AutoProvisioning
Autoconfigurationplaysaveryimportantroleinamassivephones’deployment.Withauto
provisioningapplication,IPphonesareallplugandplaywhileinstallation.AEIusesDHCP
option66,astandardTFTPserverandanAEIconfigurefilecreatortoachievethegoal.By
defaultforallAEIIPphones,theyareautoconfigurationenabledwithDHCPoption66.
Meaningthat,aphonegetTFTPserverIPaddressatthesametimewhenitacquiredIP
addressfromaDHCPserver.ThenthephonegoestotheTFTPserverrequestaconfigurefile
namedbyitsMACaddress,forexample,000e43c00123.cfg.Andifthefileisthereonthe
TFTProotfolder,itwilldownloadandprovisioningtheconfiguration.
