” appears in the screen. The “L” indicates it is
asking you if you wish to lock the remote.
Step 3 – Within a few seconds press the “P2” on the back to conrm the lock. An “O” will appear in the screen to conrm
the lock.
To unlock the remote
Step 1 - Press the STOP button on the front for around 15 seconds until a “U” appears in the screen. The “U” indicates it is
asking you if you wish to unlock the remote.
Step 2 - Within a few seconds press the “P2” on the back to conrm the unlock. An “O” will appear in the screen to conrm
the unlock.

FOR MOTORS FITTED WITH MOLEX IN LINE CONNECTOR PLUG.
While fully compliant to Australian standards, Linx motors and their connections are not waterproof and
must be protected from the elements, especially water. For safe installation, all the following points must
be observed:

►The electrical connections must be performed by a licensed electrician.
►Any in-line molex connector must be covered and sealed with the supplied heat-shrink.
►The motor and molex connection must be installed in a dry environment and be
protected from any water exposure and any/all weather elements.
►A drip loop must be installed in the electrical cable so that water cannot reach the
motor if the cable gets wet.
►Never spray the motor or cables while cleaning the awning.
FOR MOTORS FITTED WITH NO MOLEX

cable gets wet.
►Never spray the motor or cables while cleaning the awning.
