1 For your safety
These mounting instructions apply to all DLT-V72 and DLT-V83 models. They describe
how to attach the appropriate Advantech-DLoG scanner mounting kit.
Read and observe the mounting instructions carefully.
Keep them for future reference.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to weight and sharp-edged parts.
The DLT-V72 / DLT-V83 can fall down and cause injuries due to its weight. The
strain relief rail can have sharp edges and cause cutting injuries.
Always hold the device by the housing with both hands.
Never use the antenna cap as a handle. It can break due to the weight
involved.
Do not hold the device by the strain relief rail.
Use the assistance of a second person for installation work.

Risk of injury and damage due to improper installation
These mounting instructions are intended for skilled personnel. Only qualified
skilled personnel may mount/install DLT-V72 / DLT-V83 devices
1.1 Tools required
−Allen key (5 mm width for M6)
−Socket wrench (size 7)
1.2 Installation sequence
If the DLT-V72 / DLT-V83 is being used with a mounting bracket and a scanner
mounting kit:
First attach the mounting bracket to the DLT-V72 / DLT-V83.
Then attach the scanner holder.
Not until then, mount the complete system at the deployment location, e.g. to the
forklift.
Please note: In addition to the mounting bracket, one accessory holder each can be
attached (on each side).

2 Scanner holder assembly
Assemble the scanner holder from the following components as shown in figure.
Adjust according to the scanner size.
Please note: Die intermediate screw (position of figure: 20) is only required for the
DLT-V83, not for the DLT-V72.
