Control Installation

Location
• ENSURE that the wall controller is installed in a location that is within the range of
applicable WiFi access point. The distance is dependent on router model and brand.
Refer to your unit access point manual.
• ENSURE that the wall controller is installed in a location that is within the
recommended range of RF signal of all connected zone devices. Maximum range is
30 metres line of sight and unobstructed.
• Do not install the wall controller on external walls, directly below the supply air grille
or near other additional heat load sources, as these locations may alter
sensor readings.
• Do not install the master controller near magnetic, metallic objects or install near
power cables as these may effect the wireless data signal it sends and receive.
• Avoid looping excess cable.
• Ensure there is ample space around the wall controller (100mm min) to ensure
proper air temperature reading and adequate access for service.
• It is required to use the provided wall anchors and screws to secure device on
the wall.
• DO NOT swap the master controller and secondary wall controller after setup.
• Use the included 10m yellow Cat5E spec cables with RJ45 connectors & cable boot.
For longer cable requirements upto 30m in length, an optional 20m cable and RJ45
connector are available separately.
• Use only the allocated indoor board terminal to connect the controllers.

Wall Installation
Run a yellow RJ45 cable through a 25 mm diameter hole in the wall.
Plug in RJ45 cable and secure the controller in the control bracket.
To indoor board
NOTE:
• Use provided wall plug (x2) in lieu of wall mates if applicable.
• Use provided screws
• Wall mates or wall plug must be totally flush to the wall.
• Hole for cable MUST NOT be MORE THAN 25 mm in diameter
• Caution should be taken to ensure that there is adequate hole clearance and
wall cavity depth to avoid unnecessary pressure to the cable and its connection
point.

Zone Control / Remote Sensor Installation
Location
• ENSURE that the zone device (zone controller or remote sensor) distance
from wall controller (master or secondary) is within the recommended RF
range of 30m.
• Do not install the zone devices on external walls, directly below the supply
air grille or near other additional heat load sources, as these locations may
alter sensor readings.
• Do not install zone devices near magnetic, metallic objects or install near
power cables as these may effect the RF data signal it sends and receive
wall controller.
• Avoid looping excess cable.
• Ensure there is an ample space (100mm) around the zone device to ensure
proper air temperature reading and access for removal.
• It is required to use the provided wall anchors and screws to secure the
device on the wall.
• If a zone device is required to be replaced, remember to unpair the existing
controller and pair the new one to the master controller.
• Use a maximum of 20m RJ45 cable.
• Plug the power cable to its designated zone damper terminal or zone
module terminal (using 3-way cable joiner).
• DO NOT use battery and zone power cable at the same time.

Wall Installation (applicable for both zone controller or remote sensor)
Run a green RJ45 cable through a 25mm diameter hole in the wall.
Plug in RJ45 Cable and secure the controller in the control bracket.

Start Up
(1) Connect WiFi
NOTE:
This process maybe skipped if WiFi network is not available. This may be
completed later by going to ‘ Menu ’ > ‘Settings’ > ‘WiFi Settings’.
1. On master controller, press (hold for 3 seconds then release)
MENU button to turn ON the system. Wait for a few seconds
as the controller will start to boot up.
2. On next screen touch ‘Begin setup process’ button. Touch
the first circle, ‘Connect WiFi’.
3. On the next screen touch to start searching for available
WiFi network. Select your access point from the WiFi
network list.
4. Enter the WiFi password then touch ‘Join’.
5. When the WiFi is successfully connected, touch ‘Next‘ to
proceed to next process (Account Setup).
NOTE:
QUE System must have a user account and internet connection in order to
use features such as energy history, remote connection via QUE Connect
App and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
QUE system connection to internet is only available through WiFi network.
Once connected to the internet, the controller will immediately check for
a software update. It is highly recommended to let the update be installed
before proceeding. You need a WiFi connection in order to link the
secondary controller.

(2) Account Setup
Account setup is an optional process. However, getting an
account will unlock some of the advanced features offered by
the QUE system. These features include mobile connectivity via
the QUE Connect App, energy history display and more.
To setup an account, from your mobile smart device:
Download QUE Connect from App Store (iOS) or Google Play
(Android) for corresponding smart devices.
Open the app then touch sign up. Use a valid email address and
unique password.
Follow the on screen instructions to finalise your account set up.
NOTE:
This process will be skipped if internet connection is not available. This
may be completed later by going to ‘ Menu’ then select ‘Settings’ then
‘Account Settings’.
Download and usage of QUE Connect App will require internet data.
Mobile data charges may apply.
On master controller, touch the second circle ‘Account Setup’
Touch to proceed linking master controller to QUE
Connect App.

3Next screen will start the process of connecting a secondary
controller. Touch to proceed.
Enter the system name to be assigned. Touch ‘Done’
when finished.
(3) Connect System
Touch the third circle, ‘Connect System’.
Log-in using the email address and password used in QUE
Connect App sign up.
When the account is accepted, your A/C system and QUE
Connect App are now connected and ready for remote
operation once the setup process is complete. Touch ‘Done’ to
proceed to next process.
NOTE:
This section is only required if a secondary wall controller is required.
Otherwise, touch X and proceed.
NOTE:
Can use up to 30 characters for a system name. Avoid using non-alphanumeric
and foreign characters.

On the next screen touch ‘ ’ to start the process.
Master controller will start to search for secondary controller.

Connect the secondary controller to the WiFi network.
Follow the same process as (1) Connect WiFi.
NOTE:
Make sure that the secondary controller is connected to indoor board
terminal (secondary), powered ON and connected to the same SSID point
as the master controller.
When successful, the screen will show that 1 main controller has
been connected. Touch to proceed. Check the serial number
to ensure that the correct controller is connected. Touch ‘Done’
to proceed to next process.
Next screen will show the two controllers connected. WiFi
strength and serial numbers of both controllers are displayed
on the screen
NOTE:
Once connected to the internet, the secondary controller will
immediately check for a software update. It is highly recommended
to let the update be installed before proceeding.

Setting up a Non-Zoned System
After step 8 above, touch ‘Please setup system devices’.
Select which device will be used on the system.
(i) Touch to use a remote sensor. Then follow the on screen
instructions to setup.
OR
(ii) Touch to use master controller. Then follow the on screen
instructions. It is possible to use the secondary controller if
connected. This will be visible on screen.
The next process will begin the setup of your system and/or
connecting zone devices. Touch system or zone set up is
required in the system, otherwise touch .
NOTE:
Touching will use the default configuration. As a default, sensor
assigned is from master wall controller. Proceed to (4) Account Setup.

NOTE:
Zone controller is not allowed in non-zoned system.

(iii) If additional devices are required to average a reading,
touch ‘Add a system device’ then follow the on-screen
instructions.
You can add a remote sensor, a master controller or secondary
controller (if available).
NOTE:
When pairing a remote sensor, record the serial number shown on the
back of the device and ensure that the same number appears on the
master controller screen during the setup.

Setting up a Zoned System
After step 8 on page 15, to setup, touch any zones
connected to the system.
Touch ‘Zone name’ to assign a name. Then touch ‘ Add
a zone device’ to add a device. For each zone, select
the desired device assignment options.

Option 1 : Zone will use the zone controller
(i) Touch ‘A new zone controller’.
(ii) Follow the on screen instructions.
(iii) On the right side of the zone controller, press and hold the
pair button for three seconds.
Green blinking light means pairing is successful.
Red blinking light means pairing has failed. Repeat this
step until pairing is successful.

(iv) Zone summary will also show zone controller is paired to
the zone.
(iv) The next screen will show that the Zone Controller is now paired
to the zone. It will also show the serial number of the connected
device. Make sure this is the same serial number of the actual
connected device (check the back of the device for serial number).
Touch ‘<Back’.
Option 2 : Zone will use a remote sensor
(i) Touch ‘A new remote Sensor’.
(ii) Follow the on screen instructions.

(v) Zone summary will also show remote sensor is paired
to the zone.
(ii) On the right side of the remote sensor, press and hold the
pair button for three seconds.
(iv) The next screen will show that the Remote Sensor is now
paired to the zone. It will also show the serial number of
the connected device. Make sure this is the same serial
number of the actual connected device (check the back of
the device for serial number).
Touch ‘Back’.
• Green blinking light means pairing is successful.
• Red blinking light means pairing has failed.
Repeat this step until pairing is successful.

Option 3: Zone will use both remote sensor and zone controller
to average temperature reading.
(i) Follow the steps of Option 3 to use remote sensor. Then on
screen, touch ‘add a zone device’.
(ii) Touch ‘zone controller’. Then follow the same process as using
zone controller in Option 2.
(iii) Setup screen will show two devices are paired to the zone.
NOTE:
It is also possible to pair the zone controller first, before pairing the remote
sensor.
Option 4: Zone is assigned to two remote sensors
Follow the same process as Option 4. However, instead of zone
controller, select zone sensor as a second device.
NOTE:
Pairing two zone controllers in one zone is not allowed.
