2. Product Introduction
2.1 Outline
MD2000-16H is a 19 inch 1RU (rack unit) product which can monitor up to 16 HDMI inputs of Video
and Audio (embedded).
The MD2000-16H can be used for the monitoring of HDMI video and embedded audio, as well as
checking logs in real time with the proprietary NMS.

2.4 Major Feature
The main function of the MD2000-16H is to monitor the proper transmission of Video and Audio of a
broadcast channel. The Multiviewer reads the HDMI input signals from a STB, and provides current
Video and Audio status of the channels via OSD and NMS.

2.4.5 Controlling the MD2000-16H
1) Control via Front Panel : Use buttons in the front panel to set or change the product
2) Control via NMS : Use the NMS software to set or change the product
2.4.6 LED Indication
1) 2 LEDs indicate the power and alarm status of the product
(1) POWER LED : When power is on, the “GREEN” LED comes on.
(2) ALARM LED : When there is an alarm, the “RED” LED flashes.

2.5 MD2000-16H Screen Output
The MD2000-16H Multiviewer displays full or split-screen video as well as various Video and Audio
information on the screen via the HDMI #1 or VGA output. The following is an example of the 4-screen
layout.
The information displayed includes Channel Name, Audio track, Audio levels, and Alarms.

1) INPUT LOSS Alarm
When there are no video and audio signals, a red
box on the video screen and audio bar would blink
and “INPUT LOSS”alarm would be shown just
like the [Figure 4].
2) VIDEO LOSS Alarm
When there is no video input, a red box on the
video screen and audio bar would blink and
“VIDEO LOSS”alarm would be shown just like
the [Figure 5].
3)AUDIO LOSS Alarm
It there is no alarm interval, a red box on the video
screen and audio bar would blink and “AUDIO
LOSS”alarm would be shown just like the [Figure
6].
AUDIO LOSS Alarming condition
In case of AUDIO LOSS alarm, alarm is
incurred even if one channel fails to be input
from the audio bar. In other words, alarm is
incurred if either left or right sound is not input
when it is set to be the single stereo input.

4)VIDEO FREEZE Alarm
When video input is frozen for longer than preset
alarm interval, a red box on the video screen and
audio bar would blink and “VIDEO FREEZE”
alarm would be shown just like the [Figure 7].
5)AUDIO MAX Alarm
When audio input is maintained for a period of the
preset alarm interval, a red box on the audio bar
would blink and “AUDIO MAX ”alarm would be
shown just like the [Figure 8].

3.2 Product Handling and Installation
3.2.1 Warning and Caution
Please read this warning and caution before use.
Operation Conditions
This product operates in the most proper manner in the following condition. However, if the actual
operation condition is maintained to be the minimum or maximum operation condition for a long
period, it may cause loss of life and property. Therefore, please operate the product in the
average operation condition. The proper operation temperature and humidity of the product are
“0 ~ 50°C” and “0~90% (non-condensing)” , respectively.
Caution for Product Handling
1. Disassemble of this product may cause loss of life and property due to electric shock and
malfunction. Please do not disassemble, repair and modify of the product. Please contact
ACETEL if a repair service is required.
2. This product is not water-proof. Thus, the instructions for use shall state that the apparatus
shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as
vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
Caution for Product Moving
It must be moved by more than 2 people to avoid damage on the product. Please straighten up
your back and do not use the back or waist to avoid excessive stress. Also, try not to run while
holding the product. If you have to lower you body for moving or installing the product, do not
bend the waist but use the knees to minimize the physical burden. If you try to move the product
on the ground, move it by holding the base not handles.
Caution for Using Replaceable Lithium Batteries
This product uses replaceable lithium batteries so handle with the following cautions.
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.
Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Clean the chassis with little wet clothe. Comply with the following.
1. Do not clean the inside of the product with damp clothe
2. Do not clean the product with a rough item
3. Do not clean with an industrial solvent including thinner and/or benzene
4. Do not use it with inflammable ignition sources
5. Do not place a vase or item filled with water on top of the product

3.2.2 Warning and Caution for Installation
Please read the warning and caution before installation.
Power and Ground Connection Caution
1. The product must be connected to the proper voltage stated in the manual. Do not connect the
product with improper voltage. Also, do not use the non-grounded cable or damaged cable.
2. For safety, main power sockets and protective ground must be connected and cable for power
supply should be connected to a ground-supported outlet.
3. Where the mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the
disconnect device shall remain readily operable
4. Power supply should be stopped and all the cables connected to the product should be
removed before installing or moving.
5. When it is connected to power supply, do not touch a power supply vehicle. Also, do not touch
plugs with the wet hand or pull out a power cord since there are risks of fire and electric shock.
Also, do not use the damaged and loose power cords, plugs and outlets.
6. Users must check whether the product is properly grounded before supplying of power to the
product. The product must be grounded before the operation. Also, the ground of the product
must be removed at last before moving.
7. To a place where the product to be installed or operated, an earth leakage breaker must be
installed. If there is fire or abrupt change in power supply, the power supply to the product must
be stopped immediately. An earth leakage breaker must be installed at a location where it can
be easily operated.
Caution for Installation Place
1. A place where the product would be installed should be cleaned in advance. Also, tools and/or
equipment should not be on the path to prevent any accident. Before and after the installation,
a fire source should not be near the product.
2. Only proper power should be supplied. Also, ungrounded cables and damaged cables should
not be used. The installation place should be pursuant with the electric safety regulation.
3. For the installation, a sufficient area must be secured. If there is no sufficient area, there could
be a malfunction of the product due to overheating. Try not to cover t an air vent with
newspaper, table cloth or curtain. Do not operate the product in an area with temperature
higher than 40°C to prevent the overheating.
4. Lighting could cause severe malfunctions of the product. To prevent damages caused by
lighting, cables should not be exposed to lighting. The surge prevention system should be
installed.
5. To prevent the static which may cause damages on the product, users should wear a wrist
band or ankle band for installing of a product. When the band for static prevention is worn,
frequently check whether the resistance is within a range of 1~10 MΩ.

Caution for Installation of Product onto Rack
1. To install the product onto the rack, check whether the rack is safe and not damaged before
the installation. Please make sure that the rack is sufficient enough to endure the weight of the
product. This product is designed to be installed onto the 48.26 cm standard rack.
2. To install the product onto the rack, it is recommended to use an open-type rack in order to
prevent the overheating. If a closed-type rack has to be used, a ventilation device must be
installed onto the rack.
3. If only one product is installed onto the rack, the product should be installed onto the lowest
bottom. The rack must be filled from the bottom and the heaviest product should be placed on
the lowest bottom. In case of the rack equipped with a stabilization device, the stabilization
device must be installed onto the rack before loading the product onto the rack.
4. Operation of loading of the product onto the rack or disassembling of the product could have a
risk of falling of the product. Therefore, more than 2 people must work together.
5. To prevent physical damage, the product must be installed onto the lowest bottom of the rack if
only one product is installed onto the rack.
6. If more than one product is installed onto the rack, the heaviest product should be installed on
the lowest bottom.
