American Custom Golf Cars, Inc. (ACG)
Your vehicle is esigne to operate exclusively on battery power.
It is a “Zero Emission Vehicle” (ZEV).
The ACG company objective inclu es customer safety an pro uct satisfaction.
This “Owner’s Manual” is esigne to acquaint you with the proper an safe
operation of your ACG vehicle.
Please take the time to rea an un erstan the manual before operating your
vehicle.
Maintenance sche ules an general care instructions are inclu e in the Operation
an Maintenance section.

Your Insurance may not provide coverage for accidents involving the use of
this vehicle. To determine if coverage is provided you should contact your
insurance company or agent.
Warranty Registration
The separate “Warranty” ocument inclu es a “Warranty Registration Card”.
Your new Cadillac ESCALADE eGC (Electric Golf Cart) comes with a:
One (1) Year Limited Warranty.
The Warranty begins from the ate that the Cadillac ESCALADE eGC is
purchase from an approve Dealer or Distributor of American Custom Golf
Cars, Inc. pro ucts, provi e that the “Warranty Registration Card” is receive
by American Custom Golf Cars, Inc. within 45 Days of the purchase ate of the
vehicle.
If the “Warranty Registration Card” is not receive within 45 ays of purchase
ate, the Warranty commencement date will be the vehicle production date, as
shown on the vehicle’s “Certification Label”.
Please protect your Warranty and mail your “Warranty Registration Card”
today!
There are no other expresse warranties on your ACG vehicle beyon those set in
the accompanying “Warranty” ocument (Appen ix W-1), an no implie warranties
of merchantability or fitness to the full extent allowe by law.

commercial loss or any inci ental, consequential or other amages.
A separate “Tire Registration Card” is provi e for Warranty an potential Tire
Recall campaign, the Tire Registration is require by Fe eral Law un er the TREAD

General Warnings _
1. This “Owner’s Manual” shoul be rea completely before attempting to rive or
service the vehicle. Failure to follow the instructions in this manual coul result in
property amage, severe personal injury, or eath.
2. When charging the vehicle, be sure that the key switch is in the “OFF” position.
If the key is left in the “ON“ position, it may amage the charger or the EGC.
3. Your vehicle is equippe with an on-boar UL- liste charger. When charging
your EGC, please be sure to use a proper, groun e cor to provi e power to
the charger. Please be sure to raise the hoo of the golf cart to allow ventilation
of the charger so that it oes not overheat.
Please refer to the separate “Charging Procedures Manual” for further
detailed information on your eGC charging.
4. Always obey all traffic regulations when operating the vehicle.
5. When stopping an leaving the vehicle:
a) Make sure vehicle has come to a complete stop.
b) Switch “Forward-Neutral-Reverse Switch” to the “Neutral” position.
c) Engage parking brake
) Turn the “Key Switch” to “OFF” position an remove key.
6. Wear safety glasses or approve eye protection when servicing the vehicle.
Wear a full-face shiel an rubber gloves when working with the batteries.
7. Use insulate tools when working aroun batteries or electrical connections.
Use extreme caution to avoi shorting of components or wiring.
8. Improper use of the vehicle or failure to properly maintain it coul result in
ecrease vehicle performance or severe personal injury.
9. Any mo ification or change to the vehicle that affects the stability or han ling
of the vehicle or increases maximum spee beyon factory specifications, coul
result in severe personal injury or eath.
10. Prior to servicing Vehicle:
a. Chock the wheels.
b. Turn the “Key Switch” to “OFF“ position an remove the key.
c. Disconnect battery cables, negative (-) cable first.

WARNING!
1. If renting or loaning the vehicle, make sure that the river is familiar with all
controls an operating proce ures before allowing the vehicle to be riven.
2. Any mo ification or change to the vehicle that affects the stability or han ling
of the vehicle, or increases maximum vehicle spee beyon factory
specifications, coul result in severe personal injury or eath.
3. Do not shift the “Forward-Neutral-Reverse Switch” while the vehicle is
moving. To avoi amaging the vehicle or injuring an unsuspecting
passenger, always bring the vehicle to a full an complete stop before
switching from Forward to Reverse.
4. To avoi unintentionally starting or rolling the vehicle:
A). Set the “Parking Brake”,
B). Turn the “Key Switch” to the “OFF” position,
C). Remove keys prior to leaving the vehicle.

SAFE OWNERSHIP OF ACG ELECTRIC VEHICLES
ACG pure battery electric vehicles are ifferent from vehicles you might be
accustome to owning. Special precautions shoul be followe when owning an
operating an ACG vehicle.
Please rea this “Owner’s Manual” an pay particular attention to the “Cautions”
an “Warnings” in this Manual, as well as those place on the vehicle in various
locations.
In general, ACG Golf Carts are esigne an are inten e only for use at low
spee , up to 15 mph, an are not inten e for use on public roa s.
Specific to ACG vehicles, the following safe habits shoul always be followe :
• ACG vehicles are open vehicles. For this reason, safety belts shoul always be
worn by all occupants to prevent being thrown from the vehicle uring operation.
If your ACG is equippe with optional canvas or plastic oors, these were esigne
an are inten e only to keep win an water out of the vehicle an shoul not be
relie upon to keep occupants in the vehicle or to protect them in case of collision.
• ACG vehicles are not esigne to meet any collision or roll-over requirements.
Therefore, you shoul always rive your ACG vehicle in a safe manner while being
alert to potential angerous situations aroun you. As with all motor vehicles, never
rink alcohol an attempt to rive an ACG vehicle.
• Operate an ACG vehicle only on Golf courses or private roa s where the spee
limits are appropriate for low spee vehicles an the traffic is light.

• You shoul never operate an ACG vehicle so that you are an obstacle an
become an annoyance for faster moving traffic.
• ACG vehicles are esigne to be recharge from a stan ar 120 VAC-15 Ampere
electrical househol outlet that is groun -fault protecte . Charging from a circuit of
lesser capacity an /or using a cor from the outlet to the ACG vehicle that is not
sufficient in wire gauge (AWG) coul create a fire hazar .
Please consult “Charging Procedures Manual” for the proper extension cor
gauge which epen s on its length.

• The voltage in an ACG vehicle battery pack (the battery pack is what you charge
an provi es the “fuel” to the ACG’s electric rive system) is 48 Volt DC an is
sufficient to cause eath by electric shock - electrocution.
For this reason, ACG owners shoul never attempt to o any maintenance or repair
work on their ACG vehicle’s electric rive system, inclu ing the battery pack, unless
they have ha special training. The one exception is inspection an refilling, if
necessary, of the istille water in floo e type batteries that can be or ere with
ACG vehicles.

pointe out to you as the ifferent aspects of owning an operating an ACG vehicle

operation an enjoyment of your ACG Electric Golf Cart.

Controls and Indicators
Key Switch
The “Key Switch” is mounte on the ash to the right of the steering column.
It has two positions:
1. OFF position- There is no power to vehicle. (Key is Vertical as shown in picture below)
2. ON position- vehicle is ON an can be riven. (Key is turned clockwise 45 degrees)
(Key Switch shown in “ON” position)
WARNING!
Never turn the “Key Switch” to the “OFF” position while the vehicle is
in motion. This coul lea to loss of spee control an loss of control
of the vehicle. This can cause a serious acci ent.

Forward – Neutral - Reverse Control Switch
The “Forward-Neutral-Reverse Switch” is locate on the seat support panel.
There are three (3) istinct positions: Forward, Neutral an Reverse.
1.) FORWARD - To operate the vehicle in the forwar irection, rotate the switch
towar s the passenger si e of the vehicle.
2.) REVERSE - To operate the vehicle in the reverse irection, rotate the switch
towar s the river si e of the vehicle. Your Vehicle has been equippe with
a reverse warning beeper so that when the vehicle is in reverse you will hear
a lou beep signaling that the vehicle is in reverse.
3.) NEUTRAL - When the switch is in the straight up an own position the
vehicle is in Neutral an will not move when the accelerator pe al is
epresse .

CAUTION!
Always bring the vehicle to a complete stop before changing the
position of the “Forward-Neutral-Reverse Switch”.

Accelerator Pedal
The “Accelerator Pedal” is the pe al on the right, with the wor “GO” mol e into it.
The operation of the accelerator pe al iffers from that of an Automobile. When the
“Key Switch” is in the “ON” position, epressing the accelerator pe al will release
the parking brake. As the accelerator pe al is epresse spee will increase until
full spee is reache . When you release the accelerator pe al the power to the
motor is cut OFF an the motor will stop running causing the vehicle to coast.
WARNING!
The vehicle will not stop automatically when the “Accelerator Pedal” is
released.
You must depress the “Brake Pedal” in order for the vehicle to come to a
stop or to slow down rapidly.

Brake Pedal
The “Brake Pedal” is the large pe al on the left with the wor “STOP” mol e into it.
To slow or stop the vehicle, release the “Accelerator Pedal” an then epress the
brake pe al with your foot until the EGC has come to a complete stop or the vehicle
has slowe to your esire spee .

Park Brake Pedal
The “Park Brake Pedal” is the small raise portion in the upper left corner of the
“Brake Pedal”. It has the wor “PARK” mol e into it.
To set the park brake, epress the “Brake Pedal” firmly an tilt the park brake
portion of the pe al forwar with your foot.
WARNING!
The “Park Brake” will release automatically when either the “Accelerator
Pedal” or “Brake Pedal” is depressed. The park brake has multiple locking
positions and should be firmly pressed and locked to prevent the vehicle
from rolling.

Light Switch
The “Light Switch” is locate on the Dashboar to the left of the steering Column.
It is a 2 position switch it is labele with ISO symbol (icon).
1.) OFF - When the top portion of the switch “O” is epresse the lights are off.
2.) ON - When the bottom portion of the switch “I” is epresse , the lights are on.
(Light switch shown in “ON” position)
Fog Light Switch
The “Fog Light Switch” is locate on the Dashboar to the left of the steering
Column, next to the “Light Switch”.
It is a 2 position switch it is labele with ISO symbol (icon).
1.) OFF - When the top portion of the switch “O” is epresse the fog lights are off.
2.) ON - When the bottom portion of the switch “I” is epresse , the fog lights are on.
Auxiliary Switches
Two “Auxiliary Switches” are locate on the Dashboar to the left of the steering
Column, next to the “Fog Light Switch” .
It is a 2 position switch it is labele with ““ symbol (icon).
1.) OFF - When the top portion of the switch “O” is epresse the fog lights are off.
2.) ON - When the bottom portion of the switch “I” is epresse , the fog lights are on.

Turn Signal Lever Switch
The Turn Signals are activate by Lever Switch locate on Left si e of steering
column below Steering Wheel.
It is a 3 position switch.
1.) RIGHT - When the Lever is pushe UP (Clockwise) – the Right Lights Flash.
2.) OFF - When the Lever is Horizontal, the Turn Signal lights are “OFF”.
3.) LEFT – When the Lever is pushe own (Counter Clockwise) – the Left Lights Flash.
NOTE:
The system DOES NOT have a “self-canceling” feature; return the Lever to the horizontal
“OFF” position after completing the inten e Turn or Lane Change!

Hazard Warning Flashers
The Hazar Warning Flasher Switch activates both Turn Signals to provi e
“Hazard Warning” by flashing both Right an Left as well as Front an Rear Turn
Signals at the same time.
The “Hazard” function is activate by Pull Switch locate on Left si e of steering
column below Steering Wheel. An imme iately below the Turn Signal Lever.
It is a 2 position switch.
OFF - When the Pull Switch is release (pushe INWARD)
ON - When the Pull Switch is pulle out, the Turn Signal lights are activate .
NOTE:
The Hazar function can be cancele ONLY by moving the “Turn Signal Lever” from the
the horizontal “OFF” position to either “UP” (Right Turn) or “DOWN” (Left Turn) position!
Turn Signal Directional Indicators
The GREEN LED Light to the Left of the Display Panel will flash when the
Left Turn Signal is activate
The GREEN LED Light to the Right of the Display Panel will flash when the
Right Turn Signal is activate
