SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, GLARE, OR INJURY:
1. Do not stare at the powered light source.
2. Setup/foldback must be performed by qualified personnel.
3. Do not try to modify/repair your Sirocco by your own: all service must be performed by AIRSTAR authorized personnel only.
4. Always disconnect your product unit and wait for 15min cool down before servicing.
5. Do not operate your product with a damaged envelope or without an envelope.
6. Do not operate your product with damaged electronics or if parts are missing.
7. Do not operate your stand-mounted product on an uneven surface or a sloping ground >8° from the horizontal.
8. Do not use your product if wind speed exceeds 62mph (100km/h).
9. AIRSTAR strongly recommend the use of our proved light stands.
10. Be aware of local weather conditions and changes, especially wind speed. Adapt stand height accordingly.
WARNING
When using your Sirocco outdoor, basic safety precautions should always be followed, to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and
personal injury, including the following:
1. For USA, use only NEMA 5-15 “Edison” plug extension cords connected to the correct electrical source outlets.
2. Always use Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection when operating your Sirocco in areas near water, and during
inclement weather.
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS WITH YOUR PRODUCT
PRECAUTIONARY PRINCIPLES
1. DO NOT LEAVE DEFLATED ENVELOPE UNCOVERED WHEN NOT IN USE.
2. Store your Sirocco in a dry, ventilated area away from heat sources and chemical products.
3. Make sure that envelope is completely dry before storage.
4. Do not use chemical solvents to clean the envelope. Use mild soap and water if necessary.
5. Protect the envelope by operating away from walls, projectiles, electric wires, trees, animals, etc.
6. Do not modify the electrical components or unit structure.
7. Do not operate your Sirocco if cable is damaged, twisted, or tangled.
8. Care must be taken to always operate the product with a filter as clean as possible and not clogged, the change in color or
in appearance of the filter requires cleaning. A poor air intake rises inside air temperature and shortens lifetime of
electronics components.
9. Care must be taken when handling the product stored in its original packaging (incorporating its reinforcements). Be careful
not to drop the product under its own weight when loading or unloading.
10. Any damaged or torn container must be replaced.

•The power cord must be replaced in case of broken parts or excessive wear and tear.

INSTALLING YOUR SIROCCO ON A STAND
Make sure there is sufficient space in the installation area to allow the balloon to be inflated and to prevent the product from
tipping over when inflating.
NOTE:
•Always use AIRSTAR-approved stands designed to work with your Sirocco unit.
•Always securely tighten all T-Handles to avoid injury.
•Stands are designed for vertical mounting of Sirocco units ONLY.
⇒Unfold the stand.
⇒Lock the base in place.
⇒On the optional stand P500AH (Fig. 4), lift the outer cylinder at the base slightly, then hook the oval locking ring over the safety
hook.
⇒On the optional stand P500TA, slide the stand legs out from the folded position until the support bars are exactly horizontal.
⇒On the P500AH (Fig. 4), weights must be placed on each foot at 24 in (60 cm) from the center of the stand.
⇒On the P500TA (Fig. 5), weights must be placed on each support at 20 in (50 cm) from the center of the stand.
⇒Follow this correlation table (indicative for a flat floor and a steady wind)
⇒Guy ropes are the only way to ensure the safety of the light stand in strong or gusty wind.
⇒In the case of an uneven surface or sloping ground, the stand column must remain vertical and the tripod legs must rest on a
solid surface.

MAINTENANCE
LED MODULE
⇒It is important to replace any damaged led module.
⇒The replacement of a led module has to be done in the AIRSTAR network, please contact your AIRSTAR reseller.
ENVELOPE
⇒A damaged envelope must immediately be repaired or replaced.
⇒Regularly clean the envelope with mild soap and water. Citrus-based cleaners can be used, although be sure to test a small area
before cleaning entire envelope.
How to change an envelope
Remove the old envelope
⇒Open the zipper
⇒Unscrew the nut on top of the envelope
⇒Remove the envelope from the bottom to the top
Install a new envelope
⇒Place the new envelope from top to bottom
⇒Loosely screw the nut on top of the envelope
⇒Close the zipper
⇒Tighten the nut on top of the envelope
Patching A Hole
⇒Make sure to thoroughly clean the area to be patched.
⇒Cut a square out of the included self-adhesive fabric sheet just large enough to cover the damaged part of the envelope.
⇒Remove the protective film from the adhesive side of the patch material.
⇒Carefully place the patch onto the damaged part of the envelope, inside and outside the envelope.
⇒Firmly applying pressure to the areas of contact around the patch edge.
CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
⇒Under the south pole plate, remove the rain cover protection and its 3 screws.
⇒Remove sponge-type air filter by sliding it along the support stand.
⇒Wash it or replace it.
⇒Put back the clean air filter.
⇒Put back the rain cover protection and its 3 screws.

WARRANTY
At AIRSTAR, we are very proud of our quality control and the reliability of our Sirocco product line. We also understand that there
will occasionally be issues that need to be covered under warranty, so we offer the following coverage:
•Your Sirocco envelope is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 6 (six) months from the date of purchase.
•The electronic and structural components of your Sirocco are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 1 (one) year from the
date of purchase.
•In the event of a manufacturing defect or possible warranty issue, call your Authorized AIRSTAR Dealer to initiate a warranty claim.
Send your Sirocco unit (via ground shipping), along with a copy of your original invoice, to your Authorized AIRSTAR Dealer for
technical analysis.
AIRSTAR technicians will determine if your troubleshooting is covered under warranty.
After repair, AIRSTAR will return your Sirocco at our expense, via ground shipping. (Express available at extra charge.)
•If complete unit replacement is required, AIRSTAR must receive original unit before shipping replacement unit.
AIRSTAR cannot be held responsible for improper handling by the user. Any operation on the envelope or electric equipment that is not
specified in this manual, or any use of unapproved tools or components is not covered by this warranty and remains the sole
responsibility of the user.
