DESCRIPTION:
TheNDRintercomsystemprovidesthesamefeatures
as the NEM, but with the added ability to selectively
control remote devices (such as door strikes,
maglocks,lights,alarm contacts, and others). Masters
are available in 10, 20, 30, and 40 station sizes, with
or without a handset. Add-on selectors in 20 or 40
stationsizescanbeconnectedtoexpandthesystem’s
capacity. Single or dual master system (w/adaptors),
andfullyintermixablewithallNEMseriescomponents.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Power Source: 24V DC. Use PS-2410A for NDR-10, 20. Use PS-24E for NDR-30, 40.
Current Consumption: Maximum 45W
Power Output: 500mW per channel for intercom. 3W per 10 stations for All Call/BGM
Calling: Pressing call button activates tone and LED at master, remaining until answered
Communication: Press-to-talk, release-to-listen at master, or voice actuated handset (NDR- n A only).
Hands free at remote.
Talk Channel: Single talk channel
Wiring: 1 common wire plus 1 individual wire per sub station looped, or 2 wires homerun
from each sub station. Separate 2 conductor to RY-PA and external device.
Shielded cable is recommended. Use Aiphone #822202 (22AWG) or
#821802 (18 AWG) 2-conductor wire.
Wiring Distance: 420’ w/ 22AWG; 1000’ w/ 18AWG
Contact Ratings: 12V DC, 30mA. Connect RY-PA for dry closure output.

ARCHITECTS/ENGINEERS’ SPECIFICATIONS:
The intercom system shall be of an open voice, selective
calling type, available in 10, 20, 30 or 40 station sizes, with
20 and 40 station add-on selectors for expansion.
Master station shall have individual selector buttons with
associated LEDs for call-in indication, and a directory for
station labeling. A call from a sub shall light the LED and
activate the call tone until the call is answered. The call
shall be answered by pressing the station’s selector button,
then TALK button to transmit, and release to listen (or via
handset with “A” model). Hands free reply from sub. The
system shall include All Call, allowing the master to make
general announcements to all remote stations. There shall
be no talkback from an All Call.

Master station shall be equipped with power ON/OFF switch,
transmit and receive volume controls, ALL CALL, TALK and
door release buttons. Station selectors shall be in rows of
five, with an OFF button for each row. ALL CALL button shall
initiate a call to all connected stations. A “POWER” LED shall
indicate incoming power to the master station.
Compatible remote stations shall include surface or flush
mount styles, with or without privacy, outdoor stations, and
vandal proof stations (surface or flush mounted, weather
resistant).
System shall be manufactured by Aiphone.
