Before You Use this Product
This product has been designed with safety in mind. However, if not used properly, electrical products can cause
fires which may lead to serious bodily injury. To avoid such accidents, be sure to heed the following:

Video and audio surveillance can be forbidden by laws that vary from country to country. Check the laws in your
local region before using this product for surveillance purposes.
Heed the safety precautions
Be sure to follow the general safety precautions and the “Operation Notice.”
In case of a breakdown
In case of system breakdown, discontinue usage and contact your authorized dealer.
In case of abnormal operation
• If the unit emits smoke or an unusual smell,
• If water or other foreign objects enter the cabinet, or
• If you drop the unit or damage the cabinet:
1 Disconnect the cable and the connecting cables.
2 Contact your authorized dealer or the store where you purchased the product.
Operation Notice - Operating or storage location
Avoid operating or storing the camera in the following locations:
• Extremely hot or cold places (operating temperature: 0 °C to +50 °C [32 °F to 122°F])
• Exposed to direct sunlight for a long time or close to heating equipment (e.g., near heaters)
• Close to sources of strong magnetism
• Close to sources of powerful electromagnetic radiation, such as radios or TV transmitters
• Locations subject to strong vibration or shock
Ventilation
To prevent heat buildup, do not block air circulation around the device.
Transportation
When transporting the camera, repack it as originally packed at the factory or in materials of equal quality.

Cleaning
• Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the external surfaces of the device. Stubborn stains can be removed using a soft
cloth dampened with a small quantity of detergent solution, then wipe dry.
• Do not use volatile solvents such as alcohol, benzene or thinners as they may damage the surface.

Follow these steps to install the POE-100CAMV2 on your Ethernet:
1. Check the package contents against the list below.

Examine the Package
Open up the package to check if you have all the included components.
Contact your Vendor is you are missing any components.
You should have the following:

Note: Additional User’s Manual can be found in the setup disk or it can be downloaded from www.airlive.com
Once you have everything, you can begin setting up the camera
Mounting the IP Camera
To mount the camera to the wall or ceiling, you will need some addition tools as follow:
1. Small Hammer
2. Philip Head Screw Driver
3. Power or Cordless Drill
4. 3/16” Drill Bit

Step 1
Using the screw holes on the mounting base
as a guide, make a mark with a pen for
drilling.
Step 2
Using a 3/16” drill bit, drill holes on the wall or
ceiling
Using the hammer, tap the white anchor into the
wall or ceiling until it was almost flush.
Note: The white anchor is used to hold the
screw when mounting onto a concrete surface.
If you are mounting onto a wooden surface, you
do not need the anchor. Use a 1/8 drill bit
instead of a 3/16” drill bit when you are mounting
onto a wooden surface

Fasten the mounting connector to the back of the camera

Fasten the camera (using the other end of the connector) to the shaft

Adjust the camera to your desire

InstallingtheSoftware
Insert the camera setup disk into the
computer. The auto-run menu should
be activated. If the auto-run menu is
not activated, double click your disc
drive icon from your file browser
Click on “IP Search Tool” to install the
software

Click “Yes” to begin installation
Follow the on screen instructions to
install the software.
You must install the Xvid Codec if you
had not previously installed the codec.

You will find a new shortcut had been
create on your desktop. Click on the
shortcut to open the Camera Setup
application
You can also open the application from
the Start Menu
Note:
Beforeyoubegin,ensurethatyourIPCameraisconnectedtoyournetworkviaLANcable.Allinitial
settings(includingsettingupforwirelessnetwork)mustbedonethrutheLANcable.

If there are more than 1 IP Camera found on your network, identified the camera you wish to setup by
the MAC address stated on the back of your camera.
If the text listing your IP Camera is show in red, you will need to initialize your camera. Click on the
Setup button on the right
You will be prompt for username and
password. The default username and
password for AirLive IP Camera are as
follows:
After you enter the username and
password, the next screen shows the
Product Name and the firmware version.
You may wish to copy down the firmware
version number for future firmware
upgrade. Click “Next” to continue

If you want your IP Camera to have a
static IP, enter the IP address here.
Otherwise leave it as automatic.
Click “Next” to continue
If you are using PPPoE services to
access your Internet, enter the
information here. You can obtain
your PPPoE details from your
Internet Service Provider
Change your username and password
and click “Next” to continue
Set your time preference and click
“Next”

You will be returned to the main screen.
Notice that the line that lists out your IP
Camera is now black in color. This means
the IP Camera had been successfully setup.
Copy down the IP address of your IP Camera.
Click “Link to IE” to access the configuration
page of your camera

Alternatively, you can open your Internet
Explorer and type in your camera IP
Address
You will be prompt for username and
password. These will be the username
and password you had create during the
setup process
You can install additional language pack for the
IP Camera. The language packs are located
at “\CD ROM Drive\SetupWizard\Language\”
Once you are done, click “Next”
Click “Apply” to reboot your IP

If you see a yellow bar on the top of the page, click “OK” and install the ActiveX control

Chapter 2 Using IP Camera via Mobile Phone
To use IP cameras via mobile phones, please make sure your RTSP is set to “ON”. (Default is “ON”) To
change the settings of IP cameras, please see “Settings” for details.
2.1 3G Mobile Phone Viewing
For 3G mobile phone viewing, type “rtsp://<IP>:<PORT>/video.3gp” into your 3G web browser. <IP> is the IP
address of your IP camera, <PORT> is the RTSP port of your IP camera (Default value is 8554.)
Example: rtsp://100.10.10.1:8554/video.3gp
Note:
• You can also use RTSP clients (RealPlayer, MPlayer, Windows Media Player, QuickTime…etc.) to view RTSP
streaming, just type in “rtsp://<IP>:<PORT>/video.3gp” as the Player’s URL.
2.2 2.5G Mobile Phone Viewing
For 2.5G mobile phone viewing, type “<IP>/mobile.wml” into your 2.5G web browser. <IP> is the IP address of
your IP camera.
