
REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Please Note
Local regulations and codes may require the
owner to carry out and record, specific regular
maintenance, cleaning, and draining of
evaporative cooling units.
Pre-Season Maintenance
1. Turn off the electric power supply.
2. Remove the Celdek pads frames.
3. Fit new Celdek pads if necessary.
The frequency depends on the daily use of
the air conditioner, the state of the
environment and the quality of the water.
Each of these factors affects the life of the
pad.
Please note that the Celdek pads have been
selected to give the highest possible cooling
performance. When replacing pads do not
use alternatives without being convinced of
the ability to match those originally supplied.
The manufacturer is not responsible for the
performance of the air conditioner when
alternative materials have been used.
4. Clean the Celdek pads with clean water.
5. Flush out the reservoir.
6. Reconnect the water supply line if
disconnected and turn on the main water
supply.
7. Check the float valve for correct operation
and level control. Check the water level.
8. Check the fan belt tension and adjust if
necessary.
9. Refit the Celdek pad frames.
10. Restore electrical power supply and follow
the ‘Operating Instructions’.
11. Check pump operation and clear the strainer
basket.
In Season Maintenance
1. Turn off the power supply.
2. Turn off the main water supply.
3. Remove Celdek pad frames and hose them
down, being careful not to use excessive
pressure.
4. Check the water level and adjust the float
valve if necessary.
5. Restore electrical power supply and follow
the ‘Operating Instructions’.
6. Check the pump operation.
End of Season Maintenance
1. Turn off electrical power supply.
2. Turn of main water supply.
3. Remove the Celdek pad frames and hose
them down, being careful not to use excess
pressure.
4. Drain all the water from the unit by removing
the overflow stand pipe, Do not replace this
item until the start of the next season,
5. Clean and flush the reservoir thoroughly.
6. In areas subject to freezing temperatures,
disconnect the water supply line and drain
the water from the pipe. Leave disconnected
until next season.
7. Replace the Celdek pad frames.
8. Fit winter covers (optional) to protect unit
from the weather, and prevent escape of
winter warmth from your building through the
air ducts and the unit.
