AUTOMATE EL MOTORS / PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS
These instructions show how to install, program and use Acmeda’s electronic limit tubular motors:
• Automate EL S45
• Automate Q EL S45 (quiet motor)
• Automate EL S60 (with collision control technology)
• Automate EL A50 (for open awnings)
• Automate EL A50/C (for cassette awnings)
• Automate C EL (Curtain motor)
These motors can be controlled with Automate RF 500 series remote devices:
• Automate RF501 (single channel)
• Automate RF515 (15 channel)
• Automate RF505 (5 channel timer)

PAIRING A MOTOR TO A REMOTE
P2 (x2) UP (x1) or
DOWN (x1)
Motor will beep with each buƩon pressed.
To co nfirm pairing, motor will beep
3 Ɵmes and jolt up and down.
• Switch motor power on (motor will beep & jolt).
• Ensure pairing commences within 10 seconds aer motor has completed beeps and jolted.
• Press buons according to motor and roller posion shown below.
CHECK BLIND DIRECTION
Press UP & DOWN buons and ensure blind is moving in correct direcon.
If working correctly proceed to Step 3.
Up and down buƩons only need to be pressed down once.
They do not need to be depressed for blind to operate up and down. UP/DOWN
TO CORRECT BLIND DIRECTION
Press buon on motor head for 5 seconds to change orientaon of blind.
Motor beeps & jolts to confirm change of direcƟon.
Check blind direcon again before proceeding to Step 3.

LIMITS ARE NOW SET
FOR AUTOMATE Q S45 & S60 MOTOR ONLY SET FAVOURITE POSITION
a. Set desired lower limit posion (using UP and DOWN buons).
b. If needed, put motor in Stepping Mode by pressing
P2 while motor is moving.
c. Once blind is at desired posion, press STOP for 5 seconds unl
motor confirms posion.
To co nfirm limit, motor will jolt down and up.
It is possible to programme mulƟple motors on each channel.
To program another motor on the same channel, turn OFF motor 1, turn ON motor 2 and repeat steps from 1 to 5.
a. Press P2 buon (x1).
b. Press UP buon (x1).
c. Press P2 buon (x1).
To co nfirm seƫng mode, motor will beep 3 Ɵmes and jolt up and down.

SET UPPER LIMIT FIRST
*To program an A50/C Motor go to Step 5
a. Set desired upper limit posion first (using UP and DOWN buons).
b. When a more accurate seng is required put motor in
Stepping Mode by pressing P2 while motor is moving up/down.
c. Once blind is at desired posion, press STOP for 5 seconds unl
motor confirms posion.
To co nfirm limit, motor will jolt down and up.
UP (x1) Hold STOP for 5 sec
SET LOWER LIMIT
DOWN (x1) Hold STOP for 5 sec
TO SEND BLIND TO FAVOURED POSITION,
PRESS THE STOP BUTTON FOR 5 SECONDS. Hold STOP for 5 secUP/DOWN
PUT MOTOR IN LIMIT SETTING MODE
• Use UP and DOWN to find your favourite posion.
• Press STOP for 5 seconds unl motor confirms posion.

It is possible to create a subgroup of motors controlled by the same channel.
a. Press P2 (x2) on channel already programmed (example Channel 1)
b. Press P2 (x1) to copy channel sengs to group control channel
(example Channel 5)
To co nfirm channel transfer, motor will beep x3 Ɵmes and jolt up and down.
REPEAT STEPS A & B TO COPY SETTINGS OF ALL MOTORS THAT ARE PART OF THE SUBGROUP INTO CHANNEL 5
MOTOR IS NOW PAIRED TO ANOTHER CHANNEL
a. Ensure MOTOR 1 is ON and all other motors are off.
b. Use channel selecon arrows to select preferred channel.
c. Complete steps 1 - 5 [Programming a remote in five simple steps]
NOTE: If remote is on Channel 0, motor will not pair with remote.
It is possible to programme mulple motors on each channel.
It is possible to programme mulple motors on each channel. Connue to follow the same procedure for more motors.

PROGRAMMING WITH A MULTI CHANNEL REMOTE
ONCE ALL BLINDS HAVE BEEN PROGRAMMED, IT IS POSSIBLE TO OPERATE ALL BLINDS TOGETHER
For a 15 Channel Remote: Choose channel 0 to operate all blinds
For a 5 Channel Timer Remote: Highlight all channels by pressing channel selecon.

A mulchannel remote allows you to control several blinds or groups of blinds on one device.
Each channel can be programmed like a single channel remote, by following the below instrucons.

CANCELLING LIMITS AND REMOTES
IF YOU CANCEL LIMITS ON A MULTICHANNEL REMOTE, ALL CHANNEL SETTINGS WILL BE CANCELLED.

To modify limits you need to cancel all limits previously applied, by following the below instrucons.
a. Press P2 (x1)
b. Press STOP
c. Press DOWN
d. The motor will beep and jolt to confirm that the collision control funcon has been removed.

FIVE CHANNEL TIMER REMOTE PROGRAMMING
The RF 505 Remote can acvate the motor twice a day (Opening Time and Closing Time), each day of the week, at the me set
during programming. The remote works in three modes:
• MANUAL (MAN) Timer funcon is not acve
• AUTO (AUTO) Timer funcon is acve
• RANDOM (AUTO) Timer funcon is acve and the remote emits his signals randomly
with +/- 15 minutes vs. scheduled me.
Press Mode buon repeatedly to switch from one Mode to another. The current seng Mode is displayed on the LCD screen.
SET THE CLOCK
a. Switch to Manual mode pressing Mode buon
b. Set Hours
i. Press Timer buon for 3 sec. “Hours” flash on the display
ii. Press Up/Down buon to adjust hours
c. Set Minutes
i. Press any Channel Selecon buon; “Minutes” flash
ii. Press Up/Down buon to adjust minutes
d. Set Day
i. Press Channel Selecon buon; “Day” flash
ii. Press Up/Down buon to adjust day
e. Save sengs
i. Press Timer buon for 3 sec. “Hours” and “Minutes” flash simultaneously
ii. Press Timer once to acvate the clock.

a. Switch to AUTO mode pressing Mode buon.
b. Select a channel (i.e Channel 1)
c. Press mer buon for 3 seconds.
Default day: Sunday
Default me: 6:30
d. Press mer buon once.
OPTIONAL: To change the day press the mer buon repeatedly.
a. ‘Hours” flash on the display; use Up/Down buon to adjust hours
b. Press any Channel Selecon once, “Minutes” flash on the screen,
use Up/Down buon to adjust minutes
a. Press Mode buon (Default Closing me is 17.30)
b. ‘Hours” flash on the display; use Up/Down buon to adjust hours
c. Press any Channel Selecon once, “Minutes” flash on the screen,
use Up/Down buon to adjust minutes
a. Press Timer buon to select next day
b. Repeat Steps 2 & 3 as outlined above for each day of the week.
To avoid programming a certain day, set me to --:-- using Up/Down buons.
a. Press Timer buon for 3 seconds.
Hours and minutes flash simultaneously and weekly me
sengs will be automacally saved.
Change Channel and repeat TIMER PROGRAMMING Steps 1-4 to program all other channels (i.e Channel 2-5)
Set the remote on “all channels” to control all motor according to programming.
• TIME DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OPENING AND CLOSING MUST BE MORE THAN 32 MINUTES.

a. Press the UP buon. The curtain should open.
Press the DOWN buon. The curtain should close.
To reverse direcon;
b. Repeat Step 1a - 1b
c. Press the DOWN buon.
The LED light will flash five Ɵmes.
a. Press the UP buon.
The curtain will hit the edge of the track.
b. Press the DOWN buon.
The curtain will close completely.
a. Direct the Curtain to your desired Favourite posion
using UP/DOWN and STOP buons.
b. Press P2 once. The LED light will flash once.
c. Press STOP 5 mes.
The LED light will flash every Ɵme STOP is pressed (five Ɵmes).

PAIR MOTOR WITH REMOTE
a. Press the Seng Buon on the motor for approx. 2 secs.
When the LED light flashes, release Seƫng BuƩon.
b. Press P2 buon on the remote twice.
The LED light will flash every Ɵme P2 buƩon is pressed.
c. Press UP once; the LED will flash five me.
