IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using the Sandwich Press, basic safety precautions should
always be followed including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using.
2. Before connecting the Sandwich Press to the electrical power supply,
check that the voltage indicated corresponds with the voltage in
your home. If this is not the case, do not use the Sandwich Press.
3. Never use the Sandwich Press when it is damaged in any way.
4. WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switch off the Sandwich Press
to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
5. Keepatanadequatesafetydistancefrominammableobjectssuch
as furniture, curtains, etc.
6. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cable,
plugs or the Sandwich Press in water or any other liquids.
7. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufactureroritsserviceagentorasimilarqualiedpersonin
order to avoid a hazard. See Returns Policy.
8. The user must not leave when the Sandwich Press is being used. Do
not allow children use or be close to the Sandwich Press.
9. Do not let power cable hang over the edge of the table or kitchen
worktop or close to hot surfaces.
10. PlacetheSandwichPressonaatheatresistantsurfacecloseto
theelectricalsupplysocketandkeepawayfromanyinammables
and explosives.
11. Always ensure that you have disconnected the plug from the
electrical supply socket on the wall before proceeding to clean the
Sandwich Press or after using every time.
12. Make sure that the power cable does not come into contact with the
heated parts of the Sandwich Press.
13. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the
Sandwich Press is in operation. Do not touch hot surfaces. Please
use the Handles.
14. The use of attachments that are not recommended by the Sandwich
Pressmanufacturermaycauseinjury.
15. The Sandwich Press needs to be connected to an electric power
supply having an earthing contact.

16. Sandwich Press is not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote-control system.
18. This Sandwich Press is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the Sandwich Press by a
person responsible for their safety.
19. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the Sandwich Press.
20. The Sandwich Press is not intended for outdoor use.
21. This Sandwich Press is intended to be used in
household environments.
22. Allow the Sandwich Press to cool down before cleaning or storing.
BEFORE FIRST USE
• Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
• Remove all packaging.
• Clean the Cooking Plates by wiping a sponge or cloth dampened in
warm water.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE UNIT AND DO NOT RUN WATER DIRECTLY
ONTO THE COOKING SURFACES.
• Dry with a cloth or paper towel.
• For best results, lightly coat the Cooking Plates with a little cooking
oil or cooking spray.
Note:WhenyourSandwichPressisheatedforthersttime,itmayemit
slight smoke or odor. This is normal with many heating appliances.
This does not affect the safety of your appliance.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
• Close the Sandwich Press and plug it into the wall outlet, you
will notice that the Ready Light will come on, indicating that
the Sandwich Press has begun preheating.
• It will take approximately 3 minutes to reach its optimum
temperature. At that point the Ready Light will go off.
• Open the Sandwich Press, put the sandwich, meat or other foods on
the bottom Cooking Plate.
• Close the Sandwich Press. The Ready Light will go on again.
• Cook for about 3 to 8 minutes, the Ready Light goes off again, or
untilgoldenbrown,adjustingthetimetosuityourown
individual taste.
• When the food is cooked use the Handle to open the Sandwich
Press. Remove the food with the help of a plastic spatula. Never use
metal tongs or a knife as these can cause damage to the non-stick
coating of the Cooking Plates.
• Onceyouarenishedcooking,disconnecttheplugfromthewall
outlet and leave unit open to cool.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
• Always unplug the Sandwich Press before storage.
• Always make sure the Sandwich Press is cool and dry before string.
• The power cord can be wrapped around the bottom of base
for storing.
• Always unplug the Sandwich Press and allow it to cool before
cleaning. The Cooking Plates are easier to clean when slightly warm.
There is no need to disassemble the Sandwich Press for cleaning.
• Wipe Cooking Plates with a soft cloth to remove food residue.
For baked on food residue, squeeze some warm water mixed
with a mild detergent over the food residue then clean with a non
abrasive plastic scouring pad or place wet kitchen paper
over the grill to moisten the food residue.
• Do not use anything abrasive that can scratch or damage the
non-stick coating.
• Do not use metal utensils to remove your foods, they can damage
the non-stick surface.
• Wipe the outside of the Sandwich Press with a damp cloth only. Do
not clean the outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool,
asthiswilldamagethenish.Donotimmerseinwateroranyother
liquid.
• Do not place in the dishwasher.
• Remove and empty the drip tray after each use and wash the tray
in warm, soapy water. Avoid the use of scouring pads or harsh
detergents as they may damage the surface.
• Rinse and dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth and replace.

TheManufacturerherebyprovidesawarrantytotheoriginalpurchaserofthisproduct(‘the
consumer’)thatthisproductwillbefreeofmanufacturingdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanship
which under normal, personal, family or household use (commercial use expressly excluded)
manifest themselves within the 2 year from the date of purchase.
EXCLUSIONS
• The warranty does not include and will not be construed to cover products damaged as a
result of disaster, misuse, commercial use, not in accordance within the written instructions
includedwiththeproduct,abuseand/oranynon-authorisedmodicationoftheproduct,
incorrect installation of the product or normal wear and tear.
• Remote Controls do not fall under warranty.
• Insect infestation of the electrical or motor makes the claim invalid.
• Broken Glass or Customer abuse do not fall under the warranty.
WAIVER
The warranty and the obligations of the Manufacturer provided herein are in lieu of, and the
consumer, waives all other warranties, guarantees, conditions or liabilities, express or implied,
arising by law or otherwise, including without limitation, any obligation of the manufacturer in
respectofanyinjury,lossordamage(direct,indirectorconsequential)arisingoutoftheuseof,
orinabilitytousethisproductandwhetherornotoccasionedbythemanufacturer’snegligence
or any act or omission on its part.
PROOF OF PURCHASE
Any claim in terms of the warranty must be supported by a proof of purchase. If such proof
isnotavailable,thennotwithstandinganythingtothecontraryherein,theserviceagent’s
prevailing charges for services/repairs and/or spares will be payable by the Consumer upon
collection of the repaired product. The Consumer should call the Pick n Pay CUSTOMER
CARE number on 0860 30 30 30 (only in South Africa). Customers residing outside South
Africa can return the product back to a Pick n Pay store. During the warranty period the
productmayonlybeservicedand/orrepairedbytheManufacturer’sdulyauthorisedagent(s).

be faulty during normal
use due to defective
materials or workmanship.

REPAIRS PROCEDURE
Should you experience any faults on your Aim product, please adhere to the following
proceduretohavethefaultrectiedspeedilyandprofessionally.
You can return the product to the store.
Call the Pick n Pay CUSTOMER CARE number on 0860 30 30 30 (only in South Africa) to
report the fault and make arrangements for the next steps.
Note: Should you live in an outlying area or outside South Africa, it may be necessary to
return the product to the store nearest to you.
COST OF REPAIRS
UNDER WARRANTY
Any items still under warranty will be repaired free of charge, as long as it complies with the
terms and conditions of the warranty (refer to “warranties” section in this manual). Any items
thatneedtoberepairedthatareNOTcoveredinthewarrantywillbefortheconsumer’s
expense. A quote for the repair/replacement of these items will be provided to the consumer
for approval prior to repairs being conducted.
OUT OF WARRANTY
Anyitemsthatneedtoberepairedoncethewarrantyhasexpiredwillbefortheconsumer’s
expense including call out fees. A quote for the repair/replacement of these items will be
provided to the consumer for approval prior to repairs being conducted.
