INSTALLATION
ToinstalltheSFPOC‐3intoanappropriatemodule,completethe
followingsteps:
1. InspecttheSFPOC‐3.Ifdamaged,fileaclaimwiththecar‐
rierandthencontactADTRANCustomerSupport.
CAUTION
!
DonotremovetheprotectiveendcapfromtheSFPuntilthefiber
opticcableisreadytobeconnected.
2. InserttheSFPOC‐3intotheSFPcageonthemodule.Ensure
thatthemanufacturer’slabelontheSFPisfacingupwardfor
correctinstallation.
3. SlidetheSFPOC‐3allthewayintothereceptacleuntilthere
isanaudible“click”.
NOTE
ThelatchontheSFPisusedtoremovetheSFPfromthecageon
thecircuitcard.
PROVISIONING
TheSFPOC‐3isnotdirectlyprovisionable.ToprovisiontheSFP
OC‐3,accessthemenusystemofthehostmodule.Refertothe
“Provisioning”sectionoftheJobAidorI&Mprovidedwiththe
hostmoduleforprovisioningdetails.
