Scope
This operator manual describes the daily operation and maintenance of the
Drystar Kiosk by the hospital staff.

Intended Use
The Agfa Drystar kiosk is a self-service terminal to be used in hospitals for
patients of radiology departments to collect their images (film) and radiology-
reports (paper). The user identifies himself to the Agfa Drystar Kiosk by
means of a barcode, which he obtained on leaving the radiology department.
The Drystar Kiosk connects to a print server which collects patient radiology
film and paper from the hospital PACS and RIS system

Indications for Use
The patient identifies himself and triggers the Drystar Kiosk via scanning a
unique barcode. All actual reports and images under his name will be printed.
Drystar Kiosk cannot be used as direct printing device.
Drystar Kiosk is available in two versions:
• One equipped with a Drystar 5302 or DRY 2.4 printer. This version is not
suited to print mammography high density images.
• One equipped with a Drystar AXYS printer. This version is suited to print
mammography high density images.

Intended User
Intended users of Agfa Drystar kiosk are:
• patients for requesting print jobs
• hospital staff or third party service provider for daily operation and
maintenance, further referred to as user or operator.

Configuration
One or more Drystar Kiosks are connected to a central print server database. A
nurse workstation can be available for monitoring the status of the Drystar
Kiosk devices and for performing some tasks on the print server database.
For daily maintenance following accessories are required:
• barcode for the operator to enter the operator screen
• barcode to shutdown the system
• triangular key to open the doors to access the film printer and paper
printer
