Storage Tips
Storage Tips and Operating Environment
Store in a well-ventilated area and keep components away from dust and dirt.
Environmental Temperature Range: 14°F to 122°F
Relative Humidity: less than 90%, without condensation.
Keep goods away from corrosive gases and liquids.
DO NOT invert the battery.
IMPORTANT: For long-term storage, the battery should be connected to a battery
tender or discharged and charged once every two month. Or the battery may work I
mproperly.
Operating Tips
Ambient Operating Temperature Range: 14°F to 122°F
Humidity Range: 0 - 90%
Page1
Due to the phenomenon of the self-discharge of battery, before initial use or non-use
of two months, please charge the battery for more than 20 hours in sunny day. The
way of charging and safety precaution will be found in the instructions.
DO NOT use any loads during the process of charging.
IMPORTANT: Please turn on the main switch before charging.
The time of fully charged is affected by the intensity of sunlight, please extend the
charging time correspondingly when the sunlight is dim.
In order to guarantee better operational performance, please charge the battery at
least once every two months.
Normally, the battery should be charged immediately when battery power is running
out. DO NOT put aside the battery for long without charging after use. Please read
the first point for further requirement of charging.
The working temperature of the battery case is between -10°C and 50°C. If the
temperature exceeds 50°C, it may result in the failure of battery.

Do not destroy modules,
tear down modules.
Do not mark the
back of modules
with sharp materials.
Do not drop or
allow objects to
fall onto module.
Do not install the
module or mounting
system in high
corrosion areas.
Please do not install the panel
in the place where the sunlight
may be blocked from getting to
the panel.
Keep away from fire.
Do not drill holes in
frame.
The module must not be
immersed in water (either
fresh or salt) or constantly
be exposed to water (either
fresh or salt) (i.e. from
fountains, sea spray).
Do not install module
near flammable
gases.
Do not install module on smooth roof.
Flammable
Gases
The light intensity of
street light can not
recharge to battery
throught solar panels.
Installation
High temperature will reduce the performance of module, lowering power output.
Good ventilation can effectively reduce the effect of power loss due to excessive heat.
Panels should be installed in a well ventilated location.
The solar panels are water resistant but not waterproof. Do not submerge in water or
expose the panel to a continual flow of water.
The length of the wire between panel and the battery case is 5m, please conduct the
installation after confirming the distance.

IMPORTANT: Turn switch off for long term
storage.
The Power Pack and
the lamps are
designed for indoor
(protected) use only.
Hang the lamp based on requirements.
Knock two nails into the wall
which the PowerPack is going
to be installed, with the distance
of 100mm between the two nails.
Hang the Power Pack on the wall.

The PowePack & lamps
should be installed in a
shaded location, avoiding
direct sunlight and must
be free from moisture.
Do not invert the ,
the leak of battery fluid
caused by invert will result
in the damage of battery.

The red LED is a low voltage indicator.
If the battery is low, red LED will turn
on, and the lamp will stop working.
The red indicator light is also the
indicator of failure. The red light will
turn on in the case of overload or short
circuit, at the same time, the power
supply will be cut off. Turn off the main
switch, eliminate the failure and the red
light will be off.

Typical Maintenance Schedule
Replace battery
ACDC’s Solar Powerpack are designed to be essentially maintenance free. In
certain regions with extreme conditions, however, some level of maintenance is
required to ensure the proper function of the lights. These regions are typically where
there is a risk of dust, snow, or ice covering the solar panels and thus reducing the
power of the lights.
Do not change any system components with non approved ACDC components.
Failure to follow this instruction could cause system failure and nullify the product
warranty.
PV Module; …clean the glass surface of the module as necessary. Use water and a soft
sponge or cloth for cleaning. A mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent can be used if
necessary. Do not use dishwasher detergent.
Protect the cables against mechanical stress when they are being laid (e.g. against
pressure from being trodden on).
Maintenance
Daily: Inspection the product to ensure it is working well. if not, please according to
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE to check and maintain, or call supplier.
Every 2 Month: Please make sure charge and discharge the battery per two months
Every 2 Month: In regions with frequent rain, the tilt angle of the solar panels allow
for self cleaning of dust. However, in places where rain is infrequent, periodic manual
cleaning of the panels may be required.
Every 1-3Years: The battery has an expect life of 2-3 years(it will affect the battery
lifetime everyday use). Please according to following guide to replace the batteries if
the voltages drop below normal levels.

Fault Phenomenon Probable Cause Solution
The connectors are loose,
and it causes the parts to
fall off.
The battery voltage is
lower than 11.1V. It enters
the state of protection.
The main switch on the
battery box is not turned
on.
Estimate the open-circuit
voltage of battery, if it’s
lower than 10V. The
battery is damaged.
The battery voltage is
lower than 10V. The battery
is damaged.
To prevent from
overcurrent or short
circuit.
The load switch of light is
not turned on.
The battery plug is in the
jar, press it tight and then
plug it tight again.
Charge the battery in time.
If the battery voltage is
more than 12.4V, the red
light will go out. Then the
loads can work again.
Turn on the main switch.
Replace the battery.
Replace the battery.
Turn off the main switch,
troubleshoot problems,
and then turn on the main
switch.
Turn on the switch of light.
All functions of the battery
become invalid, and the
red light goes out.
The loads can’t work, and
the red light is on.
The loads can’t work,
red light goes out.
The battery being charged
after completely discharge,
and the yellow light flashes.
If connected to a load, the
battery discharges soon.
The red light is on.
The main switch is not
turned on. Turn on the main switch.
The connector of solar
panel is loose.
There is something wrong
with the panel. E.g. The
panel is covered.
Please troubleshoot the
problem.
Please troubleshoot the
problem.
The battery can’t be
charged. The yellow light
has no bright or shining
during the charge.
P.S.: If the working voltage of battery is more than 12.5V, the loads output power, and
the battery continuously discharge to 11.1V±0.2V, it will turn into undervoltage
condition then, the loads would be cut down, the undervoltage indicator light (red light)
goes on. And if you turn on the main switch when the battery voltage is 11.1V-12.5V, to
protect the battery, it will turn into undervoltage condition and the loads have no output,
should charge the battery immediately until its voltage is more than 12.5V, the
undervoltage indicator light will go out. The loads can work again.
Please do not use components from other suppliers for replacement without our
allowance, as this may cause damage to the lighting system.
IMPORTANT: For long-term storage, the battery should be connected to a battery
tender or discharged and charged once two months. Or the battery may work
improperly.

FAQ
What direction should I tilt the module?
The solar panel's top surface is the area that generates electricity and thus it is
this surface should be exposed to the sun to capture maximum light.
The maximum light is captured when the panel surface is at 90° angle to the sun's
rays.
Will shading affect my solar module output?
Yes. Don't install the PV module where shading occurs. Shading could cause loss of
output.
Will my solar module work in cloudy weather?
Yes, solar modules can work in low light conditions. On overcast or cloudy days
there will be less energy reaching the solar module and therefore less output.
